The Whole World Knows That the Crown Prince Loves Her

Ye Qin was taken aback. Nangong Mian hadn’t known about Quanquan’s spiritual power when he left, but now he was aware of it. Something must have happened during the ten days he was away.

“Third brother, don’t worry,” Ye Qin reassured him, looking directly at Nangong Mian. “I won’t reveal Quanquan’s abilities to anyone.”

Before Nangong Mian could respond, Ye Qin added, “If I do, may the heavens strike me with lightning.”

Nangong Mian raised an eyebrow, surprised by her firm statement. Being struck by lightning was a dire consequence.

“I believe you,” Nangong Mian replied, his tone sincere. “Quanquan is still asleep, so please don’t disturb her.”

“Of course,” Ye Qin agreed.

Nangong Mian left the courtyard without going back inside this time.

After he left, Ye Qin closed the courtyard door and made his way to the kitchen. Quanquan was still sleeping, and he didn’t want to disturb her. Instead, he decided to prepare some breakfast for her.

After waking up naturally, Huang Quan left her room and headed for the kitchen to make something to eat. When she reached the front yard, she was stunned.

There was a warm meal set out on the stone table in the courtyard, along with a bowl of freshly cooked porridge.

Seeing these items, Huang Quan was surprised. Hadn’t her third brother left already? According to their usual schedule, he should have departed by now.

“You’re up,” Ye Qin said, walking over from the kitchen.

Huang Quan, still puzzled, couldn’t help but smile and said, “I see you’re back.”

Ye Qin stopped in front of her, looked into her eyes, and replied softly, “Yes, I’m back.”

Huang Quan inquired, “Have you completed what you needed to do this time?”

“It’s already taken care of,” Ye Qin replied.

Huang Quan gazed at him and asked, “Will you be leaving again?”

Ye Qin looked at her and smiled. “Do you want me to leave?”

Huang Quan blurted out, “Of course not!” She hadn’t even thought twice before answering.

Ye Qin was momentarily surprised by her quick response but then smiled and asked, “Why not? Is it because you don’t want to be separated from me? During these days apart, I’ve missed you every day, wondering if you’ve eaten well and if you’ve encountered any annoying people while you’re out. When we’re together, we can see each other anytime, so I never knew I’d miss you so much when we’re apart.”

Huang Quan didn’t need to think about it. It was a simple answer—she couldn’t collect deathly aura without Ye Qin, and she missed him. It was the first time she’d experienced such feelings. Missing him was torturous, yet it brought her happiness.

“Why not? There’s no need to ask,” she replied.

“Because when you’re not here, I can’t enjoy delicious food,” she added with a cheeky grin. “I can’t see your beautiful face either.”

Ye Qin raised an eyebrow and asked, “Just because of that?”

Huang Quan nodded and continued, “If I can’t enjoy delicious food, I keep thinking about when you’ll come back so I can eat it again. Naturally, I don’t want you to leave.”

Ye Qin gazed at her with a half-smile, not quite believing her simple response. “That’s it?”

Huang Quan hesitated for a moment, then looked away with a guilty conscience. Of course, that wasn’t the only reason.

Ye Qin understood her well, reaching out to embrace her, and said gently, “I miss you too, Quanquan. I miss you every day.”
