I Don’t Trust My Twin Sister

CHAPTER 116

Ajstain Castle was engulfed in silence and darkness had fallen. The employees who heard the news forced smiles, but it seemed like there was concern behind them. It would be even weirder if you didn’t care because not only your own life but also the lives of your family, friends, and lovers are at stake. While Ian was away for a moment, I smiled at Yuli, who approached me with a drink to quench my thirst. I said I wouldn’t leave Yuli, but I actually wished I could get away. There are children younger than Yuli living in this castle, so it would be good to take them outside the safe territory. However, I couldn’t say anything more because all of the children refused and I was adamant that he would not leave. I had no choice but to listen to the children’s opinions. After leaving Yuli behind, the place I found was my grandfather’s office. My grandfather’s work would always last late into the night. Usually, he would sit in the office with him, learn the job, and help out, but now, everything had to fall on his grandfather, so the work wasn’t done yet. I opened the door, recalling my grandfather’s hand patting his shoulder. As soon as I entered the room, I saw my grandfather standing up and smiling.

“Good job.”

His kind smile and warm words of encouragement naturally brought a soft smile to my face.

“I’m back. Did anything happen?”

“I wonder if anything happened. A grandfather can’t just play around while her granddaughter is going out and having a hard time. She was working as usual.”

As expected, the amount of documents seemed to be double the usual amount. If I touched even half of that amount, he would make a sound and go back to his room, but it looks like he didn’t even get up from his chair today. My appetite was bitter. Even though my grandfather didn’t show it, I could sense that I had a lot of worries and thoughts. I rolled my eyes, looked at the documents, and looked at my father again.

“Don’t push yourself too hard. You have to live a long time. You’re not going to collapse as soon as I get married, are you?”

“No way.”

I shook my head at the old man who smiled and offered me a chair. He took a step back from his grandfather, who tilted his head in confusion.

“I’m going to go back and rest for a bit and then head out early in the morning. I stopped by to say hello.”

The grandfather seemed to be sad, but as he looked around, he looked worried.

“Don’t push yourself too hard. There’s a big difference between being young and being healthy. I don’t want to see my granddaughter suffering because she’s sicker than me.”

“So, I should go back and rest. You know, I’m pretty healthy.”

A laugh escaped his grandfather as he pushed out his chest and lifted his chin slightly. When I smiled secretly, the grandfather nodded his head and sat down on the chair again and picked up a pen.

“I’m going to finish organizing the documents and go to bed. Have a good night, too.”

After saying good evening, he bowed his head and left. The hallway was quieter than usual. It was so dark and strangely gloomy that it felt like a sign that something bad was about to happen.

“…It was crazy.”

Thinking negatively when even thinking positively is not enough. He patted his cheek and then shook his head. I guess it’s because I’m tired. My eyes hurt and my neck is sore from being on edge all day, watching over people… That’s right. It’s like that. I wanted to soak in hot water and a bathtub. Pressing my eyes shut, I returned to my room, immediately changed my clothes, instructed Uli, who followed me, to get some water, and then lay down on the bed. It was so cozy and comfortable that I felt like I could fall asleep at any moment. If I fell asleep like this, the day would pass without incident, and another day would pass by and the work would end. Peace was sweet and enchanting. Peace is not a meal prepared by a fairy, but an illusion created by someone’s sacrifice.

“The last…”

Where is the one remaining bomb? It would be nice if everything would be over when I close and open my eyes.

* * *

“Miss, all the water… oh my…

Yuli covered her mouth in surprise as she came out of the bathroom. Not long after she asked for some water, Lawrence was already asleep, as if she had fainted. But I wasn’t surprised by that appearance.

“…His Excellency the Grand Duke.”

Ian put one of his index fingers in front of his lips and made a low ‘shh’ sound as if to tell Uli who was calling him to be quiet. Uli quietly nodded his head. Ian grinned and then turned her gaze back to Lawrence. The clothes she wore were thin and cold, probably because she was washing them.

“The night is still cold, Lawrence.”

…As I spoke while brushing up her disheveled hair, Lawrence waved her hand in a grumpy gesture as if to tell me not to disturb her and turned around. That sight was cute, so Ian giggled and laughed lowly.

“My girl is strangely fussy whenever she falls asleep. Is this her true self? She usually gives off the air of being older than me, but is this actually an act?”

Lawrence, unable to hear his voice, kept her silence. That look was also lovely, so I smiled. Ian put his hands around her neck and under her legs and gently lifted her up. To prevent her from falling or losing her arms, he pulled her into his arms, looked at her crying, and pointed at her evil with his chin. Ollie, who was looking at the two of them blankly, moved after her and lifted the blanket off her, and Ian placed Lawrence down underneath it. When he felt her pillow and warm blanket, Ian tilted his head as he watched her flapping her arms and looking for something, as if she was satisfied.

“It looks like you’re looking for another pillow. You always sleep with it on.”

