The Villainess’ Kindergarten

CHAPTER 027: First engagement ceremony (2)

The day after the engagement party preparations were completed, the children arrived at Peter’s kitchen without Fiora knowing. Ren and Greenlyly arrived earlier than the other children, and Peter and his assistant Tefit were wearing aprons to help them today. Lima and Thomas arrived later. The children were dragged in again without knowing why. All the children in the mansion except Jasmine were gathered in Peter’s galley.

Greenlyly, wearing an apron, opened his mouth.

“Let’s make the cake sheet first.”

Lima added to his words.

“And cookies… Hmm, I wish I had juice too!”

After saying that, Lima opened her sketchbook and added a drawing of juice. Looking at that, Peter and Tephyt sighed. They knew the children made up words and most of the work had to be done by them. The two people looked at each other and nodded. The two had already spoken to each other. They only ask the children to decorate the cakes and cookies and make the dough, and do the rest themselves. They took out the ingredients that had already been measured. It was after preparations had been made in advance yesterday. Just add milk and eggs to a mixing bowl and mix to make a delicious dough. The cookie dough and whipped cream were equally perfect, and since the kids couldn’t use knives, they cut up all the fruit as well. We even prepared icing and chocolate to decorate the cookies in advance. Peter and Tefit looked proudly at the ingredients they had prepared after staying up most of the night. Ren tied Lima’s hair into two pigtails and then tied his own hair as well. His long hair flowed and became one. Lima said, her eyes sparkling as she saw Ren’s tied hair for the first time.

“Sister, that hair looks good on you!”

“Thank you.”

At Lima’s words, Ren smiled slightly as if he was embarrassed. At that time, Greenly, who noticed that Jasmine, who was always next to Ren, was nowhere to be seen, opened her mouth.

“What about your sister, Jasmine?”

Last night, despite Ren’s dissuasion, Jasmine, who read a storybook late into the night, was unable to wake up. Ren sighed, unable to wake her up.

“She was sleeping so soundly that I couldn’t wake her up.”

“Then there’s nothing we can do. Let’s start by ourselves.”

At Thomas’s words, all the children gathered and took their seats at the kitchen table.

Under Peter’s direction, the children mixed the cake batter. The cake batter containing Peter’s sleep and blood was mixed by the children’s hands and then placed into the cake mold. The children put the cake sheet in the oven and started kneading the cookies. As expected from Peter, the children had great fun stamping cookies with the cookie mold.

Peter gave a thumbs up to Tefit, who suggested making a lot of dough. More than 5 cookies were made like that. By the time the cookies were finished, the cake was baked. When Peter took the cake out of the oven, the sweet smell of cake wafted through the kitchen. The children looked ecstatic, and Peter cut the cake with a satisfied smile. The children put whipped cream and pieces of fruit on top, and Crimson cleaned up the outside. Crimson held the children’s arms and helped them pipe the cream using a piping bag. After decorating the fruit on top, a pretty decent cake was completed.

“Pretty!”

Lima exclaimed after seeing the finished cake, and they smiled in satisfaction as they looked at the cake. There was still time left until the cookies were baked, and the children sat down on chairs and started chatting. The highlight of this plan was the cookies. They planned to make a ducal mansion out of cookies. Of course, it was Peter who came up with the cookie mold. Peter’s dark circles looked even darker. Before they knew it, the cookies were all baked, and Peter began assembling them by applying melted chocolate to the supports to secure the cookies. Perhaps his efforts paid off, and the beautiful Cookie Mansion was revealed.

He was worried because it was his first time trying this method, but Peter smiled with satisfaction at the cookie that came out prettier than expected.

“Now you can decorate.”

After Peter gave permission, the children began decorating the cookies using icing and chocolate. As four small pairs of hands came together, the engagement ceremony room made of cookies was decorated in an instant. After decorating the cookies, the children brought baked ginger men. The children placed images of Fiora, themselves, and Baridas on it. All he had to do was color the eyes and hair. Finally, the children smiled with satisfaction as they completed the cookies shaped like Lili and Lala. All preparations for the engagement ceremony were completed.

* * *

At that time, Jasmine woke up late.

“Uhm…”

Jasmine sat on the bed and looked around him. Normally, he couldn’t see Ren, who would have been studying. Jasmine tilted her head and began to cry when she remembered that she had overslept.

“Hmm…”

She burst open the door and ran into the galley. She even forgot to close the door. The problem was that Lili and Lara wake up at the sound of Jasmine opening the door.

“Woof?”

“Woof!”

The two puppies chased after Jasmine, who was ahead. A child couldn’t be faster than a dog. Jasmine was caught up by her puppies, but she was too busy crying to notice their presence. When Jasmine opened the kitchen door, everything was already ready. Jasmine started crying.

“Me too… I wanted to do it too!!!”

