When the Fair Rich Beauty Becomes the Poor Girl

Chapter 8: Jiang Bao and Lin Can (Part 1)

Jiang Bao stood up, patting the dust off of herself, and sat on the chair.

Force acted in opposite directions. If her rear was aching, the other person’s foot was also hurting badly enough.

Why must they hurt each other like this?

“You just stretched out your foot and tripped me, which is a hazardous behavior.” Jiang Bao said.

“You may not sit here.” Xie Liao Yuan stared at the bodyguards in the back row who were evicting people, and added, “What nerve do you have to actually sneak inside here?”

He raised his hand and signaled security to take the trespasser away.

Jiang Bao was very surprised. This Xie Liao Yuan was far from the one she knew. He was no gentleman at all! It was so hard for her to sneak in here. Of course, she couldn’t be taken away now.

She was really fed up with crowded buses and being crammed in a room with six people, and being subjected to resistance at every turn.

Jiang Bao didn’t think much about it as she quickly pushed his hand down. Seeing as he was about to open his mouth, she covered the person’s mouth with her free hand.

Xie Liao Yuan widened his eyes. Since their first meeting, he suspected this girl had approached him with a purpose in mind.

She even dared to pretend to be Jiang Bao’s friend. And now, she was even attaching herself to him like this? How shameless!

Xie Liao Yuan got up to push her away, but the two people were stuck close to each other. The moment they looked at each other, there was an inexplicable feeling of familiarity.

He was in a stupor and forgot to react for a while.

After security had withdrawn and there was no movement in the back, Jiang Bao then let go, a slight itch on her palm from his breath.

“I have a reason for doing this. Please, just pretend you didn’t see me. I would also like to state that it’s not my intention to come here without a ticket, and I can pay you back for one!”

After she spoke, Jiang Bao opened the canvas bag she brought along. If she could talk to her fifth brother, all this money wouldn’t be needed.

“The most expensive tickets cost seven hundred and fifty apiece. I have five thousand. You can take it as compensation.”

Xie Liao Yuan: “What the hell are you plotting this time? Take your money and get out of here right this instant. This is not your seat.”

It was unthinkable for Jiang Bao to leave now. She stuffed the money into his pocket, and the flat suit immediately bulged up.

“I know it’s too little an amount for you, but I only have this much for now. Please, just take my compensation and enjoy the recital. Since your friend did not come and a 666% return rate is not low, don’t go overboard.”

Xie Liao Yuan felt like he had seen a ghost. The tone of this crazy woman beside him was awfully similar to Jiang Bao.

He still wanted to speak when the audience behind him reminded him: “Young couples shouldn’t talk and argue. Please act modestly.”

“Sorry sir[1], we won’t make another noise. If he speaks again, I will immediately cover his mouth.” Jiang Bao was quick to apologize and promised the person.

Xie Liao Yuan’s face completely darkened, but he didn’t speak again. Amid the soothing sounds of the piano, the two had temporarily reached a subtle agreement.

During the last song, Jiang Bao was prepared to go around and see if she could sneak backstage.

She thought there might be a chance that this concert hall was small enough for the security here to let down their guard. After all, they had just rushed in here just now.

Jiang Bao stood up and was ready to go, but was pulled back into her seat by the person beside her as her hand was held captive.

The other party was so strong that she couldn’t break free.

She could only watch her fifth brother finish his last song five minutes later and disappear from the stage.

Xie Liao Yuan: “You are definitely plotting something, aren’t you? Don’t tell me you’re even an avid fan of Jiang Wei Yan?”

If it was so, her knowing Jiang Bao would make sense.

“I don’t understand what you’re saying. Let go of my hand.”

Xie Liao Yuan sneered, “What a mouth full of lies. If attending the recital was out of interest, then it was fine, but you were obviously distracted the whole time. Where did you want to go just now?”

Jiang Bao: “……”

The audience began to exit the hall. No matter how Jiang Bao resisted, her wrist was yanked tightly by Xie Liao Yuan.

“Let go of me. I’m Jiang Bao’s… best friend, it’s true! You’re hurting me!”

Only after they reached the outside of the concert hall did Xie Liao Yuan let go of her hand. He said condescendingly, “It is you who should act in moderation. This is not the place for you to be. You should go to the Seventh Hospital instead.”

The Seventh Hospital was a famous local psychiatric hospital.

Jiang Bao’s wrist was red. This guy didn’t hesitate to conserve his strength at all. She looked back at the two security guards at the door. It was impossible to go in by herself now.

Jiang Bao ruthlessly recorded this grudge in her little notebook. You’re dead, you rascal!

She couldn’t see her fifth brother now. What to do next…

Jiang Bao glared at the person in front of her. Oh, right, the original her had this guy’s number!

In order to get some peace and quiet for herself, she had set up her phone to be on anti-harassment mode. Only pre-saved numbers could call in. Maybe she could let Xie Liao Yuan help her with this.

She just needed one phone call!

Jiang Bao softened her tone and patiently said, “You’ve been mistaken. I’m really her friend.”

Xie Liao Yuan: “That’s not possible.”

Jiang Bao was undeterred. “What makes you so sure?!”

“Heh, because she has no friends, little liar.”

Jiang Bao: “…”

Well, she couldn’t argue with that.
