Would You Like to Have a Drink

The earlier kings of the Wei Country were indeed talented and strategic, which pushed the Wei Country to such a dominant position among the countries. As a result, a prodigal son came out and ruined all ancestors’ meritorious achievements accumulated by the ancestors, and became the king of a fallen country.

Under the nine springs, he didn’t know how the ancestors of the Wei Country would die of anger.

He looked around and suddenly frowned, “Where is your Crown Prince?”

Being held by the soldiers, the eunuch who was tremblingly leading the way for the Crown Prince of Great Yuan trembled and hurriedly said, “Crown Prince Ye, Crown Prince Ye was punished for his crimes a few days ago!”

Punished for his crimes?!

Zong Luo paused, “What’s going on?”

The Wei Country was not good at other things, but the intelligence work had always been possible. It may also be because they put all the spies here to watch attentively, and the combat power was not good.

During the previous war, almost no news could be transmitted from within the city. The intelligence that Ye Linghan passed on was also known through the mouth of Zong Ruichen, and the latter even deliberately spread false news.

In addition, Ye Linghan was just a nominal crown prince of the Wei Country. The military reports from the front line, tracking the seventh prince to root out, did not mention Ye Linghan at all.

As a result, Zong Luo was completely unaware of such a big event.

Theeunuch could never think that this noble Crown Prince of Great Yuan would actually care so much about Ye Linghan, who had little power and had committed the crime of treason. But this did not prevent him from expressing his loyalty in a hurry, spilling the beans and telling those things.

About a few months ago, Ye Linghan returned from the Great Yuan.

As one could imagine, the domestic resources were controlled by the seventh prince, and even King Wei hated Ye Linghan extremely under the instigation of the Wei Country’s envoy. So when he just came back, he was surrounded by wolves and couldn’t get any benefits at all.

However, Ye Linghan was not a person without any means.

When he was in Great Yuan, he could find a way out even when he was desperate. Not to mention that he was not good in the Wei Country, the Yu family also left some former subordinates. So he used these forces to successfully get a lot of intelligence from the Wei Country in a short time.

These pieces of intelligence were all given to Zong Ruichen without reservation, including the news of the Shenji Crossbow.

“However, just over a week ago, when Crown Prince Ye was stationed at the west side gate, he suddenly went mad. Regardless of anything, he opened that gate. So he was thrown into prison, and I don’t know how, the king clearly spared him for his feelings, but he committed suicide.”

The eunuch said while sweating, “Before he died, he seemed to have written something on the ground, saying something about being ashamed to death, and not daring to see something.”

Zong Luo stopped.

He subconsciously looked back, met the gaze of Yu Beizhou, and confirmed the guess in his heart.

Zong Luo had been worried about the two leaks mentioned by the Great Witch. After confirming that one of them was Zong Chengsi, he had been thinking about who the second leak that could dream back to the previous life was.

Now that he had received the news of Ye Linghan’s death, he finally realized that the second leak was this Proton of the Wei Country.

Perhaps it was the dream of seeing himself as the murderer who killed Zong Luo in his previous life that he couldn’t bear this blow and could only express his aspirations through death.

For a moment, Zong Luo didn’t quite know what to say.

In fact, he really didn’t blame Ye Linghan. After all, the Ye Linghan of this life and the Ye Linghan of the previous life were really too different. As Yu Beizhou said, under the influence of fate, the Ye Linghan of the previous life was more like a puppet whose destiny had been arranged long ago. From a rational point of view, they were indeed not the same person.

As for why he didn’t forgive Yu Beizhou before..

He thought he was secretly looking at the young man in red, but he was caught by the latter with a smile.

Perhaps it was because of the existence of this affection that it became unforgivable.

The harm from friends and relatives was always more difficult to forgive than the harm from strangers.

Unconsciously, Zong Luo had confided too many emotions to Yu Beizhou.

The initial annoyance, hatred, and love were all proof of their mutual debts.

The following process went very smoothly.

With a powerful enemy at present, the old and confused king just wanted to save his own life. He was struggling to survive, kneeling and begging for mercy, even those clear officials who simply committed suicide were not as good as him.

The letter of surrender and the jade seal were easily handed over, which completely represented the fall of the Wei Country and Great Yuan’s complete unification of the world.

How joyful Zong Luo’s heart was, needless to say.

Not only was this battle beautifully fought and successfully won, with a considerable number of casualties, but even the entanglements between him and Yu Beizhou that were unclear and unbroken were also resolved.

Who could have thought that when he came, the mood Zong Luo was holding was sadness, anger, and even wanting to really hurt himself as he said to Emperor Yuan, to have a thorough break.

However, this good mood did not last long.

An urgent report from the Imperial City made him feel like falling into an ice cellar at the bonfire celebration banquet that night.

The white pigeon that had traveled a long distance was full of blood, and in the end, it was brought over by the ugly goshawk that had been fully recovered.

Unfolding the note, the handwriting of Imperial Censor Xue was on it, and a private seal was stamped below.

[His Majesty suddenly fell ill, the Sixth Prince rebelled, return quickly.]

These last few chapters have been extremely difficult to get through (for multiple reasons) but Ye Linghan dying off screen after everything is absolutely unacceptable! Wtf author, if he HAD to die– which he didn’t imo– at least give him a proper send-off and a last meeting with ZL.
