Qin Yang hadn’t expected that Huang Quan would come to him to resolve the matter. After a moment of hesitation, he spoke in a cold, resolute tone, “You killed my sister first, then harmed my Qin family, and took my father’s life, Huang Quan. The only way to resolve this matter is for you to pay with your life!”
Hearing Qin Yang’s words, Huang Quan couldn’t help but smile. “I knew your Qin family lacked integrity, but I didn’t anticipate you’d be so shameless.”
Annoyed, Qin Yang demanded, “What do you mean?”
“I mean it quite literally,” Huang Quan replied. “Don’t you understand?”
With those words, Huang Quan rose from her seat. The other members of the Qin family in the hall became apprehensive, fearing that she might suddenly attack. And their fears were not unfounded.
Huang Quan moved with lightning speed, leaving only an afterimage behind. In an instant, Qin Yang was sent crashing into the wall, lifted off the ground by his throat.
“Huang Quan, stop!” cried the other members of the Qin family when they saw Qin Yang in her grasp. “Weren’t you here to resolve the matter?”
Huang Quan looked at the speaker, sighed, and said with a sense of helplessness, “I did come here to resolve the matter, but I’ve found it impossible with all of you.” She turned her gaze back to Qin Yang. “You think you can end it by taking my life with a single breath, Qin Yang. Have you investigated the cause of these events?”
“If your sister hadn’t provoked me, would I have killed her?”
“As for your father, after your sister’s death, he was just like you. He didn’t seek the truth; he only knew his daughter was gone and sought revenge. Do you think I should have killed him?”
The Qin family knew the truth behind the events, but before they understood Huang Quan’s formidable abilities, they believed that Huang Quan, a supposed weakling, had dared to harm the legitimate daughter of the Qin family and had overestimated himself. Most members of the Qin family thought Huang Quan deserved death, but they couldn’t act on it because Huang Quan was far more powerful than they were. They wanted to eliminate Huang Quan, but instead, they found themselves threatened by hER, feeling helpless and unjust.
“When one of your family members came to the academy to see me, I told him that if the Qin family ceased causing trouble, the grudge between your sister and me would end, unrelated to the rest of the Qin family,” Huang Quan spoke casually. “I don’t know if he conveyed my message to you, but I gave you a chance. You chose a different path.”
“If you seek revenge, you’d have to target the entire Qin family, wouldn’t you?” Huang Quan arched an eyebrow and smiled. “Very well, I don’t mind. I’ve said it before, if everyone from the Qin family comes for me, I don’t mind making the Qin family vanish.”
“Huang Quan, don’t get too cocky!” Qin Yang interjected, then turned his attention to the two men standing in the hall. “Gentlemen, take action.”
The two men nodded, addressing Huang Quan. “You’re somewhat skilled to have caught people in front of us, but it’s a shame… you lack spiritual power, and your cultivation isn’t enough.”
With that said, the two men simultaneously drew their weapons and advanced on Huang Quan.
Huang Quan remained unperturbed, even as the two men closed in on her. She gazed at Qin Yang and inquired with a smile, “Must you kill me?” Qin Yang said nothing, his eyes fixed on Huang Quan, burning with undiluted hatred.
“Understood,” Huang Quan replied with a smile. Without allowing Qin Yang any chance to struggle or seek aid, she tightened her grip on his throat, producing a distinct, chilling sound. Moments later, Huang Quan released her hold.
As soon as Huang Quan released her grasp, Qin Yang collapsed to the ground with a resounding thud.
