The Archduke’s Gorgeous Wedding Was a Fraud

* * *

Ultimately, the princess really liked the ‘strawberry shaved ice’.

“It is fascinating; it is really sweet and delicious, and it is also refreshing.”

“Right? I am glad Your Highness likes it.”

“I will have to have my palace chef replicate it; will that be okay?”

“Sure.”

Even if they try, the taste will not be the same. Because the food consumed in the amusement park receives a buff that adds approximately 1,000 flavor attributes.

I licked the syrup from my wooden spoon and returned my attention to the princess.

“You know, Your Highness, the garden is undeniably lovely, but there is an even more lovely spot.”

“Really? Where is it?”

“Yes, it is called a ‘aquarium,’ would you like to take a look?”

There was no way the princess would refuse such an offer.

She nodded her head in agreement.

“Alright, let’s go.”

“The attendants performing their duties may also enter; it is still not open to the public, but I will show you a glimpse of it.”

Of course, everything was ready. However, knowing that the princess would arrive today or tomorrow, I decided not to open it for the time being. That way, it will feel like you are getting special treatment.

The number of people trailing the princess was exactly double that of those trailing the prince. However, the aquarium was large enough to hold 200 people at once, so it would not be a problem.

“This way please.”

I used a red rope to barricade the path, preventing anyone from crossing. The Rentus Knights, who were guarding the area, widened their eyes when they saw the princess.

“There is no need for greetings.”

She motioned for the knights to remain still and turned to face the building.

The exterior shone iridescently, as if it had been dusted with pearl powder. It had a rounded head and a slim body that descended smoothly. As well as the forked tail.

“Is it a whale?”

“Yes, that’s right.”

The whale-shaped aquarium stood there like a snowfield that no one had yet trodden.

The music from the orchestra did not reach here because it was created in a separate location away from the main path.

Perhaps I will need to hire a separate small orchestra later on.

“Up until now, people had probably only seen marine creatures on the dinner table.”

I paused. Then I returned my gaze to the crowd as I continued my speech.

“However, things are different here; while you can not eat them, there are many beautiful fish that can be enjoyed as a spectacle, as well as rare creatures like turtles and jellyfish that are not easily seen.”

A buzz erupted as my explanation concluded.

Some of the nobles did not even know what a “turtle” or a “jellyfish” were.

I walked confidently, as if I were a tour guide escorting a group of tourists.

“Now, please come over here; this is a large aquarium!”

The saccharine marble floor was lit dimly.

The addition of wave-patterned lights created the illusion that you were walking into the depths of the sea.

A few moments later

An exclamation erupted from everyone’s lips.

“Look at that!”

“Oh my God!”

“What kind of monster is that?”

“You mean something like that exists in the world? Oh, El-raum!”

People here have never seen a shark. The same is true for whales and dolphins.

Maybe a fisherman on the beach, but not these aristocratic families.

So I created the world’s most docile great white shark.

All of the fish here are the result of my imagination, but this one was the best.

“It is not a monster; it is a shark, which has fearsome teeth, but this one is gentle.”

“Ahh! Isn’t it coming towards us now?”

“It is fine; it is separated by glass, so it is safe, and marine creatures can only live in saltwater; if they come out, they will die.”

That is when I began to feel more and more like a tour guide. It’s common sense to me, but it might be unfamiliar to these people.

‘That’s why it will be profitable.’

Based on their reactions, it appeared that the aquarium would be extremely popular once it opened.

Normally, an aquarium would be divided into sections.

But I just put them all together. They all have gentle temperaments, so as long as they are fed on time, they will not cause any problems.

“Above all, the purpose of this place is to cut a piece of the ocean and bring it to the land exactly as it is.”

I elegantly explained.

“You do not usually get to see the ocean, let alone be in it, so that is what makes it so fun, and showing children this kind of scenery is very good for their brain development.”

“Ohhhh, I see.”

“It is great for developing creativity!”

Now I felt like a peddler selling medicine. I continued to explain, my mouth drying up from speaking so much.

“Is it then possible to have this in our mansion?”

An elderly nobleman asked such a question at the time.

“Our granddaughter would adore it; what do you think about installing an aquarium within a mansion?”

I expected the nobles to say something along those lines. Naturally, the answer was ‘no.’

“I am sorry, but obtaining fish with such beautiful colors is an extremely difficult task; I barely managed to acquire them after a lot of effort, using various means.”

“Hmm.”

“While it is perfectly possible to raise fish inside a house, I cannot transfer the fish from our aquarium because they may become stressed and die.”

A simple answer in four words would be:

No, it won’t work.

But I could not say it so bluntly, so I explained and refused in a roundabout way.

The elderly noble clicked his tongue, disappointed, but that was not my concern.

After all, this is my business product.

“Aside from renting the entire amusement park, you can also rent the aquarium separately, and you can even hold events like birthday parties here, so feel free to inquire.”

It may be expensive, but they can certainly afford it for their precious granddaughter.

I smiled broadly and mentally counted the money that would soon pour in.

If the nobles rented the place frequently, the staff would receive larger bonuses. All I had to do was wait, because if one of them tried it, everyone else would follow in jealousy.

“It’s groundbreaking.”
