DKOM Episode 150 – End

DKOM | Episode 150

Episode 150

“Your Majesty!”

Francis rushed to the collapsing Hildebrandt.

“Ugh…!”

Hildebrandt coughed blood and covered his mouth with a trembling hand. Yurian was shocked to see a gaping wound suddenly open in the Emperor’s chest. Ignoring the fallen man before him, he rushed straight to Yvonne to make sure she was safe.

“Yvonne!”

Her dress was still drenched in deep crimson blood.

Yurian felt as if the blood in his own body had drained away—terrified, agonized. If Yvonne died, he would too. He didn’t even remember how fast he’d moved—he simply found himself at her side.

“Yvonne, are you alright?”

“Ah…”

She was.

Yurian ran his hand over the torn fabric of her dress—where the blade had struck her.

But beneath it… not a single wound.

Just smooth, unbroken skin.

“How is this even…? Ah…”

Yvonne, too, touched the remnants of the shattered earring that had fallen from her ear.

“I should pierce you too, my daughter.”

The earrings that Hildebrandt had pierced into them both were not easily removed. Even the Holy Nation couldn’t take them out—it was said powerful magic had been embedded in them.

For this very day.

“So this is why you told him to kill me?!”

Francis cried out, weeping, cradling Hildebrandt’s blood-soaked body.

“…Yeah.”

Hildebrandt was smiling. His robes were already stained with blood, and even though the rain had once washed him clean, he was now soaked again—this time in his own.

“Why would you do something like this?”

Yvonne asked, glaring at him in disbelief.

“Because… I was never happy while loving you.”

Yvonne stepped toward Francis. She wanted to see Hildebrandt’s face.

“So I wanted you to be unhappy too. In a life without me, you’ll suffer forever.”

He laughed—like he truly meant it.

“When I die, your memories will come back. Then you’ll want to die too.”

The blood gushed more heavily from his mouth as he laughed.

“I love you, Yvonne. Now… let’s never see each other again.”

And with that… he closed his eyes.

Content. Peaceful.

Just as the rain began to pour down again—like the day Yvonne had first turned her back on him.

“Selfish bastard. You think I’m just going to let you die like this?”

Yvonne knelt beside the lifeless Hildebrandt and began channeling her power into him—pouring her mana into his body so that he couldn’t die. Not like this.

* * *

There were few people left in the capital. After Emperor Hildebrandt’s rampage, almost none of the officials remained.

And so, nobles from the frontiers had to be summoned to take root in the capital. For some, it was an opportunity; for others, a loss.

But Yvonne turned it into an opportunity. Using those loyal to her, she stabilized the Bricesys Empire.

Her ability was taming. Controlling the remaining ministers was effortless for her.

Moreover, she was both an ability user and a guide. That became possible because she had died once and returned. The original Yvonne Le Meredin had been a guide, but after death and reincarnation, Yvonne Ferrite Bricesys returned as a powerful ability user.

Thus, Yvonne became not just a guide, but also a top-tier taming ability user.

The Bricesys Empire wanted a strong ruler. So, a woman of immense spiritual power and top-tier magical strength like Yvonne Ferrite Bricesys was more than welcome. Especially when the imperial bloodline had all but vanished.

“Welcome, Your Highness the Crown Princess.”

As Crown Princess, Yvonne oversaw affairs of state in the Emperor’s stead while he remained bedridden. Given the steps Hildebrandt had taken before losing his mind—planning to grant her the position—it had happened naturally.

It seemed even documents of that sort were already prepared in his private vault.

“Move aside, Sir Francis.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

Yvonne was familiar with the Emperor’s chambers. Yet every time she entered, it still felt strange. Maybe because she had always been too afraid to look properly before, or maybe because the man who once terrified her no longer had the power to do so.

To her eyes, Hildebrandt’s room looked faded. Like an old black-and-white film, stripped of all color.

With his eyes closed, everything seemed cloaked in darkness—even his once-lustrous silver hair.

“Sir Francis.”

Yvonne called out to Francis, who had bowed and turned to leave.

“Yes, Your Highness?”

“Has there been any change?”

“No, Your Highness.”

Yvonne thought back to the day Hildebrandt collapsed and never woke again.

“When I die, your memories will come back. Then you’ll want to die too.”

But he didn’t die. She made sure he couldn’t—by giving him her magic.

As a top-tier ability user, she’d patched the broken parts of his power and purified him as a guide would, buying time until a healer could arrive.

That’s why Hildebrandt had survived.

His body had returned to a stable condition. What had changed, however, was the restraint around his neck. He could no longer wield his powers freely.

He’d also been given a mana-suppressant. Even if he were to awaken, he wouldn’t be able to use any abilities unless Yvonne allowed it.

