The Villainess’ Beloved Plan: The Struggles to Avoid a Doomed End

CHAPTER 001: The Villainess is Invited to a Tea Party 1

“Today’s weather is lovely…”

“Are you going to a matchmaking meeting or something?”

Orion interrupted, causing Alina Legato to burst out laughing, and Sophia Glastona-Vortio to puff out her cheeks.

It’s been a month and a half since Sophia married Randall and became Duchess of Voltio.

During that time, her husband Randall continued to stay at the castle as usual.

The garden of the Duke of Voltio’s mansion, located close to the castle, was completely dressed in autumn, and the maple leaves near the arbor where Sophia and her friends are sitting are beautifully colored, fluttering down with every breeze.

Sophia, who spread out the tea set in the arbor, was in the middle of practicing a “tea party.”

Noble ladies loved tea parties. When she lived in the castle, she lived a quiet and secluded life, so she had no opportunity to attend any, but now that she was Randall’s wife, it was a path that couldn’t be avoided.

Since she was not allowed to receive an education as a princess, Sophia decided that this was not good to continue like this and consulted her butler Johannes.

Randall’s favorite saying was “Don’t bring shame on the Duke of Voltio.” If she were to make a mistake at the tea party she was invited to, who knows how cold his gaze would be.

Furthermore, if Sophia could perfectly play the role of a Duchess at the tea party, Randall would probably think a little better of her.

(Let’s aim to become a loving couple!)

The road was long and difficult, but that was Sophia’s goal.

Sophia and Randall must become a loving couple within about two years and avoid the catastrophe ending.

Because Sophia had memories of her past life.

In her previous life, Sophia lived in a different world from this one, and she lost her life in a road collapse accident along with Orion here.

She was then reincarnated into this world, but to her surprise, it was the world of “Snows of Glastona,” an otome game that Sophia loved in her previous life.

To make matters worse, Sophia was the villainess in “Snows of Glastona.” She was in the position of trying to frame her half-sister, Keira Glastona, who was the same age as her and was the heroine, and at the end of the game, she was condemned and exiled from the country.

Sophia really wanted to avoid that ruinous ending at all costs.

The game scenario would start two years from now, in the fall of Sophia and Keira’s eighteenth year. By that time, Sophia must have become a lovey-dovey couple with Randall Voltio, one of the capture characters, to avoid the downfall from condemnation.

However, as expected of one of the capture characters, Randall was not very open to Sophia. Not only did he not open up, but even though she managed to convince her father, the King, to wed him, he has not come back to the mansion at all.

This was a serious situation.

If they continue to live apart like this for two years, the distance between them would not close at all, and they would head straight for a ruinous ending…

So Sophia decided to receive education to become a noblewoman, so that Randall would change his mind about her.

Fortunately, the servants of the Duke’s household were friendly towards Sophia.

When she said that she wanted to become a fine noblewoman for Randall, they wet their handkerchiefs and said, “That’s wonderful, ma’am!” and cooperated.

After consulting with her butler Johannes, Sophia decided to prioritize practicing dance and tea parties now that the social season was in full swing, and thus she was practicing tea parties with Orion, her best friend from her past life and currently her bodyguard, and Alina, who was also reincarnated but not acquainted with her from her past life.

(…I don’t really understand tea parties.)

Alina said that as long as she showed an exaggerated interest in the bragging and gossip of the noble ladies, that would be enough. But Sophia could not stop wondering what was fun about that.

“In Sophia¡s case, she probably won’t be invited by noble ladies of her age, so it’s better to learn how to get along with older married ladies.”

As Alina said, many young ladies close to Sophia’s age were part of Keira’s circle. Because of that, they had always been harsh towards Sophia, so it’s hard to imagine them willingly inviting her to a tea party.

“For now, let’s keep the ‘today’s weather is so lovely’ thing under wraps. It’s not like you are some old lady in charge of matchmaking.”

As Orion brought up the topic again, Sophia sulked and chewed on her cookie into her mouth angrily.

“So what should I say?”

“Just say, ‘It’s a nice day today’.”

“Yeah. And if it’s a tea party in the garden, you can’t go wrong by saying, ‘What a lovely garden’. If it’s a salon, you can say, ‘This salon is elegant and very relaxing’.”

“Don’t forget to compliment the tea and sweets they serve.”

“Complimenting their dresses and accessories will make them feel better.”

Sophia understood. All she had to do was flatter them.

“Hey, what’s fun about tea parties?”

No matter how she looked at it, it just seemed like a tiring gathering, so Sophia asked, and Alina answered with a straight face.

“Once you get used to it, you’ll be able to laugh at their ignorance and heavy makeup.”

Unlike Alina, Sophia thought that such a day would never come.
