The Whole World Knows That the Crown Prince Loves Her

Chapter 248: A Force More Dominant Than the Poisonous Mist

Fo Xin’s expression was cold as he looked at the two-headed man. He clasped his five fingers together, and the Buddha lotus vanished. The thing wrapped in the Buddha lotus disappeared along with it, turning into a wisp of black smoke in Fo Xin’s palm!

The two-headed man was utterly shocked by this sight. The veins on his face bulged, making his expression even more grotesque.

“How is this possible?”

That Gu worm was deadly poison!

You don’t even need to let it enter your body—just touching it would be fatal. How could he be completely unharmed?

Standing behind Fo Xin, Huang Quan tilted her head as she looked at the two-headed man and said, “Not only are you ugly, but you’re disgusting too!”

The two-headed man was so stunned by Fo Xin that he hadn’t even recovered his senses.

Fo Xin glared at him, his dark eyes filled with murderous intent. “Kill him!”

With that command, all the Buddhist disciples charged toward the two-headed man.

“With just you lot?”

The two-headed man sneered, opening his mouth. A black mist began to seep out, rapidly spreading in all directions.

At the same time, the beast the two-headed man was standing on roared and then charged at them from under his feet!

“That black mist is poisonous,” the High Priest warned.

Upon hearing that the black mist was poisonous, everyone immediately retreated.

The High Priest raised his hand, and a barrier formed, enclosing everyone inside to protect them from the black mist.

Seeing this, the two-headed man smirked. “It’s useless.”

“My poisonous mist will keep spreading until it fills this entire place!”

“And your spiritual energy will eventually run out. You can’t hide in that barrier forever. Once you come out, my mist will melt you!”

“Hahaha!”

The two-headed man laughed as he looked at the people inside the barrier.

His laugh made his already ugly face even more hideous, causing Huang Quan to cover her eyes instantly.

Feng Jiu Yuan, seeing her cover her eyes, thought she was feeling unwell and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Huang Quan replied, “My eyes have been poisoned.”

Feng Jiu Yuan was speechless. There was nothing he could say; the man’s ugliness was indeed a severe assault on the eyes.

As Huang Quan and Feng Jiu Yuan were speaking, Zhong Yu tugged on Huang Quan’s sleeve.

Huang Quan looked at him.

Zhong Yu didn’t say anything; he just pointed to himself and then at the two-headed man outside.

Huang Quan understood his meaning after a moment and shook her head. “You can’t handle it.”

The poisonous mist harms the body, not the soul. Even though Zhong Yu is a living corpse, his body would still be melted by it.

“Don’t worry,” Huang Quan said. “I’ll handle it right away.”

After saying this, Huang Quan took out a strip of cloth from her space and used it to cover her eyes.

“High Priest,” she said after confirming that her eyes were covered and she could no longer see outside, “let me out.”

The High Priest, who knew from the previous encounter with the beast that Huang Quan wasn’t afraid of poisonous gases or similar threats, was not concerned. He simply said, “Walk to the edge of the barrier, and I’ll let you out.”

“Mm,” Huang Quan responded and began walking forward.

Fo Xin stood right in front of her. Seeing her walk forward, he followed and said, “Benefactor, this humble monk will go with you.”

Hearing his voice, Huang Quan smiled slightly. “Aren’t you afraid of the poisonous mist?”

Fo Xin replied, “This humble monk has something to protect me, so I’m not afraid.”

Something to protect him?

It’s likely that what protects him isn’t just some object but a force even more powerful than the poisonous mist!

Huang Quan smiled again and said, “In that case, let’s go together. The sooner we deal with this, the sooner we can move on to the next level.”

“Mm,” Fo Xin responded.

The two of them walked to the edge of the barrier, and the High Priest opened it. In the next moment, they stepped out of the barrier together and into the blackmist

Chapter 249: You’re Dead

The poison expelled by the two-headed man filled the palace, creating an atmosphere of fear while also darkening the entire space.

As soon as Huang Quan entered the black mist, she said to Fo Xin, “I’ll take care of the two-headed man; you handle the beast.”

Fo Xin responded, “Alright.”

The two split up, with Huang Quan heading toward the two-headed man while Fo Xin went to deal with the beast.

Even with her eyes covered, Huang Quan’s speed wasn’t hindered in the slightest.

In no time, Huang Quan located the two-headed man within the black mist and immediately launched an attack.

Seeing her approach, the two-headed man pulled out a long spear and thrust it toward her with force!

Huang Quan swiftly sidestepped the attack and, with a quick movement, circled around to the back of the two-headed man. In the next instant, she raised her hand and delivered a powerful punch!

Sensing the force of the punch, one of the heads of the two-headed man twisted around abruptly and spat out a mouthful of poisonous mist directly at Huang Quan.

Huang Quan neither dodged nor flinched, allowing the poisonous mist to hit her.

The two-headed man, seeing that Huang Quan, like Fo Xin, was completely unaffected, began to question his own reality.

What’s going on?

His poison was so potent—why aren’t these two affected at all?

Huang Quan wiped her face, and the thought of that poisonous mist coming from the two-headed man’s mouth made her stomach churn.

She felt like vomiting.

Seriously.

Pressing her hand against her stomach, Huang Quan gave a sinister smile and said, “You’re dead.”

With that, Huang Quan leaped into the air and kicked at the two-headed man.

Realizing that the poisonous mist was ineffective against Huang Quan, the two-headed man quickly switched tactics, spitting out a burst of flames from the other mouth!

Sensing the flames, Huang Quan shifted her position and dodged, reappearing behind the two-headed man. The two-headed man swung his spear backward in an attempt to strike her, but Huang Quan grabbed the spear’s shaft and simultaneously delivered a powerful kick!

As her kick connected, Huang Quan released her grip on the spear, sending the two-headed man flying across the room, crashing to the ground with a thud.

Huang Quan made a quick movement with her feet and appeared beside the two-headed man. A black chain materialized in her hand.

Seeing this, the two-headed man suddenly sat up, trying to resist, but Huang Quan was too fast for him. She immediately wrapped the chain around both of his heads, binding them together!

Holding the chain tightly, Huang Quan sneered, “I told you earlier—you’re dead.”

With that, she pulled hard on the chain, causing the two-headed man to struggle in pain, but it was useless. He continued to struggle until there was no breath left in him. Only then did Huang Quan release the chain and put it away. She then tore off the cloth that had been covering her eyes.

“Bang!”

A loud thud came from the other side, followed by the beast’s whimpering. But that sound quickly faded, and everything went silent.

Huang Quan knew that Fo Xin had taken care of the beast.

The two of them stood outside without returning immediately.

The poisonous mist that had filled the palace vanished with the death of the two-headed man. At the same time, the large, tightly shut door at the back of the palace slowly began to open.

Behind the door was a corridor that led into complete darkness, where nothing could be seen.

Huang Quan glanced at it briefly before turning her gaze away.

Seeing that the poisonous mist had disappeared, the High Priest raised his hand and dispelled the barrier.

As soon as the barrier was removed, the others rushed toward the corridor.

The group from Nine Abyss City didn’t follow. Instead, they walked up to Huang Quan and said, “Miss Nangong, thank you.” If it hadn’t been for Miss Nangong and Master Fo Xin, they would have been stuck there.

After thanking Huang Quan, the people from Nine Abyss City also thanked Fo Xin. Then they walked over to the corridor and joined the others in looking toward the other side.
