I Thought It Was a Common Transmigration

Special 9. Flashback (2)

‘It seems like she knows what it means to be in charge of weapons-related documents, but she doesn’t seem to realize that this is the first part of the episode that will strangle her.’

Lise, who was keenly aware of Edith’s psychology, pretended not to notice but glanced at Edith at work. She had thought about it before, but Edith was good at her work. She was not embarrassed by the important documents she was suddenly entrusted with, and she quickly sorted them by feature just by looking at them once.

‘What on earth did you do in your past life?’

Lise tried to hide her discomfort because of Edith, who seemed more capable than her.

But Edith’s next behavior caught Lise’s attention. Edith was organizing information by drawing tables that did not exist in other documents.

‘Uh? Yes, that’s it!’

At that moment, Lise thought of a way to make Edith the culprit in this document leak incident.

‘They never mentioned writing documents using tables in the original work…!’

Lise hastily gave this world the following setting: ‘Do not use tables in formatting.’ Since no one knew about the concept of ‘tables’, it was clear that if documents organized using tables were found at Rigelhof’s office, Edith would be accused of being a criminal. However, Edith, who did not know Lise’s intentions, completely ignored Lise’s words, ‘I was helping because I was not used to the job,’ and even appealed to the duchess about her abilities, further ruining Lise’s mood.

‘Does it seem like you achieved anything by just doing something simple? ‘I didn’t even know that it would hold me back.’

Although Lise smiled innocently at her Edith, she sharpened her sword inside.

‘Sooner or later, the Rigelhof family will send a letter to Edith telling her to steal the documents.’

At that time, Lise took out the documents that Edith had organized, forged her handwriting, made copies, and sent them to the Rigelhof family. It was something that was accomplished so easily and simply. And just like in the original, Edith was immediately accused of being the culprit of this incident.

‘She did something she didn’t do, just like the original. Now, what are you going to do?’

Lise was embarrassed and waited for Edith’s reaction. However, Edith seemed to be quiet for some reason, and Cliff and Ludwig began investigating Lise’s scope of action and alibi.

This was something that had never happened before.

‘What? Why are Cliff and Killian investigating me? You should be questioning Edith while you’re interrogating me!’

Although she was embarrassed, Lise pretended not to know anything until the end. After waiting a few days, the original story took hold, and the document that Lise had sent to Rigelhof was placed in the hands of Duke Ludwig. Of course, that was ‘evidence that Edith was the culprit.’

‘You can’t even protest now, right? How crazy will it be?’

This episode was the first obstacle that most Ediths fell into. Lise responded to the Duke’s call, expecting that Edith would also fall greatly this time. The atmosphere in the office where she was called as a ‘witness’ was as serious as expected, and Lise acted as if she was surprised and studied Edith’s expression.

‘Are you still okay?’

But it was about to collapse. Lise answered the Duke’s questions and steadily framed Edith as if she were a criminal. But rather than being scared, Edith was mocking. She looked back to the end, wondering if she had seen it wrong, but Edith was still holding her proud chin up.

‘What on earth are you thinking when you do that? Isn’t it scary to sit like a criminal before the Duke?’

Lise was so curious about this that she waited in front of Edith’s room. When Edith was taken away by her knight and her maid, she was going to pretend to be worried and share her thoughts. But it wasn’t the knight and the maid who brought Edith to her.

“Lise…?”

“Ah! Killian… Edith…!”

Lise was so surprised that she almost made a strange expression again. However, Lise skillfully disguised a face full of worry and looked at them. Edith looked more depressed than before, but she seemed quite calm for someone who had almost been kicked out of this house. Edith wasn’t the only strange thing.

“Lise, let’s not talk about this anymore.”

“Killian?”

“Don’t dig into what’s already been done. Forget it. Understand?”

Killian was not excited even after hearing something that could push Edith away. Instead, he asked Lise, who had mentioned it, to forget about it. Edith had not yet met the first stage exception conditions, but Killian was already experiencing changes in his feelings toward her.

‘How did this happen? Isn’t the character change enough to threaten the flow of the original story? Edith Riegelhoff! What are you doing now?’

Lise felt a shiver run down her spine for the first time.

* * *

‘This is not the time to only believe in exception conditions and the flow of the original work. I need to crack down on Killian.’

As Lise was thinking those thoughts, she received news that Edith had collapsed. With the news that Killian immediately rushed to pick Edith up and carried her away. She ran to the front of Edith’s room and, sure enough, Killian came out with a confused expression.

Lise took his hand. She was able to determine Killian’s ‘pollution level’ from the hand she held.

‘It’s so different from Killian at this point in the original!’

He was feeling guilty about Edith, who had now fallen. Killian Ludwig felt guilty about Edith Riegelhoff. K had never written anything like this. As a result, Killian was suffering from severe headaches due to the effects of the deviation from the original work.

