The Whole World Knows That the Crown Prince Loves Her

Royal conflicts often arise because concubines wish for their children to become the next emperor, and because princes naturally engage in power struggles. This is extremely common in royal families. Most of the time, emperors turn a blind eye, as long as things don’t get too out of hand, they generally won’t intervene. It’s rare for an emperor to make such a clear public declaration like the Emperor of Tianqi did.

However, by doing so, it does prevent some people from harboring ambitions. This also shows that the Emperor of Tianqi cares deeply for Di Qin. As long as the emperor is alive, the royal family members likely wouldn’t dare to make any moves against Di Qin.

Of course, even if they wanted to, Di Qin wouldn’t be afraid.

The group chatted as they returned to their courtyard.

After returning, they all sat down together for dinner, then went to their respective rooms to rest.

After Huang Quan returned to her room, she didn’t immediately go to sleep. Instead, she used a communication stone to contact Di Qin.

After they returned, Yong Ye had gone to pick up Di Qin. They should be on their way by now, right?

However… the communication stone kept flashing, alternating between bright and dim, but the other side didn’t answer.

Huang Quan looked at the blinking communication stone, her brows furrowing slightly.

The communication stone can be carried at all times, and there’s no need to remove it, even when bathing. Under normal circumstances, Qin wouldn’t ignore her call…

Could something have happened?

Huang Quan was a bit worried, but since she couldn’t reach Di Qin, there was no point in worrying.

When the communication stone remained unanswered, Huang Quan waited for a while before cutting off her spiritual power.

Qin had dead energy in his body, and considering his high cultivation level and his presence in Fo Du, he should be fine…

Moreover, judging by the time, Qin’s dead energy should be acting up within the next couple of days, so perhaps he’s suppressing it and can’t answer the communication stone.

She decided to leave it for tonight and try contacting him again tomorrow. If she still couldn’t reach him, she would find someone to inquire.

With this in mind, Huang Quan took out the medicinal herbs she had bought earlier from her storage space, selected a few, and began preparing to refine them.

“Fo Xin!”

The man pinned to the ground by disciples of Fo Du glared at the approaching monk in white robes, his eyes reddened with hatred. He struggled desperately, but was firmly held down by the two disciples.

Fo Xin stopped in front of the man, his dark eyes cold as he stared down at him. “The Demon Race is forbidden from stepping foot on this continent. This is the agreement between the Demon Race and Fo Du. Have the Demons forgotten?”

“Spit!”

The man sneered, “What does that wretched woman who signed the treaty have to do with me?”

“If the Demon Lord were here, would he let humans trample over the Demon Race like this!”

“The hundred-year treaty isn’t up yet,” Fo Xin replied coldly. “Those who violate the treaty will die.”

“Die for violating the treaty?” The man laughed loudly. “Fo Xin, then why don’t you kill Feng Jiuyuan?”

“He’s a half-demon, isn’t he? He should die too,” the man continued. “Why is your Fo Du protecting him?”

As he spoke, a faint light flickered on Fo Xin’s wrist.

Fo Xin lowered his gaze, and upon seeing the name “Huang Quan” appear on the communication stone, his cold expression softened slightly.

“Watch him,” Fo Xin ordered coldly, turning to leave.

Seeing Fo Xin about to walk away, the man laughed arrogantly, “Fo Xin, the secret you monks at Fo Du have been trying to hide can’t stay hidden forever.”

“Shut up!” one of the disciples kicked him, scolding, “How dare a demon speak ill of Fo Du!”

“Hahaha!” The man laughed even harder. “Do you really think Fo Du is some holy place? Isn’t it true that even demons have been hidden within Fo Du?”

Fo Xin paused his steps and turned to look at the man kneeling on the ground. His dark eyes were like a starless night, pitch black and terrifying.

“Oh?” Fo Xin smiled faintly. “I wonder what secret the benefactor is talking about? This humble monk is quite curious.”

Seeing Fo Xin smile, the man, who had been arrogant moments ago, suddenly felt a chill rise within him.

He had a gut feeling—he was going to die…

Fo Xin had captured him without killing him, intending to bring him back to Fo Du for interrogation. But now, the man had the instinct that Fo Xin wouldn’t take him back to Fo Du. Instead, he would kill him right here because he had crossed a line. But… other than the words he just spoke, he hadn’t done anything!

Before he uttered those last words, Fo Xin had been calm, with nothing seeming amiss. But now, suddenly, he wanted to kill him. Could it be…

The man suddenly looked up at Fo Xin, his face full of shock!

“You!”

*Whoosh!*

A long sword sliced through the air, a flash of white light cutting through the night. The sword, glinting with a cold edge, drew an arc, and with a thud, the man’s head fell to the ground.

Yong Ye stood beside the man, holding the long sword, his expression cold and indifferent.

The two disciples of Fo Du, witnessing this scene, remained unfazed. They simply loosened their grip and then stepped aside.

“Your Highness.” Yong Ye sheathed his sword and addressed Fo Xin.

Fo Xin stood with his hands behind his back, casting a cold glance at the man’s body before turning to leave. “Let’s go.”

“Yes.” Yong Ye complied. With a flick of his fingers, a flame ignited on the man’s corpse, consuming it.

The sky lightened with the first hints of dawn, as the morning light filtered through the gaps in the doors and windows.

Huang Quan glanced outside, then gathered the items on her table before going to fetch water for a bath. After bathing, as she was about to head out, she noticed her communication stone lighting up.

Seeing the stone light up, Huang Quan quickly infused it with her spiritual energy.

As the energy flowed into the stone, its light stopped flickering and shone steadily.

“Quan Quan,” came Di Qin’s deep, melodious voice from the communication stone.

Hearing his voice, Huang Quan, who had been worried all night, finally felt relieved.

After chatting for a while, Huang Quan cut off her spiritual energy, and the communication stone returned to its normal state.

“Quan Quan,” came Nangong Mian’s voice from outside the room.

Huang Quan got up and went outside.

With a creak, the tightly closed door opened.

Huang Quan looked at Nangong Mian and Jing Chen standing outside and smiled. “Getting ready to go this early?”

Nangong Mian replied, “It’s not that early. We’ll first go have breakfast, then I’ll take you both to see the Sacred Spirit Academy. After that, we’ll head back to the Spiritual Academy. By then, the timing should be just right.”

“Sounds good,” Huang Quan said. “Let’s go.”

“Alright.”

The group made their way to the academy’s dining hall.

It was still early, and when they arrived, there weren’t many people in the dining hall. After breakfast, they headed to the Sacred Spirit Academy together.

Since the Sacred Spirit Academy had very few students, it wasn’t divided into multiple sections like the other academies. Instead, it had one large courtyard. When they entered, they saw a young boy sitting inside.

The boy had been lying on the table, sleeping. Hearing the noise, he opened his eyes.

He saw a man, a woman, and a child who looked like a little immortal walking in. As soon as he spotted the woman, he became alert and said, “Huang Quan?”

Huang Quan looked over at the boy when she heard his voice.

Seeing her look his way, the boy smiled and said, “Seeing is indeed believing. The lady is truly a celestial beauty; no wonder even the Crown Prince Di Qin has fallen for her.”
