The Villainess’ Kindergarten

CHAPTER 038: Crown Prince Installation Ceremony and Capital 3

“And…”

I couldn’t help but exclaim at the sight that unfolded before my eyes. There were buildings several times taller than Baridas’s domain, carriages, and people dressed extravagantly walking around the streets.

This was the capital.

After parting ways with Dimitri, we drove for about 5 more days and arrived in the capital. The imperial palace in the center of the capital was a beautiful royal palace, like something you would only see in a painting.

Baridas said to me as I was staring blankly at the imperial palace out the window.

“Please get off.”

Before I knew it, Baridas had gotten out of the stopped carriage and was holding out his hand.

When I remembered that I had been watching without even noticing the fact, I came to my senses and nodded.

“Yes, thanks.”

As I got off the carriage, knights wearing uniforms with the imperial emblem on them approached me. They bowed to us and then opened their mouths.

“His Majesty the Emperor is waiting.”

No, was he going to meet us right away like this? The Emperor who ruled the empire could be met so easily… Was not it?

When I thought about it carefully, I realized that in terms of rarity, there was no difference since Baridas was one of the few dukes in the empire.

We walked down the hallway following the knights.

The interior of the imperial palace was as ornate as the exterior. I walked over to the large plaster statue of a goddess that looked like it should be in the LeBre Museum.

Before long, we arrived in front of a huge door.

The knight guarding the door shouted.

“This is Duke Baridas Chilan and Princess Fiora de Damon!”

Then the door opened, and when I went inside, I saw a couple sitting on a chair. There was a platinum-haired man and a woman with brown hair and blue eyes.

It looked like the Emperor would be sitting on a large throne, but other than being a little more fancy, it wasn’t much different from the duke’s drawing room. But, how should I greet him?

At the time I was thinking, Baridas bowed first.

“I greet the sun and moon of the empire.”

Imitating his greeting, I slightly lifted my dress and bowed my head. After our greetings, the Emperor raised his hand and pointed to a chair. In his appearance, I could feel what is commonly referred to as elegance. If he lived on Earth, wouldn’t he be called King Louis I?

“Nice to meet you, Duke. And Princess Fiora.”

Even his voice was filled with elegance. I sat down and looked at the Emperor. My eyes were drawn to his hair. Like the children, most people in this world had unique hair colors. But this was my first time seeing hair the same color as the Emperor’s. His hair seemed as if it were soaked in sunlight, and I exclaimed inwardly.

‘Emperor, I think you were born in the wrong place. If you were born on Earth, you would have seen all the shampoo commercials and be called King Luis I.

At that time, the Emperor’s eyes and mine met.

“It’s been a long time, princess.”

Well, this was my first meeting with him. I was wondering what to say, but eventually responded with a knowing smile.

The Empress’s face turned red at my smile. But why? When our eyes met, the Empress smiled shyly and avoided my eyes, and seeing her like that made about a hundred question marks appear in my head.

Seeing the Empress like that, the Emperor smiled and opened his mouth.

“I was wondering why the Duke got engaged, and it turns out there was a reason.”

‘Oh no way, Empress. Is it because I’m pretty?’

When I looked at her Empress, she smiled at me. I admitted it honestly. With Fiora’s looks, I could seduce both women and men.

“That’s too much praise.”

But it was clear that if I said something like that outwardly, I would be treated like a crazy person, so I trembled. However, on the inside, Fiora is the best, most honorable, goddess. I thought about it, etc.

At that moment, the door burst open and a boy ran into the room. He had platinum hair and blue eyes that looked just like the Emperor. He ran into the room and hung on the Emperor’s arm, as if we couldn’t even see him.

“Dad! Buy me a mansion!!”

Was this the imperial scale?

What he did was no different from that of an ordinary child begging his parents, but the scale of what he wanted was different. Wasn’t he ashamed of his son like that? The Emperor noticed us and shook him out of our arms. His mouth was smiling, but there was anger in his eyes.

“I have a guest, so we will talk later, Rayan.”

But Rayan didn’t seem to care about any of that. No, on the contrary, I felt like he was doing it more because they had spectators.

Rayan lay down on the floor and started shaking his limbs from side to side. I was secretly impressed by his appearance. That was the so-called ding-kang, one of the techniques that children often use when asking them to buy something they want.

I felt fortunate that the children of the Chilan family were really well-behaved.

“Ah, why do you buy it for Lilian but not me, I want you to buy it for me too!!!!!”

That sight reminded me of the disobedient children I had at kindergarten and I felt like I was going to develop PTSD. Feeling a headache, I touched my forehead at the same time as the Empress. It seemed like she too had suffered quite a bit because of Rayan. But as if Rayan didn’t see anything in his eyes, he continued stamping his feet and whining.

Baridas’s expression eventually became frowning, and the Emperor, unable to bear it any longer, jumped up from his seat, grabbed Rayan’s arm, and shouted.

