I Thought It Was a Common Transmigration

CHAPTER 111

“We have finished cleaning up the surrounding area.”

Ah, that’s not good news for her at all.

“Good. Lock the Duchess in the first room. She is a precious hostage, so be careful not to hurt her.”

“Are you going to lock me up separately from that woman?”

A man who appeared to be a mercenary asked, pointing at Lise.

“Oh, Lise is not a hostage. It’s my loot.”

Umm. How did Cliff beat up Shane in the original work? Did they just simply decapitate it, or cut it in half vertically…? It’s a bit thin, but if it continues like that, it’s certain that he will be split in half vertically. No, now was not the time for her to think about this. From now on, Sophia was going to get beaten up by that ignorant woman.

“What about this woman?”

The mercenary pointed at her.

“Ah, that girl goes to the basement. It’s a pain in the ass if anyone around here hears the shouting.”

It was so cold that she had goosebumps all over my body, but she felt like she would get goosebumps again. From now on, <House and Envoy> was planned to be a horror or thriller, not a romantic fantasy.

“Move quickly.”

At Shane’s command, the men around her lifted her up and left the place. After leaving the stone room, she was able to clearly look around.

‘It’s not a castle. Probably an old villa on the outskirts of the capital…’

There seemed to have been a time when it was popular for aristocrats who had never had their hands in the dirt but longed for country life to build farmhouse-style villas. It looked like a villa built at that time, but even though it was abandoned, traces of people were visible here and there.

‘They must have bought an abandoned villa and let the mercenaries sleep and feed here.’

If she hadn’t been caught yet, there was a high possibility that this place was quite remote or unexpected. Would Cliff come before something breaks in her? A sigh came out of her mouth.

‘No. When Shane looked at Lise earlier, the look in her eyes looked like she was about to do something. But wasn’t the rule here that the male protagonist appeared right before the female protagonist experienced something terrible?’

So that meant Cliff would come here sooner or later.

‘You just have to hold on a little longer, just a little longer…!’

As she walked down the stairs to the basement, slung around the mercenary’s shoulder, she soothed her nervousness. The basement was semi-private, but there was a window at the top, but it was dark because it was still early in the morning. The mercenary in front walked quickly holding a lantern and opened the door to what appeared to be a warehouse. And while he placed a lamp nearby, the mercenary who had come with her sat her down on a chair. It was a hard wooden chair with the worst seating comfort.

“Ah, ouch! A little bit… Please tie it gently. I can’t even move because I’m in pain anyway.”

With tears in her eyes, she asked the mercenary for a favor. She thought it was a failure because there was no change in expression on his indifferent face, but he gave her another look and tied her up much more gently than before. Of course, she wasn’t lying when she said he couldn’t move. Her shoulders were sore from how roughly she had been treated, with her hands tied behind her back. It felt like all her joints were out of alignment. But it was not the time for her to whine about being in pain.

“She’s not as good as the woman the captain took earlier, but she’s pretty good, right?”

The mercenary who had gently tied her up grabbed her chin and turned it from side to side, smiling darkly. Her gratitude for him quickly disappeared.

‘What should I do in times like this?’

She had never thought of being raped before. It seemed that only the main character could avoid such misfortune, so why did she believe it and be complacent?

“Ha ha ha… No way. My husband doesn’t even look at me.”

“Why? Does your husband have many lovers? Or is that incredibly beautiful woman from earlier your husband’s lover?”

“It wasn’t a lover…”

She was his unrequited love.

“I don’t know if people in high positions can afford to complain about side dishes, but people like us are good at picking up food unless it’s very spoiled.”

His hands traced her neck and ears more and more intensely. A chill ran down her spine. But the person watching suddenly asked.

“But, do you have any idea what kind of woman was taking orders from the captain earlier?”

“Yes? Sophia?”

“Is her name Sophia? She’s a bit of a scary looking girl with that black hair.”

“Yes. It’s Sophia.”

“What are you doing girl? For a woman, she speaks in a very blunt and commanding tone, but just looking at her, it doesn’t seem like she’s a noble.”

She braced herself, hoping that the topic of Sophia would be an opportunity to avoid this crisis.

“Is Sophia directing you?”

“The commander is in command. Oh, by the way, what is your relationship with the captain?”

“…He is my older brother.”

“What?”

The men were surprised. The mercenary who was groping her quickly withdrew his hand.

