Unstoppable Affection

What a huge misunderstanding…

Xu Jingyu squinted slightly, glanced at Ying Huan, then looked at the wailing young man. Other than having fair skin, he couldn’t see any resemblance between the two. Initially, it was Zhou Baihao who said they were a couple. That night, Ying Huan was wearing school pants, showing off her waist and legs, looking wild. When she was with Ying Chi, they indeed looked like a rebellious couple.

Xu Jingyu didn’t pay much attention to it at first. After encountering them a few times, he assumed they were in a romantic relationship. He didn’t even know Ying Huan’s name and never thought to ask.

Ying Huan looked at Xu Jingyu. She never expected him to be so harsh, directly hitting Ying Chi’s sore spots.

Their eyes met.

Ying Huan felt that the misunderstanding was clear now. She glanced at the infuriated Ying Chi and then back at Xu Jingyu, saying, “Don’t insult him.”

Xu Jingyu: “…”

He raised an eyebrow, looking at her meaningfully. Burning bridges, huh?

Ying Huan blushed a bit. She felt like they were acting, playing a double act with one red face and one white face.

Xu Jingyu was indeed ruthless. Just one word, “weakling,” and Ying Chi exploded. Ying Chi stood up mockingly, pointing at Xu Jingyu, his face flushed and neck thick as he shouted, “Zhou Baihao, just wait! One day, I’ll knock you out.”

Xu Jingyu couldn’t be bothered to correct the name issue. He simply replied, “Welcome.”

Ying Huan reminded Ying Chi, “His name isn’t Zhou Baihao…”

Wu Qi saw things were getting out of hand and quickly stepped in to mediate. Pointing at Xu Jingyu, he cleared his throat and said, “He’s Xu Jingyu. Last time at the underground boxing arena, I asked him to go up and test you, to see how strong you are.”

Ying Chi was once again bewildered, staring blankly at Wu Qi.

The young man had an expression of “So, it was a setup” on his face. He looked pure and pitiful, making Wu Qi feel a bit sorry for him. He coughed softly and said, “Xu Jingyu, too, let him have a try, but who knew he’d go for three rounds.”

Xu Jingyu: “…”

He glanced at Wu Qi.

Wu Qi looked back at him calmly. He would be Ying Chi’s coach in the future. He couldn’t let the kid have any mental blocks.

Xu Jingyu pursed his lips tightly. Alright, he’ll take the blame for this.

At the entrance, the receptionist suddenly stood up and bowed towards the man in the black suit who had just entered. “Director Zhou.”

Xu Jingyu glanced in that direction.

Ying Chi was still in a state of confusion. He looked at Ying Huan, who nodded and said, “Yes, his name is Xu Jingyu. So, when you searched ‘Zhou Baihao’ online, you didn’t find anything.”

Xu Jingyu…

Jing Wang.

Ying Chi used to pay more attention to overseas professional matches, thinking they were cooler. Either it was the Olympics or the World Championships. The WSB was established by the International Boxing Association two years ago, and there have only been two editions so far. He hadn’t paid much attention, so he didn’t know Xu Jingyu was the reigning champion of the Asian region last year.

A true boxing king.

Ying Chi silently closed the Baidu Baike page, his face flushing. He felt incredibly foolish.

Ying Huan coaxed him gently, “It’s not your fault. Xu Jingyu used a pseudonym. Otherwise, this misunderstanding wouldn’t have escalated so much…”

She genuinely felt this way. If Xu Jingyu had used his real name and deliberately played with people’s emotions during the match, Ying Chi wouldn’t have felt so aggrieved. But now that it had blown up like this, he couldn’t accept it emotionally.

Xu Jingyu glanced at her again.

Was it ultimately all his fault?

Ying Huan met his gaze. His eyes were slightly hooded, spreading out slightly from the outer corners and slightly upward, giving him a somewhat fierce appearance. She suddenly felt a bit guilty. It was one thing to let him provoke Ying Chi, but making him take the blame…

Ying Chi gritted his teeth and angrily looked at Xu Jingyu. “Who is Zhou Baihao? Did you come up with this wild chicken pseudonym? How could you be so bad, deceiving people with a fake name!”

Zhou Baihao had just come around from the entrance and heard this. He froze in place.

Wild chicken???

Xu Jingyu propped up his legs and saw Zhou Baihao’s suddenly darkened face. He couldn’t help but laugh, a low chuckle that even shook his shoulders. Facing Ying Chi and Wu Qi, he raised his chin towards Zhou Baihao. “Zhou Baihao isn’t some wild chicken pseudonym. Look, he’s right behind you.”

