I Thought It Was a Common Transmigration

CHAPTER 092

“Fred. You are not obligated to accept my apology. But saying that I am ‘not the person to apologize’ seems like something that deserves an apology from me.”

“Yes?”

Fred looked really puzzled. What was it that he didn’t understand?

“You have always been an arrogant woman who looks down on others. It was a reigning little devil. Do you apologize for that? Nonsense.”

Ah… Fred. Even if he didn’t look like a squid, she would have rejected him.

“Then that means you were talking about true love without even knowing me very well.”

“What?”

“Fred. You don’t know how much I suffered from men like you. Everyone rushed to me just because of my appearance and family name. Do you know how horrible those greedy eyes were?”

Her stomach was boiling. But in the meantime, she heard a voice in her head again.

[When Edith Ludwig dies as a villainess, the story returns to its original track. 3 minutes until her death.]

Yes! The time until her death was extended by 3 minutes! She didn’t know how far they could extend it, but they had to endure it as much as possible.

“At first, I thought you would be different. But in the end, you whispered the same thing as other men. Do you remember?”

“W-what are you saying…”

“You said, ‘When are you going to give yourself to me?’ As if it wouldn’t have been nice if they had given me this much information and given me a gift…”

“Isn’t that obvious?”

“Therefore… It means that my body was your purpose from the beginning. You can’t add the word ‘love’ to it.”

Fred’s breathing became heavy. She wondered if she was provoking him, but she needed to correct his memory properly. The distorted memory of that man who only thought of himself as a pitiful victim.

“I was really disappointed there. That’s why I cut off contact. I sometimes wondered if I had misunderstood you, but after hearing what you said today, I guess I did not.”

Fred didn’t seem to know exactly what he had done wrong, but his previous fierceness had subsided.

“I am sorry for not living up to your expectations, but I am a completely different person from the nicknames such as Little Devil and Rigelhof’s Snake. I’m just an ordinary woman.”

“Then why do you do this to men? You pretended to give them your heart, took advantage of them, and then abandoned them!”

“I was just harassed by men. When they approached me, they whispered that they loved my true self, but in the end, they wanted my body. I just refused it!”

“Well, that can’t be…!”

“After getting married, I can live the way I want. Konkuk Festival is the only party I attended this year. I’m not interested in places where people gather, and I just read books and live a peaceful life. It’s boring, right?”

She smiled brightly at Fred and walked slowly. There was a lot of dust on the window so it was hard to see outside, but she walked to the window and looked outside and pretended to be lost in thought. She was quite nervous because she was acting calm with a person holding a knife behind her back.

“Even if you join me, I bet you’ll get sick of it within half a year. I am not the woman of your fantasy.”

“No… no…! My Edith…!”

“The Edith you imagine is probably a woman who seduces men like a seductress, makes them kneel at her feet, and provides her sweet flesh at night, right?”

There was no answer from Fred. She must have hit the nail on the head.

“Do you know what book I read recently? This is <Agricultural Book Customized for the Northern Central Region of the Empire>. I was impressed by the chapter on distinguishing between fresh and old beans. And today, I just came to buy new stockings because the stockings I usually wear had holes in the toes. Lately, I have been feeling a bit constipated and have gas in my stomach…”

“S-stop! Do not say! Don’t damage my Edith!”

As expected, he was just trying to fit me into the woman he had created in his imagination.

[When Edith Ludwig dies as a villainess, the story returns to its original track. 3 minutes until her death.]

It was extended again by 3 minutes.

‘Phew, this is really hard on my heart.’

“Fred. I’m not the woman you wanted. I’m just a meaningless being that you projected an illusion onto. Isn’t it too vain to end one’s life with such a meaningless existence? I mean, isn’t your life pitiful?”

If she had prepared this presentation with all her might in her past life, her status at the company would have gone up a lot. Well, it’s a game where you die if you don’t convince your opponent, so you have no choice but to do your best.

“That… I am… I am…”

“I know, Fred. You were thirsty for love, and it just so happened that I seemed like the woman you wanted. I was young too back then… Even though I knew that, I pretended not to know. It felt good to be under your passionate gaze.”

Fred soon began to whimper.

“Me… Have you ever loved one at all?”

“If I were only thinking about my own safety right now, I could lie and say I did that. But let me be honest for you. The feelings at that time were not ripe for love. It was things like curiosity, goodwill, and self-satisfaction.”

Fred lowered his head as if in despair. Shewas so nervous that he would open his eyes at any moment and run towards her.

‘Anna! Anna! Please notice that I’m gone!’