Lili and Lara came running into the kitchen behind her. Their eyes turned to the cake Ren was holding and they ran towards it. It was clear that if things continued like this, the cake would be ruined. Ren was holding the cake so she couldn’t avoid it and she was frozen in place like a stone. At that moment, the puppies running across the table stopped in the air. Chantz was holding Lara’s waist and Lili’s stomach.

“This… Poopy puppies.”

He was afraid of dogs and didn’t let go of them even though he was shaking. Lima and Greenly quickly took Lili and Lala from him and held them one by one.

“Kkiing…”

The two puppies were so discouraged that they were carried out of the kitchen by Lima and Greenly without much resistance. Chantz glared at his hands that held the two puppies. There was a lot of hair on both of his hands. He got creeped out just by looking at the little monsters’ fur, so he went out of the kitchen to shake off his clothes and hands, which were covered in fur.

“Ugh…”

Chantz clicked his tongue as he looked at the dog hair that wouldn’t come off no matter how much he brushed it off. It’s so annoying, but what good is raising it? Chantz grumbled inwardly. At that time, a soft voice came from behind.

“Thank you. Thanks to you, the cake didn’t get ruined.”

Someone held out a handkerchief to him. Chantz raised his head and looked up at the person holding out the handkerchief. It was Ren. Chantz’s expression softened without knowing.

“Thank god.”

When Chantz had shaken off most of the fur, Lima and Greenly, who had brought Lili and Lara’s food, found Ren.

“Sister, let’s go now.”

“Sister, go together.”

The two children were very wary of the children with Ren and pulled her. Chantz tilted his head at their appearance and looked at their backs as they walked away. Then he heard a familiar voice.

“Chantz, what are you doing?”

It was Fiora. Thinking that it was fortunate that the children had not been caught by a narrow margin, Chantz began to think of an excuse to divert Fiora’s attention. At that time, Chantz’s eyes caught Lili and Lara’s fur that had fallen on the floor. Still, it did help.

“The puppies escaped from the room, so the young lady and the masters helped them get them back.”

Fiora tilted her head at his words.

‘Chantz who is afraid of dogs?’

But his expression looked so determined that Fiora was convinced. There was no reason for him to lie to her. At a time when Chantz was wasting time by asking Fiora useless questions, Chantz’s eyes caught sight of the twins dragging Baridas away. Looks like he was ready, he sighed in relief. Then, perhaps because they were looking for Fiora, Thomas and Ren came running to them. They grabbed Fiora by her arms and began dragging her away without her saying a word.

Was everything done? He needed to swing his sword a little more. Chantz turned his gaze and headed towards the training ground. On the way to the training ground, someone grabbed Chantz’s clothes. When he looked back, he saw an orange-haired girl holding on to Chantz’s clothes, gasping for air. It was Ren.

“Miss?”

After panting for a while to catch her breath in response his question, Ren opened her mouth.

“Same… this… song… ”

Ren said while breathing heavily, probably because she had been chasing too hard. Ren was so breathing that it was hard to hear what she was saying, but somehow Chantz was able to understand what she was saying. For whatever reason, Ren was one of the young ladies he served. She was going because she had suffered so much and she had to pick herself up. There was no other reason. Really. With that in mind, he held out his back to Ren.

“You look tired.”

“…it’s okay… yo. this.”

It didn’t look okay at all. Chantz sighed and slid his arms around Ren’s legs and back.

“Excuse me.”

Ren’s body floated and her face turned red. Ren lifted her hands and covered her face. She had a hard time. It was definitely difficult, but that didn’t mean it caused such a nuisance. She felt embarrassed. Still, she definitely felt comfortable being held by him, so she became even more ashamed and embarrassed of herself. She couldn’t believe she was showing such disgrace. Ren’s face continued to blush.

‘Cute.’

Seeing that, Chantz thought that someone was cute for the first time in his life. This was how he felt towards his younger sister. Chantz brainwashed himself into thinking that it had to be that way. As Chantz was walking towards the engagement ceremony prepared by the children, holding Ren, someone caught him.

“Let me take her.”

It was Baridas. Baridas, who accepted Ren from Chantz and naturally held her, stroked her head with his opposite hand. Her body was weak and she was worried about Ren suddenly running off somewhere, so she came and found herself in this situation. Baridas looked down at Chantz, thinking he had done well to come. He thought it was still too early for his younger sister to start dating. And soon she would become an adult but Ren was too young to be sent to that guy. Of course, there were three long years left until Chantz, now 17, became an adult. But to Baridas now, those three years seemed like a very short time. There were a lot of things he couldn’t do and a lot of things he could have done for him, but dating was already out of the question.

Chantz, who felt the murderous look in Baridas’ eyes, felt that it was unfair.

‘Duke, I didn’t do anything.’

He wanted to scream, but when Ren left his embrace, she felt sorry and wondered if she had the right to feel wronged.

‘…I am not interested in young children. No, really.’

Ren, unable to understand why the two men were glaring at each other without saying a word, just tilted her head.
