The Villainess’ Kindergarten

CHAPTER 010: The Wicked Woman’s Theory of Happiness

Knock, knock!

Even the sound of knocking on the door was cute. When I motioned for the door to open, Lorna opened it, and Jasmine stuck her head out and ran towards me.

“The princess meme!”

She called me with a cute voice. And then Ren appeared behind her. They were holding hands and running towards me like good sisters. Jasmine and Ren kissed my forehead and then greeted me.

“Good morning.”

“It’s a little bitch.”

The two children who greeted me also said hello to the children standing behind me and then sat down. Jasmine took a seat on my lap, and Ren took a seat next to me. As I poured tea for the children, I looked at them standing proudly. It took three days after that happened and the knights were upset. The test to select my guardian has begun. To be honest, I didn’t think Chantz would stare. This was because he himself said that he was not interested in such a position, and the nobles who harassed him were also punished. But contrary to my expectations, he applied to be my guardian and was easily accepted. I didn’t know why, but it wasn’t a bad thing from my perspective. At that time, Chantz and I met our eyes. Embarrassed that I was caught watching him, I cut a piece of cake and handed it to him. The children smiled brightly and accepted the cake.

‘So cute.’

To my eyes, both Chantz and the children just looked young. Of course, in his case, he could have grown up and hit my head. I smiled as I watched the children eating the cake with sparkling eyes. My neck won’t be cut off. I sipped my tea and took a bite of the cookie. The sweet taste spread throughout my mouth. After eliminating all threats, I was enjoying my life as a Duchess. The children were always cute, and the duchy provided me with many things. Splendid food, clothing, and shelter were the basics, and people enjoyed luxury and leisure with massage, skin care, etc. I didn’t even do anything because I was a guest and not yet his fiancee. Was this what a rich unemployed person feels like? All I had to do was enjoy it like this for three years, then break off the engagement and become a tutor for the children. I already started laughing when I thought about the kids calling me teacher.

“Hehehe… ”

That was the moment I cut the cake with a fork to eat it. The door burst open and Lima and Greenly ran into my room. The twins were holding wrapped boxes one by one, and four maids were following behind them, not knowing what to do. The two children who entered the room ran towards me the moment their eyes met mine. Then, before I had time to say anything, he held out a box. On the box it was written “Chocolate.”

“Princess! Do you want to eat this?”

“Hello, princess.”

Well, hello. What is this all about? I was taken aback by the sudden appearance of the twins, and patted their heads to tell them to calm down.

“Hi guys.”

The kids seemed intent on getting me to eat chocolate somehow. I couldn’t resist the children who looked at me with sparkling eyes and told me to eat quickly. The moment I was about to open the box to eat the chocolate, Jasmine got up from her chair and ran over to grab Lima’s dress.

“Me too, Joe!”

Lima, who saw Jasmine looking up at him with sparkling eyes, looked around as if he had realized that there was a guest in my room first. Greenley was already sitting next to Ren, eating the last of the pudding, and Lima’s cheeks puffed out when she saw that. She handed Jasmine her box of chocolates, then stomped away angrily and approached Greenley. Then he dipped the pudding he was eating with his fork and ate it in one bite.

“Yum!”

Greenley, who witnessed the pudding disappear into Lemon’s mouth right before his eyes, shouted in frustration.

“My pudding!”

“Hmph, shamelessly.”

The twins started bickering like that. Ren and Jasmine must have already gotten used to the sight of the two, as Ren sipped his tea and Jasmine munched on her chocolate while watching the two argue.

It’s crazy.

The kids were always cute, but when they made that much noise, I felt like I was going crazy. Chantz seemed to feel the same way, so they secretly covered their ears. The fight between the two stopped only after one of the maids brought Lemon a chair and another cake. Lima and Greenley quietly sat down and started eating cake, and peaceful tea time finally began again. I picked up the cake I couldn’t eat with my fork again when the twins appeared. At that moment, the door opened with a knock and Thomas came inside.

“Princess.”

‘…my cake.’

He called me and since I couldn’t talk without making a fuss, I put down the cake and looked at Toma.

“What’s happen?”

After not being able to eat cake twice, I looked back at Thomas, imagining eating the cake in one bite. He held out a small box to me. When I tilted my head, Thomas shouted in frustration.

“It’s a gift.”

I let out a small gasp at his words. Thomas is a gift to me. I carefully accepted the small box that fit lightly in one hand.

“Thank you.”

I smiled brightly as I accepted the box. Um, wouldn’t it be rude to open it here? I put the box on the dresser right next to me. Thomas seemed to have finished his business and tried to leave my room without hesitation, but at that moment his twin caught him.

