There are no Bad Transcendents in the World

“I’ll deal with you the moment I get out of here.”

Tahar shouted, clenched tightly to the bars as if to crush them.

Even in the crazy world, they couldn’t keep him, the crown prince of a nation, in there for long.

“Lydia needed his father even during her rampage. understand?”

Wasn’t Lydia, the transcendent, unconsciously looking for him?

Tahar, who had to prove his usefulness somehow, brought up all the memories he could use.

It was Tahar’s daily routine to remind paladins of his authority.

But when no one listened to him, he slowly started to go mad.

‘Divine power. It’s just that I don’t have that power, so I’m going to have this kind of humiliation…’

The only power Frey has.

That was divine power.

“Only because of that power!”

It was said that divine power was a gift from God to the descendants of the royal family.

‘Is it my fault that I was not chosen by God?’

‘Or rather, was it the god’s fault that he gave divine power to something so stupid and lowly, leading the Obelir Empire to ruin?’

It was time for him to write evil thinking that way.

“Tahar. There is a visitor.”

One paladin told him and withdrew.

Tahar, who thought the visitor would be Garnet or the Empress, felt surprised by a figure that soon appeared.

“Frey….”

“It’s been a while, Tahar.”

The person he considered the most insignificant in the world is now treating him disrespectfully.

Tahar could not stand the humiliation and was about to turn around.

“You’re so lucky to have a single divine power.”

Frey looked into Tahar’s bloodshot eyes.

‘In the past, I used to tremble with fear just by looking at these eyes.’

‘Now I felt sorry for Tahar, who was trying to defend his legitimacy somehow.’

“Tahar. What if I didn’t get the divine power by luck?”

“Hah….”

Tahar laughed in disbelief for a moment.

If he had been able to obtain divine power in a way other than luck, he would have done so long ago.

Because the only thing he lacked was divine power.

Tahar grabbed the bars and cursed.

“Frey. You may believe that you gained divine power because you were superior to me—”

“no.”

Frey cut him off flatly.

She then held out the transcript interpreted by Vikram and Sergey.

“These are the writings of the Empress, whom you trust. I recently discovered it while investigating the Empress Palace and the residence of the Duke of Gelon by mobilizing wizards.”

“……”

Tahar had no intention of reading the records Frey held out to him. But the text in front of him was clear….

‘It’s a secret message from the Duke of Gelon.’

If you are not a direct descendant of Gelon, it would be impossible to use the secret text so gracefully.

‘As expected, he recognizes it.’

Frey confirmed after Tahar’s eyes were agitated before speaking.

“My people interpreted it, but if it was written in secret texts of Gelon, you would interpret it better”

“……”

Tahar’s eyes began to move left and right, following the letters.

[Oral intake of Fog of Fall : 3 times a day]

The record was like a prescription for a doctor to write down how to take medicine for a patient.

The problem was the date.

‘This was written the year I was born? no way—’

Tahar took the records Frey was holding and read them through.

[According to Gelon’s latest research, the fog of Fall has the effect of pushing away the divine power.]

He tried to interpret the contents in a different way, but it was too clear to even do it.

Suddenly, Tahar remembered a conversation between his mother and the Duke of Gelon when he was young.

[“For Gelon’s magical power and Gelon’s scroll to rule the world, the power of divine power must eventually disappear someday.”]

“Nonsense. My Mother deliberately…?”

looking straight at Tahar’s face, which slowly hardened, Frey says.

“You know best if it makes sense or not.”

The light slowly faded from Tahar’s eyes.

“The logic you sacrificed Lydia for.”

“……”

“Do you think you would have been free from that logic?”

He knew Gelon’s logic better than anyone else.

Frey added, taking the records away from him.

“At the time the empress wrote this record, the hypothesis was probably that if the fog of Fall was used to prevent a child of the imperial family from being born with divine power, then the divine power would disappear in that generation.”

“…….”

“But, as you know, that hypothesis is wrong.”