Ying Huan stood still, turning around dazedly.

Behind her, a few steps away, stood a handsome man in a suit with a completely darkened expression on his face.

She thought: It’s over. Ying Chi, this fool, can forget about special admission, and forget about joining the team…

Wu Qi: “…Director Zhou.”

Shi Lei and the others: “…Director Zhou.”

Only Xu Jingyu still had the mood to laugh.

Who made him and Zhou Baihao grow up wearing the same pants?

When Ying Chi, the immature young man, realized what had happened, he felt like everything went black. He should have checked the almanac before leaving the house today. Ying Huan slowly turned back, her face pale, meeting Xu Jingyu’s gaze, her eyes full of resentment…

It’s all your fault!

Making you use a pseudonym!

Letting you call Ying Chi a weakling!

Letting you…

Xu Jingyu smiled at her, feeling like he had gone too far, and gestured to her with his finger.

Ying Huan looked at him and he gestured again.

A man’s hands, trained and boxed for years, naturally had some calluses, but his fingers were slender, his palms broad, still a pair of attractive hands. Ying Huan stared at his hand, hesitated for a moment, then pursed her lips and took three steps towards the opposite sofa.

Xu Jingyu whispered, “Alright, you scared him enough. Zhou Baihao isn’t that petty.”

Ying Huan whispered back, “Really?”

Xu Jingyu nodded. “Mm.”

Ying Huan asked softly, “Can you help us take the blame again?”

Xu Jingyu: “Huh?”

“…I owe you another meal!”

Xu Jingyu: “…”

Did he really look like he was missing a couple of meals?

After Ying Huan finished speaking, she turned around and walked back, pulling Ying Chi with her to stand in front of Zhou Baihao. She bowed first, then apologized, “I’m sorry, Director Zhou. My brother thought the person he fought with that night was named Zhou Baihao, thinking it was a pseudonym… If it weren’t for Xu Jingyu using a fake name, this misunderstanding wouldn’t have happened. I hope you don’t mind.”

Xu Jingyu: “…”

He pressed his tongue against his cheek, chuckling softly.

Alright, it was all his fault.

Zhou Baihao looked at her, feeling somewhat familiar. After a few seconds, he realized, “Are you two siblings?”

Ying Huan nodded awkwardly. “Yes.”

Ying Chi: “…”

Was everyone blind?! This is my sister!

“I’m sorry, Director Zhou.”

The young man apologized reluctantly. No matter what, he knew he had to apologize now.

Xu Jingyu walked over, glanced at the now disheartened Ying Chi, and cleared his throat. “Ying Chi, come with me. Let’s continue discussing the contract.”

Ying Chi glanced at Zhou Baihao. He had insulted the boss as a wild chicken, could he still sign a contract? Could he still get special admission?

Ying Huan also looked at Zhou Baihao.

Now, several people noticed that Ying Huan and Ying Chi actually looked somewhat alike. Their eyes were similar, clear and bright, black and white.

Xu Jingyu was right. Zhou Baihao wasn’t a petty person. He was only twenty-three years old, not much older than this group of people. He hadn’t reached the age where he had to act like a boss. He waved his hand. “Forget it, I’m not angry. It’s also Xu Jingyu’s fault.”

Xu Jingyu turned his head away, chuckling directly.

Wu Qi beckoned Ying Chi to discuss the details on the other side. Ying Huan, feeling uneasy, also wanted to follow.

Just as they took a few steps…

“Wait.”

Xu Jingyu’s hand was tucked in his pocket as he stopped them.

Ying Huan turned back, meeting his eyes. Then she turned to Ying Chi and said, “You go ahead.”

Ying Chi pursed his lips, looking at Xu Jingyu, and frowned. “You’re not allowed to bully my sister.”

Xu Jingyu remained expressionless. “Oh, and if I do bully her, can you beat me up?”

Seeing Ying Chi about to explode again, Ying Huan hurriedly pushed him away. “Go on, he won’t bully me. It’s just a joke.”

After Ying Chi left…

Ying Huan walked up to Xu Jingyu and sincerely said, “Thank you.”

Xu Jingyu looked at her and nodded in acceptance.

Ying Huan kept Ying Chi in mind and wanted to get to him quickly. She asked, “Is there anything else?”

“What’s your name?” he asked.

“Huh?” Ying Huan said, “Ying Huan.”
