The Whole World Knows That the Crown Prince Loves Her

The situation in the first level of the tower realm was particularly brutal, and this brutality persisted for half an hour.

After half an hour, white light appeared again in various places, and each time it did, someone emerged.

When the white light ceased, Huang Quan glanced at the people who had come out and said, “We’ve lost about half.”

“Yeah,” the High Priest responded. “Most of them had lower cultivation levels.”

“If we’ve lost half in the first level, won’t it be even more dangerous from here on?” Lin Xu remarked.

Feng Jiuyuan glanced at him. “Even if it’s dangerous, you still have to participate. Do you have another way to leave?”

There’s no place in the ruins that isn’t dangerous; they should have thought of that before coming.

After being rebuked by Feng Jiuyuan, Lin Xu fell silent.

“Young Master.”

A group of people approached and stopped in front of Feng Jiuyuan. The leader, holding a long sword, looked at Feng Jiuyuan with a solemn expression. “Young Master, did you see the situation in the first level of the tower realm?”

Feng Jiuyuan nodded. “I did.”

The man continued, “Since Young Master saw it, we will now act together with you.”

This team sent by Jiuyuan City was all very strong, not needing the help of the High Priest. They wanted to protect Feng Jiuyuan because they knew how dangerous the tower realm was.

Feng Jiuyuan pondered for a moment, about to say something, when the man preemptively spoke again, “Young Master, even if you don’t agree, we will still follow you.”

Feng Jiuyuan looked at them and said, “My cultivation is not lower than yours. If you want to protect me, first protect yourselves. If you can’t even protect yourselves, how can you protect me?”

The people from Jiuyuan City respectfully replied, “We will follow Young Master’s orders!”

Others looked at them with envy.

How nice it must be to act with the High Priest…

Ignoring their stares, the High Priest casually glanced towards Buddha’s Heart. After seeing that Buddha’s Heart showed no intention of coming over, the High Priest sighed in relief.

“Congratulations on passing through the first level of the tower realm,” the hoarse male voice rang out. Immediately after, the floating screen once again displayed the man’s image: “Next, you will face the second level of the tower realm.”

“May you return safely,” the man concluded, and white light appeared again, enveloping those within its glow who instantly vanished.

The High Priest raised his hand, and black ribbons wound around the wrists of the six individuals.

As the ribbons secured them, the white light appeared, and Huang Quan and the others disappeared in an instant.

Tower tall trees stretched with luxuriant branches and foliage, sunlight dappling through the gaps in the leaves, casting mottled shadows.

A hand reached up, plucking off a leaf.

Speckled light danced upon the leaf, catching the eye of the one who plucked it. A young man with dark brows and eyes lit faintly with a gleam, appearing even more radiant.

The young man gazed at the leaf, lips slightly upturned in a gentle smile. “The first level was a small city. I thought the second level would be another city, but it’s turned into a forest!”

Beside him, a child lifted their head, looking at him with a mild expression. “Feng Jiuyuan, look ahead. Stop looking at leaves.”

Feng Jiuyuan clicked his tongue lightly, lowering his gaze to the child beside him. “Why are you so annoying?”

Threaten him, not tall enough to shout at him, and not allowed to look here and there!

While they had heard about each other before, they had never spent so much time together like this before. This was the first time Mirror Chen had annoyed him so casually.

“Shh,” Huang Quan whispered, gesturing silently ahead.

Feng Jiuyuan and Mirror Chen, seeing this, remained silent and listened carefully.

However…

Huang Quan’s cultivation was much higher than theirs. The sound Huang Quan could hear, not to mention Feng Jiuyuan and Mirror Chen, was also unheard by the High Priest. This left Lin Xu even more bewildered!

“Huang Quan,” the High Priest looked at her and asked, “What did you hear?”

“A buzzing sound…” Huang Quan looked ahead at the densely packed darkness, pondered for a moment, then suddenly exclaimed, “Run!”

With those words, Huang Quan turned and sprinted!

Mirror Chen and the others didn’t know what was happening, but seeing Huang Quan running, they didn’t foolishly stay put. They followed Huang Quan in their escape.

The High Priest, being faster, caught up with Huang Quan and asked, “What’s going on?”

“A swarm of bees!”

Huang Quan explained, “Not just ordinary bees. Look back and you’ll see that swarm of black clouds!”

Mirror Chen and the others heard this and indeed looked back.

As they turned around, they saw the black cloud that had previously been invisible drawing nearer. Simultaneously, the buzzing sound that they hadn’t heard before now filled their ears.

The collective buzzing of the swarm was like thunder!

“Damn, where did this swarm come from?” Feng Jiuyuan’s smile vanished from his face as he watched the approaching swarm.

“Buzz, buzz, buzz!”

The black cloud came closer and lower. While previously it had been in the sky, now it had entered the forest, clearly aiming for them!

“Oh my god!”

Lin Xu looked back and was immediately pale with fright. “What kind of bees are those? Why are they so huge?”

“Bees?” Feng Jiuyuan sneered. “Have you ever seen bees the size of fists?”

“Don’t waste time!” Huang Quan’s voice was cold. “Run!”

As the swarm closed in from behind, bees the size of fists shot poisonous stingers towards Huang Quan and the others.

The bees chased them relentlessly, shooting out their stingers with incredible speed. Every time the group dodged, they were slowed down.

“Bzzzzzz!”

The swarm descended in overwhelming numbers. The High Priest quickly formed seals, instantly erecting a barrier that enclosed everyone inside.

“Bzzzzzz…”

The swarm immediately surrounded the barrier. Outside, it was densely packed with bees the size of fists, a sight that sent shivers down their spines.

Not only that, but the bees relentlessly attacked the barrier—using their heads, tails, and every possible means!

These bees were particularly vicious, and with their sheer numbers, cracks soon appeared in the barrier despite the High Priest’s efforts.

Seeing the cracks, the High Priest immediately reinforced the barrier, but it was futile. While he could repair quickly, the bees attacked just as swiftly. Moreover, the bees could rotate their attacks with fresh replacements, but the defenders couldn’t switch out like that. After all, there was only one High Priest.

“We can’t keep this up indefinitely,” Mirror Chen frowned. “We should try a fire attack.”

“Insects like these should be afraid of fire.”

Among them, Lin Xu specialized in fire elemental abilities. Upon hearing the suggestion to use fire, Lin Xu’s face paled considerably. “With so many bees, I might not even get a chance to attack before they poison me with their stingers.”

Feng Jiuyuan chuckled with exasperation. “So, by your logic, none of us should go out or fight back at all, just stay stuck here?”

“Stay stuck here forever? Is that what you suggest?”
