The Minecraft arc feels like the weakest so far, mostly because it feels like the author doesn’t understand what really drove the fear in those creepypastas. Hopefully the series improves from there because parts are great.
tbh yes… seems like they wanted to use Herobrine to just branch more of their story in the future… I don’t know about the hundreds of chapters onward but if it’s going to be the same like this, it would be better if the author just go for the normal creepy stories than creepypastas

For anyone wondering whether this story is good or not, I can give you few points and you decide to try it by yourself (First and foremost, try reading the manhwa. If it is your calling, then trust me… you will absolutely be struck by the 30ish chapters available currently.)
Pointers:
1. The story have great fundamental so far (I’ve read up to 90 chs currently and there is only one arc which seems to be lacking)
2. Rather than thinking of it as your typical Horror stories, try thinking of Supernatural (the TV show) and try enjoying it. I found it really enjoyable because there are lots of comedy appropriately used at the right timing (Come to think of it I should’ve just said if you enjoy Gakkou no Kaidan you’ll definitely enjoy it))
3. Sci-fi, you probably wonder why I include this, right? You definitely have seen few horrors that use technologies with them, but what does that have to do with anything? Why don’t you try finding it out yourself? You are curious? Well the hint would be Hac♠♥♣♥♣♠♥♣♥♣♠♥♣