“If he is your older brother, are you his real sister?”

“Yes.”

“Huh… No, how did you show hate towards your brother that you ended up like this?”

She thought it was this time, so she bit her lip and squeezed out her tears.

“Perhaps you… Do you have any siblings?”

The two men looked at each other and then nodded half-heartedly.

“Are you close?”

“Well, it’s not bad.”

“I’m feeding them.”

Every time something like this happened, she felt envious of others and at the same time became very angry. Even mercenaries who treat people’s lives as if they were their own were good brothers to their younger siblings, so why were they like this to her?

“You both must be good older brothers and sisters. I envy your two younger brothers. I am… Ugh…”

When she remembered her older brother who was anxious because he couldn’t save his salary in her past life, she burst into tears even more.

“That Sophia from earlier is our family’s maid. But, did you see it? He is nicer to that maid than to me.”

The mercenaries nodded their heads hesitantly.

“Yeah, that was a little weird. But it doesn’t seem like the two of you are in that kind of relationship.”

“Sofia has a crush on my brother. And she is a maid at the same time… She’s also a mercenary.”

The two men let out sarcastic laughter at the same time.

“What, so you’re saying that a girl who’s not that different from us behaved so arrogantly?”

“Oh, this is pissing me off. When we captured the women earlier, she was commanding people with the tip of his chin, telling them to move here and there, as if she were the commander of some kind of unit?”

The mercenaries didn’t seem to have any good feelings about Sophia. She cried bitterly, hoping to gain their sympathy.

“Sophia has been tormenting me like that since I was little. When she saw that my brother hated me, she bullied me to her heart’s content. You don’t know how much I envied my trustworthy older brothers from other families.”

Even though she was revealing a story from her past, her tongue didn’t stiffen or she didn’t hear tinnitus. She didn’t know if it was because they were insignificant extras or because she was half-making up the story, but either way, it was a green light. This is because the mercenaries’ gaze took on a slightly pitiful tone.

“No, what’s so displeasing about such a pretty little sister…”

“My older brother grew up a little differently. He probably knows because he has been through it, so he knows only himself. Didn’t hr say some harsh things to you guys?”

“Ah, I got used to that a long time ago.”

“It’s something we do for money, but it feels a bit bad.”

‘Yes! A consensus has finally been formed!’

“My brother didn’t even treat me like his younger sister. I had an arranged marriage for my family, but my in-laws and my parents suddenly had a falling out. Then he made unreasonable demands, such as asking me to obtain information about my in-laws or installing something in the mansion.”

She sniffled once and looked at the mood of the mercenaries. Fortunately, the mercenaries were into her story.

“But would the Duke family have such lax defenses? So when I failed, they told me I was a traitor and a useless bitch… Hmm… Now I think they’re trying to kill me. How can a person called big brother be like this?”

“I know. I think the captain is doing something wrong…”

Even those whose job it was to kill people seemed to have compassion at the level of an average person.

“Sophia is coming to kill me. I will be tied up like this and brutally beaten to death, too… It’s so unfair.”

As she was shedding tears, they looked at each other and seemed to be thinking about something. Then the person carrying the lantern began to look outside, and the other person loosened the rope that bound her a little more. If she struggled hard, she felt like she could get her hand out through the gap in the rope.

“You know we can’t do anything special, right? If we let you out now, she’ll tie you up even tighter when she comes, knowing Sophia.”

“If you are lucky enough to survive, untie the rope and run away. This is Wellesley, south of the capital, so when you leave, you have to run north.”

Although the mercenaries had a brief moment of desire to rape her, they were at least much more forgivable than Shane or Sophia.

“Thank you. Thank you very much. So, let me tell you something.”

“Huh?”

“In a little while, Duke Ludwig’s knights will attack. So, as soon as you get out of here, run away.”

The two people laughed at her advice.

“Hey, girl. I can understand your earnestness, but I’m sure the Duke doesn’t even know the leader is here.”

“The Duke Knights chased after us earlier, but they lost us in the middle.”

She shook her head at them.

When your potential rapists show more sympathy than your own blood relation.

Right, how depressing is that. In both her lives her family were a bunch of good for nothing, selfish a**holes that deserve to disappear forever. I think stripping their titles, status and entire fortune and exiling them to an extremely cold place where they have to fend for themselves is the best way to punish them. Death is too easy and taking everything away is the only way they will truly suffer