“Where are you going, play with us?”

“Brother, sit down.”

Ren smiled slightly at the sight of the two, and Jasmine pulled Thomas’ arm without saying a word. And then I looked up at Thomas. With a look in his eyes that seemed to say, “Don’t go.” Thomas naturally sat down and the tea party began again. The children chatted and drank tea, and I watched them smiling. Honestly, it was a little noisy, but it all looked cute to me.

Knock, knock.

Then there was a knocking sound. I gestured, Lena opened the door, and Crimson entered the room. The moment he greeted me and was about to open his mouth, Lima screamed.

“My cookies!!!!”

When I heard her voice, I turned to see Greenley puffing out his cheeks and munching on a cookie. So Greenley and Lima started arguing again. The problem was that Thomas and Ren, who would normally be calm, took sides and interfered in the fight.

“Lima, you can’t do that. Apologize.”

Ren spoke, and Thomas, too, opened his mouth.

“Greenley, you were wrong this time. Apologize to Lima.”

The twins puffed out their cheeks at their words. And so the argument between the four siblings began. My voice, small at first, started to get louder and it was almost impossible to talk in this situation, so I finally opened my mouth.

“Guys, be quiet…”

But the children didn’t stop talking, as if they couldn’t hear my voice, and I looked at Crimson’s notice. He sighed as if he was used to it and was looking at the children with a blank expression. Since I was the only one who could stop the children here, I thought about it and brought out the skill I used the most among those used in kindergarten.

“Let’s become a hermit crab. Hermit crab mugwort!”

As soon as I said that, the children became quiet. Originally, it was to lie down under the desk and be quiet, but it seemed to make sense. I smiled at the children who had become calm. The children still didn’t understand the situation, but they seemed to understand the meaning and looked at me with their mouths closed. I smiled at those children and opened my mouth.

“If you tell me that I want to become a hermit crab from now on, I’ll say it! Shout and be quiet. Understand?”

All the children nodded, shaking their heads up and down with their mouths closed. I said, laughing because it was cute.

“Okay then, shall we give it a try? Let’s become a hermit crab. Hermit crab mugwort!”

“Wormwood!”

All the children sang in unison. Except for Thomas. As expected, it was a bit childish for an elementary school student. The moment I was about to give up, Jasmine tugged on Thomas’ clothes.

“Daddy, mugwort!”

Seeing her stern expression, Thomas shouted quietly.

“…Wormwood…”

Thomas’ face turned red as he spoke quietly, and the rest of the children, except Jasmine, burst out laughing. I thought Thomas was cute, so I stroked his head and continued talking.

“Good job. And I’m done with the hermit crab! If I say that, I’ll start talking from then on, okay?”

The children nodded again at my words and I continued.

“The hermit crab is over!”

As I spoke, the children opened their mouths, looked at each other, and giggled. My heart was touched by that sight, and I expressed my infinite gratitude to the daycare director who taught me about hermit crabs.

“Okay, everyone is nice. good job.”

The maids and butler Crimson were looking at me with wide eyes, amazed that I had calmed the children down in an instant. Stopping the kids from them would have been as difficult as stopping Jjang X from a certain animation. Then I looked at Greenley and Lima who looked at each other sullenly and said.

“Now then, let’s hold hands and make up.”

It wasn’t a particularly good way to reconcile like this, but since they had stolen each other’s snacks from time to time, they were both at fault. The two faced each other and started glaring at each other. Of the two children, Greenley was the first to open his expression. He held out his hand to Lima.

“Sorry.”

“…I’m sorry too.”

The two children held hands and smiled brightly. The children started chatting and playing together again, and I looked back at Crimson as their voices became much quieter than before. I felt like I could talk to him comfortably now.

“You are amazing.”

I smiled shyly at Crimson’s words. This may not be a big deal, but the average number of students per class at the daycare center I attended was over 20. In comparison, keeping five children quiet was simple for me.

“It’s no big deal. But what brought you here?”

Crimson opened his mouth with an expression that he had only just remembered.

“The Duke says he will be holding a banquet this weekend.”

…Oh, I don’t want to go. I couldn’t control my facial expression for a moment, so I immediately relaxed my face and smiled.

“Please tell the Duke that I will definitely participate.”

The reason for holding a banquet now, not long after I arrived at the Duke’s house, was obvious. It was probably an opportunity to formally introduce me to other nobles. After finishing delivering it to me, Crimson left the room, and as soon as he left, I wiped the smile he was trying to put on from his face. It’s annoying, really. Thinking that it was going to be a very tiring day, I nervously ran my fingers through my hair.