At her whisper, Ian chuckled and offered her one of his arms. The arm that was struggling grabbed his strong forearm and kneaded it, then slowly came up and grabbed his forearm tightly. Then I brushed it off as if this wasn’t true.

“I see that you like warm and soft things, so I’ll prepare a pillow for you.”

Yuli stopped in her haste to leave the room. Even though the two were planning to get married soon and have a future together, they were not in a relationship yet. But is it okay to sleep in the same room? Can I leave like this? She leaves her master sleeping, and who knows what will happen when he returns. Woolly’s eyes roll and Ian looks at her. He glanced at her and then smiled.

“I’m not doing anything.”

Yuli, startled, quickly nodded his head three or four times and left the room. It was as if my shameful suspicions and imagination had been discovered. Yuli closed the door and looked at the figure inside, quietly looking down at Lawrence, as if in amazement.

“Do you like it that much?”

It was just amazing to see Ian’s smile not disappearing from her mouth. That person is Archduke Verdian, who was famous for sodomy. After all, you can’t trust rumors. Ian, on the other hand, continued to stare at Lawrence’s face, her dissatisfied expression on her face. The space between the eyebrows narrowed, forming a frown line. He tried to straighten the eyebrows by pressing them with his fingers, but there was no sign of them straightening, as if even the fingers would be swallowed up.

“What should I do with this?”

Could it be her feelings for him that are creating this sadness? He seemed very urgent as he needed something. She wondered what to do, not knowing how long it would take Uli to bring her pillow.

“I don’t want my arms… should I give you my legs?”

Then it occurred to me that the sight of her hugging her legs wouldn’t look very aesthetically pleasing.

“You like it warm?”

Ian tried to take the temperature by pressing his palm against my cheek. However, he couldn’t clearly sense human body temperature, so he couldn’t sense it. He touches my forehead and cheek a few times. He soon gave up and took it to Lawrence. A thin, white hand, as beautiful as a jade, slowly made its way to Ian’s cheek, groped it a few times, and then yanked it away.

Yikes!

Ian almost fell to Laurentia’s body, barely holding her brother’s body, tilted her slightly and gave her her head completely. Lawrence seemed to like his head as she held him in her arms and rubbed him a few times before he stopped complaining. As she quietly held him in her arms, she felt dizzy and felt like she was going to fall asleep. But soon her faint body odor stimulated her nerves and she completely lost sleep. Feeling that the standard called impulse was moving randomly, Ian wondered whether he should release it or not. If she stays like this, the young maid will be scared… Then, she feels like if Lawrence wakes up, she won’t be able to get rid of her and will be accused of being a pervert… won’t she? Ian opened his eyes slightly and lifted his head. The sight of Lawrence’s face clearly in her eyes made her feel like she was going out of her mind. I felt like I could take her lips just by moving her body even a little… I could feel her desire fanning me wildly, thinking I could at least kiss her.

“It was crazy.”

Ian tried to pull her head away, but the more he tried, the stronger Laurentia’s grip made her whimper. He looked at her face quietly as if he had given up. It was quite different from before, where he was struggling like a bad boy and struggling to get what he wanted. Lawrence didn’t even stir her body and she was sleeping like the dead with a faint smile on her face. She sleeps like this… She never once wondered if it was someone else. She didn’t really care about the matter, and she didn’t have to wonder what other people looked like when they slept. But when it came to Lawrence, I longed for even just a glimpse of her. She wanted to know one more thing and wanted to see it in her eyes. Even her little habits and habits were endearing and she was cute. She put her hand on her waist as if admonishing herself, and the way she taught her that it was not wrong was stern, but did she know that even when she did that, a happy smile was about to come out of her mouth?

“Lawrence.”

He quietly called her name but he had no answer. A soft uplift flowed out once again.

“Lawrence.”

She hugged Ian’s head more tightly, as if in response. He closed her eyes quietly, feeling the distance between her and her closer, with her eyes, skin, and warmth.

“Loa…”

When she called the name that she always tried to say, Ian laughed as he felt a tickling feeling. Instead of saying goodnight, he kissed her lightly on the cheek and hugged her with a little pressure, and Lawrence released her arms that were tightly wrapped around him, as if she had been waiting. Ian sat down on her bed and smiled down at her. Then, as if she had dug it, Uli came in and placed her pillow next to Lawrence. Ian, who saw her turning around, hugging her pillow as if snatching her prey, got up from her seat and left her room. Inside her, Yuli came out after clearing Lawrence’s evil and was about to say hello to Ian when she tilted her head. As Ian stared blankly, wondering why, Uli pointed his finger at his head.

“You’ve got a lot of hair. Did you pull it out?”

“Ah…”

Did you get caught earlier and struggle and collapse? Ian ruffled her hair.

“No. It wasn’t like that.”

“Yes?”

“Nothing happened.”

Ian responded lightly and then turned around, leaving Yuli tilting her head. Yuli narrowed his eyes as he stared at the back of the burly man walking away.

“So you had other things going on?”