Yvonne found the complete reversal in their relationship almost laughable.

“What did the court physician say?”

“He says His Majesty is simply asleep.”

“I see. Very well.”

With that, Francis bowed again and left.

Now alone with Hildebrandt, Yvonne felt her old hatred begin to boil.

She wanted to kill him. She hated him more than anyone, had wished for his death more than once.

But when she recalled the false kindness he had shown, the pitiful way he clung to life by her side, she realized—she didn’t want him to die easily.

“Dying would be too easy, Hilde.”

She ran her fingers across his cheek. His skin felt pale and cold.

“You’re the one who misjudged me. I want you to suffer.”

She stared at him icily.

Her memories still hadn’t returned. And so, she could not trust him.

What she wanted was for him to feel the same pain she had. If he died, it would all end. Even the twisted connection born of hatred would crumble to nothing.

And then only the living would be left to bear the weight of it all.

But Yvonne wouldn’t accept that.

It wasn’t her burden to bear—it was Hildebrandt’s. He who had hurt her, hated her, and still claimed to love her.

“Wake up. And look forward to hell.”

She brushed the white hair from his forehead… and walked out of the room.

Once she was gone, Hildebrandt’s finger twitched—just slightly.

* * *

“Did you wait long?”

“Even the waiting was a joy.”

Yvonne had returned to her palace. What was once the princess’s residence had now become the Crown Princess’s. And yet, not much had changed.

Normally, when one rose in status, their chambers would be adorned more luxuriously—but after Hildebrandt had destroyed the capital, the cost of rebuilding it with regenerative ability users was no small burden. So decorating her residence lavishly had been postponed.

Even so, many of the furnishings had been provided by Yurian. He was quietly pleased to see that she hadn’t rejected them, and had them placed exactly as he had sent.

“I always end up making you wait, Yurian.”

“You’re the one who taught me the joy of waiting, Yvonne. I should be thanking you.”

Yurian smiled brightly and pulled out a chair for her to sit.

He was fully aware of the many favors she extended to him. Guests visiting the Crown Princess were usually guided to the reception hall, not her private chambers. But he, no matter when he arrived, was always led to her room—and even allowed inside when she wasn’t there.

So he didn’t dislike the way things were now. By nature, he would’ve proposed to her again and confessed his heart once more. But right now, she seemed to have no room for that.

Managing state affairs demanded immense energy, and she appeared unsure whether she should truly become emperor.

Yurian understood. The fear of suddenly bearing such enormous responsibility.

And so, he waited for her.

“So, what brings you here today?”

Yvonne, seeing Yurian, felt her fatigue melt away. She stood, and teasingly sat on his thigh, wrapping her arms around his neck. Yurian held his breath, then embraced her waist.

Their faces were close—almost touching.

“I came to tell you I love you. Just wanted to stop by before leaving the palace.”

“What a frivolous man you are.”

“It would be nice if there were an imperial decree telling me I didn’t have to leave.”

“Shameless.”

Yvonne laughed, clearly delighted, and playfully stroked his ear with her fingers. Seeing his face flush bright red, she grinned in the same way, lips grazing his as she whispered:

“How much do you love me?”

He held back the urge to kiss her and answered with difficulty.

“More than I love myself. Enough to let you throw me away.”

And at that moment—

All of Yvonne’s memories returned.

Hildebrandt had awakened. Still unwilling to let her be at peace if she wasn’t by his side, he unleashed everything—every spell he’d placed, every knot twisted by Marquess Rohan, every piece she had tried to forget—all of it surged back into her mind. And it was possible, even with the restraints, because he had planned for this.

“Ah…”

And then, Yurian’s lips stole her breath.

End of main story: Dad Kidnapped the Obsessive Maniac

TL/N: And Finally we are done. Thanks for reading and staying with me. To the readers who purchased locked chapters ILOVE YOU!!! And so I still feel regretful on Hilde’s end, yk it’s not justified at all. I feel the two people who suffered the most were Francis and Hilde, hilde by the old emperor’s hands and Francis by Hilde’s lol fr do you not see them? I feel this novel was entirely on FL’s side. Sure she suffered but did you suffer more than a guy who lost his parents at a young age and had to live with his uncle who manupilated him his whole life, from studies to his love life… You think that the old emperor would have been nice to leave him as he is for his whole life? like fr? I don’t think s,o and about Francis like he is a literal definition of a dog, he followed each and every order of Hilde with his heart and still dont get an ending?
I’m stressed on them also to the people who say the mom’s name is wrong, look in my docs its Evony, and if I used ebony, please forgive me, I might have been high

Thank you so much for translating this novel. It’s mind-blowing how nonsensical the ending is, but not surprising given the nature of the story. Is there any side story?
