After a brief wait, the shopkeeper returned.
Seeing his return, Huang Quan once again sported a smile, inquiring, “How did it go?”
The shopkeeper, finding it challenging to articulate the recent communication with his young master, simply stated, “Take it all.”
“Great, it’s all here,” Huang Quan responded with a smile. “Shopkeeper, please verify it first.”
The shopkeeper nodded and carefully inspected the elixir.
Observing the shopkeeper’s scrutiny, Huang Quan rejoined Ye Qin and exclaimed, “I can sell these for 500 million and make a fortune.” Witnessing her radiant joy, Ye Qin couldn’t help but smile. “I’ll help you sell it. After earning so much money, can you treat me to a meal?”
“Absolutely!” Huang Quan affirmed, looking at him warmly. “Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to sell it for so much. I must treat you to a meal.”
“In that case, I won’t be polite. Yes,” Ye Qin agreed. “Let’s go to the most expensive restaurant.”
“And you must order the most expensive dishes,” Huang Quan insisted with a grin. “After dinner, we can buy some medicinal materials. Once the elixir is refined, and the Gold Swallowing Beast wakes up, I’ll have money to feed it.”
“Alright,” Ye Qin responded with a smile.
After a brief wait, the elixir inspection was completed.
The shopkeeper turned to Huang Quan, inquiring, “Master Ye, shall we provide the money in cash or transfer it directly to your card?”
“Directly to the card,” Ye Qin decided.
“Alright.” The shopkeeper led Huang Quan to complete the money transfer. Once the funds were securely in the card, Huang Quan returned to Ye Qin and said, “I’ve received the money. Let’s go.”
“Yes,” Ye Qin affirmed, leading her away from the alchemy shop.
Exiting the alchemy building, Ye Qin turned to Huang Quan and asked, “Where would you like to go next?”
“Let’s go to a store that sells medicinal materials,” Huang Quan replied. “I need to buy some.”
“Alright,” Ye Qin agreed, leading Huang Quan back to the carriage.
The carriage departed from the Alchemy House, heading towards the largest medicinal shop in the imperial capital. After a quarter of an hour, it stopped outside the shop.
As Huang Quan prepared to enter, a person suddenly flew out of the medicine shop.
“Be careful!” The carriage driver shouted, but before he could react, the man had reached Huang Quan.
Spectators expected a collision, but Huang Quan gracefully sidestepped, causing the man to collide with the carriage and crash to the ground.
Ye Qin emerged from the carriage, casting an indifferent gaze at the scene.
Reacting to Ye Qin’s expression, the man swiftly rose and approached the medicine shop.
As the man observed the shop, another figure emerged from within.
The man raised his eyebrows and turned to Ye Qin. “Master, he belongs to the second prince.”
“The second prince?” Huang Quan raised an eyebrow. “The second prince of the empire?”
The man affirmed, “Yes.”
“A narrow road for enemies indeed,” Huang Quan remarked with a half-smile, alluding to the known conflict between her and the second prince.
Although the man was aware of the tension, he refrained from commenting further.
“Go and capture this person,” a voice from inside the medicine shop commanded.
The man directed himself toward Huang Quan and her companions.
Just as he approached the fallen man, the carriage driver intervened, blocking his path.
“You tossed someone out, nearly hitting my young lady, and you don’t even offer an apology?” the carriage driver coldly retorted.
“Apologize?” The man sneered. “Do you know who I am?”