As Frey spoke, Tahar’s grip on the bars gradually lost strength.

At the same time, his eyes, which were about to break out of prison and plead not guilty, were blurred.

‘Could it be that Frey gained divine power because my mother played tricks on me?’

“Think carefully, Tahar.”

Frey walked out from the basement of the Great Temple without looking back.

Around ten days after that.

Wiz delivered a draft of the article to Frey, saying that there was a scoop that would decorate the front page of the <Obelir Post> tomorrow.

“Master. It looks like Prince Tahar has completely lost his fighting spirit.”

The reporter, who had been waiting for news from the great temple, seemed to have heard the news they had been waiting for.

“Tahar, who continued to draw the line that he had nothing to do with the Fog of Fall, finally admitted the truth…”

Frey inadvertently read along.

It also contained information that the empress would soon be detained in the basement of the Great Temple, as even the heads of the aristocratic families who had supported her until the end had turned around.

‘I wonder if my master will cry because she’s relieved.’

Before coming here, Wiz calculated what Frey’s state of mind would be like.

Considering the humiliation her mother and she had suffered in the past, it was quite possible to hold a party to commemorate the empress’s detention.

But Frey just smiled and put the paper down.

“It is all over now.”

The voice that said that was calm.

She was not in a state of excitement saying that she had finished her revenge, and she did not tremble with great emotion.

Wiz couldn’t hide his wonder when the response was clearly different from what he had calculated and expected.

“Master, are you okay?”

Instead of answering, Frey smiled and approached the window.

Before the ceremony, Wizz could see some simple luggage being loaded into a carriage to stay in the north for a while.

“The Empress will now pay for her crimes.”

Unlike before, there was no one to protect them, so it was impossible to escape.

Frey lightly stretched.

“That’s enough, I’m not going to bother with this anymore.”

Watching the relaxed smile, Wiz realized.

That his master had grown surprisingly without his knowledge.

‘My master who was willing to sacrifice everything for revenge when he summoned me…’

Some humans surprise the spirits from time to time.

Wiz knew that fact as knowledge, but actually experiencing it felt different.

Frey headed down the hallway when Emma told her to come down as soon as she was ready.

Wiz thought as he followed Frey a few steps back.

‘I think I’ve chosen the master very well.’

Meanwhile, Frey, who was a few steps ahead, asked Lina in a low voice.

“Lina. Are the preparations going well?”

“Of course! I don’t think the Grand Duke has noticed it yet.”

“I had a hard time blocking the report. It wouldn’t be easy to keep it a secret from Daniel while holding a festival at Prause.”

The reason why Frey doesn’t care about the affairs of the Empress and Tahar is partly because they no longer have a great influence on her life.

‘I don’t want Daniel to notice my surprise gift.’

It was also because she was preparing something for His husband.

“I gave him a brooch, but I was given a huge mansion so I have to make it up to him…”

Frey fretted.

Lina, who is rarely sure of something, showed confidence this time around.

“Don’t worry, Her Highness the Grand Duchess. His Highness seems to be busy with other things.”

Lina glanced at the Baron butler in the distance.

Receiving that gaze, Baron butler pretended to clear his throat and covered his mouth.

“Hey, Luke. I see Lady Lina looking at me. You don’t think we have been caught, right?”

Then Luke, who was guarding the side, shrugged.

“Ah, yes. The Grand Duke’s secret gift for the Grand Duchess is well prepared, so don’t worry.”

both are preparing smthg for each other i feel the story will end in few more chapters but I hope we have side stories Frey spent all her time on revenge and now finally she is free she can breathe and no one can threaten her anymore so I hope now we have lots of romance for few chapters

I kinda find it funny that the emperor was like forgotten now that the novel is nearing its end. He wasn’t even mentioned nor shown during the ordeal. He was present during the first half of the novel but when Frey is now OP, author decided to kill his presence to the point that he became an after thought to Frey.