There was only one entrance to this damn building, so there was no room for her to escape.

From here, she either had to persuade Fred to go out on her own, or she had to hope that Anna, who noticed that she was gone, would come find her. The problem was that the hope of survival for either party felt very slim.

“Sorry… do.”

“Fred…!”

“I realized this while I was recuperating at the estate, but I like women who trample on me.”

‘Ha, what a taste… no. Tastes must be respected.’

“You are far from me.”

“I guess… I think I misunderstood you.”

She nodded her head with a benevolent expression, hoping that he would come to his senses, and consoled him, trying to give him hope.

“I heard at the party that men with tastes like yours are rare, so the queen-type women you like are always in short supply. So have hope, Fred.”

Fred smiled faintly and nodded his head.

“If you forgive me just once, I will never appear before you again. As an apology for my past, I will also forget what happened today.”

“Thank you. Ah, this is the luggage you were carrying earlier… huh…?”

‘Load? What luggage? Uh…? Now, wait!’

[When Edith Ludwig dies as a villainess, the story returns to its original track. 3 minutes until her death.]

As soon as she heard that sound, Fred’s shiny eyes with a sinister smile turned towards her.

In his hands was a book called “The Countess’s Pet Dog,” one of the books I had bought at the bookstore earlier. The cover picture showed a man lying flat on the floor wearing a dog leash and being stepped on by a woman wearing high heels.

“Hehehehehe… I almost got fooled by you again, Edith. My Edith!”

‘Damn it! Why did I put that book in!’

“Oh, it’s a misunderstanding, Fred! I don’t like all the other books!”

“Did you hate me enough to lie to me like this? Why? I can be your faithful pet dog, so why!”

He drew his dagger again.

“Because I’m ugly? Yes? Because I know very well what women say to me. Because it’s impossible for me to be good-looking… It would be okay if you became ugly.”

What kind of logic was that! But it seemed difficult to argue with that now. Because the sharp end of the dagger was already pointed at her face.

“Fred, calm down.”

“Don’t worry, Edith. Because I will definitely follow you. I promise.”

And then Fred rushed towards her.

“I told you to calm down!”

She lifted the chair she had been resting on earlier and slammed it towards him. Fred rolled on the floor with a crashing sound.

‘Omg! Is he dead?’

However, perhaps because she did not have enough strength, he stood up again with a surprised look on his face, holding on to the forearm that had been hit with the chair. She unintentionally landed his first chair shot, but things didn’t go so well. Unlike before, when he thought she was a helpless woman and approached her defenseless, now he was as if she were facing an armed robber.

“My father never hit me either…”

‘Ah, is that so? So the kid looks like this.’

“Fred. Don’t do anything stupid.”

“Even after I die, I will treat you as my queen forever, Edith. so… Please end accepting my love now.”

He lunged at her again and she swung the chair again. However, while pretending to swing a knife, she grabbed the leg of his chair and dragged him roughly. She almost got dragged by the chair, but quickly let go of the chair and ran behind the large table. From then on, a chase and chase fight broke out in a small room.

‘And if I get caught here, that’s when I really die.’

While she was running away, she looked around for something she could use as a weapon, but there wasn’t a single poker left in the building that seemed to have been abandoned for a long time.

“Aaaah!”

While she was looking around, Fred suddenly screamed and jumped on the table and attacked her.

“Aaaah!”

Her vision turned upside down as she heard a loud sound of something breaking and breaking. She fell to the floor and Fred, holding the knife, climbed on top of her and laughed maniacally.

  4. LadyP7 says:

I love how smart our Edith is. She definitely talked well in that situation. if only he didn’t look at that novel :/
If she saved herself this would be gr8 too, but I feel like Killian needs to be involved because of the damned restrictions, and so ppl would believe her and become weary of that b***** Lise!

    Thanks RJR <3 😀

  5. Tai says:

I think someone will come to save her… I thought this would and today, but here we go again into the tension and drama

    Aaaaaaah

  10. Bris says:

Help, I have read the novel from start to this point and the cliff hanger gives me regrets for reading it so quickly! 😭🤣

  11. Marce says:

Aaaaaaa se me subió la presión, donde esta killian 😳🫨 por dios este capitulo estuvo intenso, espero que edith se de cuenta de una que la lise esa no es la inocente chica que ella cree, gracias por el capitulo

  12. SeannaMichelle says:

LMAO….never so happy to come to a story at this point of its completion. Reading all the comments of people having to wait for the next chapter is kind of funny. Says the person who doesn’t have to wait….giggle. Rude…I know 😀