“Killian, it’s not your fault.”

Lise comforted Killian and gave him strength as the original author. It was a way to strengthen the character’s setting, reduce his headaches, and make him unconsciously lean on her. However, Killian’s repulsive power was unexpectedly large.

“I think Edith has a softer heart than she looks. She was so anxious that she collapsed… She may have been very hurt because she was innocent but no one believed her.”

It seems like he still hates Edith, but for some reason, Killian was defending her.

‘I’ve never had anything like this before…’

A cold feeling of anxiety descended. And that anxiety revealed itself within a few days.

[Level 1 exception conditions have been met. Exceptional circumstances arise and the authority of the original author is reduced. Stage 1 exception conditions will disappear.]

Lise, who had been sleeping for a while, was startled when she heard the announcement in her dream.

‘What? Already?’

There have been many Ediths that have met the stage 1 exception conditions, but it has never been at this point.

‘Which part of the original did you follow?’

In response to Rize’s question, the world’s system showed an image of a part of the original work in her dream. This was the part where Edith, cornered by the document leak incident, entered Killian’s bedroom in the middle of the night and seduced him.

‘You copied this part?’

Lise hurriedly checked what happened last night.

<Obsessed with Obsession: 13th Revision> unfolded before her eyes. Because it was being revised in real time, the back part of the book was blank. Lise quickly turned the pages and looked for the scene from last night. However, she had no choice but to close the book before she could even read half of the contents, which had been forcibly revised by Edith. Because she was unfolding 19-year-old content that she had never written before.

‘Unbelievable… Nonsense!’

It was unthinkable that Killian and Edith had a physical relationship. Killian, who had always been Lise’s sub-male, had completely given up on Lise and accepted Edith. Even if the exception conditions were met, something as big as this has never happened.

‘How on earth…?!’

It was an absurd thing, but she had no idea where to start to correct it.

* * *

For a while, Lise observed Edith and worked hard to strengthen her relationship with her. Fortunately, Edith did not hate Lise despite the discord among Sinclair’s people. Rather, Edith sometimes regarded Lise as her own ward. She did the same when she encountered Countess Bryn, who regarded Lise as a thorn in her eyes, at Count Ermenia’s bazaar. In front of Countess Bryn, who was mocking Lise in a cold and bright voice, Edith stepped forward, hiding Lise behind her.

“I can’t adapt to today’s social world. Country village men and such are wandering around the bazaar.”

Even Lise was surprised by that gutsiness. Edith, who had been dealing with Countess Bryn’s group for a while, glared at them as they walked away with Cliff’s appearance and whispered to Lise.

“Are you okay?”

There was genuine concern in those eyes.

‘I can’t figure it out.’

No matter how much she knew the original story and how she had to show off to the main characters, Edith saved Lise without any hesitation. As K, who couldn’t stand people who were better than her, she was the type that was difficult to understand. However, that would not be the case if Edith was a fool and innocent. Edith was always proud and showed no signs of trying to please Killian. She didn’t know what part of Edith was causing the change in Killian, but even at the bazaar, Killian showed a much different attitude from the original. Lise said hello first, but her gaze was directed at Edith.

“Has anything happened so far?”

“What’s the big deal? Just… I was bored.”

“Why? Because you don’t have me?”

“Ha! What the… aren’t you overly self-conscious?”

Edith and Killian weren’t aware of it, but a subtle pink air was already flowing between them. A glance that briefly meets and then turns away, but a subtle smile spreads across the mouth, a sneak peek at each other while pretending to look somewhere else, and a clearing of the throat to cover up the smile… If Edith did not completely meet the three-level exception conditions, the flow of the original story would maintain its power, but if the narrative between the two was solidly completed, no one would know what the ending would be.

Cannot believe I’m about to say this.

    I’m jealous of Lise.

She was able to read the ‘exciting’ posts in more detail🫢🤭🫣

      Me too.
      Unfair.

    2. Zeel says:

My thoughts exactly. So unfair that she got the R-19 version but wouldn’t even read it and we’re left with the PG-13 version

    3. Belle-chan says:

Lizard is a psychopath to the core. Stop reading a scene like that!!!??? And worse, she didn’t even let us see it. 😡😡😡

  2. Kari says:

  3. Zeel says:

Yo Lize got waaaayy too many buffs. She can even read the changes Edith made? Let alone be the antidote to Killian’s “pollution” AND gauge how much he was polluted just by touching him! I was hoping that at least she wouldn’t know they had sex the first time.

  4. bluepillow says:

Let’s be honest, lise character has too many buffs. Except the fairness part it is not logical sometimes!

  5. Reignee says:

Lise she…. She was able to get the hands of the R-19 version. AND DID NOT READ IT????

Girl, just give it to me, to us. You don’t want it, but we do!