“Stay still!”

I felt like they were royal family members, royal family members, and the kids were kids. I knew very well that no matter how well I taught children, misbehaving children would continue to cause trouble no matter how much I scolded them.

“I hate you, dad!!”

That pattern didn’t seem to be any different here or on Earth. No, but didn’t he become the crown prince? …The country is ruined?

The moment I thought that, Rayan ran out of the room.

Seeing that, the Emperor must have decided that he was now a guest and that his children’s education was his priority, and he gestured to the knights waiting next to him.

“Get him.”

As the knights left the room, he sighed and looked back at me and Baridas.

“He didn’t look good.”

As he said this, his hair seemed more faded than before. The moment I was about to say it was okay, Baridas burst into laughter and opened his mouth.

“He is cheerful, just like his father.”

At his words, I opened my eyes and looked up at Baridas. No, could they talk to the Emperor like that? But the Emperor seemed not to care much and burst out laughing. He opened his mouth.

“…I gave you the wrong education, both you and my son.”

“Unfortunately, I don’t remember receiving any training from Your Majesty.”

During their conversation, the Empress and I looked at each other at the same time. The relationship between the Emperor and the Duke seemed more intimate than necessary. What was the relationship between those two? It seemed like the Empress was wondering that too.

At that time, the knight came into the room. Rayan was hanging weakly in his hand. When the Empress beckoned to him, he dropped Rayan into the Empress’s arms.

Rayan cried and fell into her arms.

“Mom…”

However, the Empress also seemed very angry this time. She turned him over without hesitation. And her palm was towards his ass.

Slap!

A cheerful sound echoed throughout the room, as if he had hit it quite a lot.

She opened her mouth while slapping Rayan’s ass.

“I. TOLD. YOU. NOT. TO. DO. THAT. WHEN. WE. HAVE. GUESTS!”

Rayan’s face was red as he looked at me and Baridas, probably because he was embarrassed to have been treated like someone who didn’t exist until just now, and to have been beaten in front of others. Rayan, who had received about ten slaps on his buttocks, looked at the Empress in tears. But it seemed like the Empress had no intention of letting go this time. She looked back at us, ignoring Rayan who was crying.

Her expression, which had been frowning fiercely, quickly became serious.

“It didn’t look good.”

She said and laughed loudly, grabbed Rayan and dragged him in front of us.

Rayan clenched his fists and opened his mouth in a hushed voice.

“…Sorry for disturbing you…”

Still, since he was still a child, I thought he was cute.

Just as I let out a small laugh and was about to say it was okay, there was a knock on the door.  Soon the door opened and a girl with her hair neatly tied into a single strand came into the room.

Wearing a white dress with an imperial pattern, she seemed to be speaking with her whole body. “I am the princess,” she said.

Rayan’s expression crumpled at her appearance. I was able to notice it. That she was his younger sister and princess Lilian.

“Oh, you have a guest. My name is the first princess, Lilian. Can you excuse me for a moment? I have something to tell my father.” she said as she smiled gracefully and greeted us.

If the Emperor was a reincarnation of Louis I, then she was a God creation.

Once we gave permission, she ignored Rayan and walked to the Emperor and Empress.

“Father, will I be able to receive the Emerald Palace after this investiture ceremony?”

Hey. Was it a palace this time?

I was once again amazed by the scale of the imperial palace.

“When Rayan becomes crown prince, he will now move to the Ruby Palace, and I want to have that palace.”

The Emperor, who thought for a moment about her words, nodded his head.

“Yes, please do so.”

Having obtained what she wanted, Lilian smiled brightly and hugged the Emperor. When Rayan looked at her, his fists were full of strength, as if he really didn’t know why his father wasn’t listening to him.

‘Really, I think the country is ruined.’

Should Rayan run away to Damon with the Chilan before he becomes Emperor? As I was thinking about it, I noticed Lilian and Rayan looking at each other.

Unlike Rayan, she got what she wanted, looked triumphant and whispered to Rayan with her mouth.

“If you want something, you have to say it well, idiot.”

Other people didn’t seem to see it, but I noticed her behavior. I saw it clearly.

Siblings were siblings, regardless of whether they were royal family members or not. I once again felt grateful for the children who got along well.

The children went out of the room, and the Emperor, rubbing his head and sighing, looked back at me and Baridas. At that time, when I was secretly giving words of encouragement to those people who seemed to be 10 years older than before, the emperor opened his mouth.

“There was a lot I wanted to hear from the Duke and princess, but let’s end it here for today.”

At his words, the waiting attendant approached, and the Emperor motioned to him.

“Please take them to the best room.”

So we were guided to the room by an attendant.

When I arrived at the prepared room, I couldn’t help but be amazed.  It was a luxurious room that could not be described just as luxurious. I was so excited to look around the room and put my dress away that I didn’t notice that there was a big problem with the prepared room.
