The Villainess’ Beloved Plan: The Struggles to Avoid a Doomed End

CHAPTER 010: The Villainess is buying a dress 3

The next day, Isolte came to Randall, who was staying at the castle.

“A dress?”

“Yes, I would like to purchase a dress for madam to wear at the dance party.”

Isolte hadn’t given up. Sophie was a beautiful lady after all. She was Isolte’s pride and joy. She wanted her to wear a beautiful dress, adorn her, and made her be the center of everyone’s attention.

“It’s social season and I want to order a few dresses.”

It was not uncommon for noble daughters and ladies to have new dresses to match the season of the year. Rather, it was common sense. What’s wrong with being prepared? Isolte naturally thought that Randall would agree, but he immediately frowned.

“Did she say she wanted that?”

Sophia said she didn’t need it, but was there something wrong with saying she did need it?

Isolte was a little annoyed by Randall’s reluctance. The Duke Voltio family had received a large dowry from the royal family. And that dowry was the lady’s money. If it was money for his wife, what’s wrong with using it? He was being too stingy!

“It’s extravagant.”

“…Excuse me, sir. Madam has never gone shopping even once since she got married, and she said she didn’t need a new dress this time. Despite that, calling it extravagant is not something I can ignore!”

Isolte knew that Randall didn’t value Sophia. But she is such a wonderful and beautiful lady. She had been quiet because the lady didn’t complain, but this time she couldn’t.

When Isolte glared coldly at Randall, he looked confused.

“Why buy a new dress if she doesn’t need it?”

“To prevent the lady from being ashamed!”

“…ashamed?”

“Dresses worn by the ladies at the dance party are like battle armors! Especially since the lady is a princess. The dress must be the latest trends! It must be perfectly beautiful! That’s what we servants do! It’s a matter of pride. Gentlemen may not understand it, but it’s very important!”

“…Nonsense.”

“I see. I understand. Now, I won’t say anything to you, sir. I will now ask His Majesty to provide the money for your wife’s dress from now on!”

“Don’t be ridiculous!”

“I’m not kidding!”

Even though Randall glared at her coldly, Isolte did not give up.

The lady was pitiful. She was a newlywed, yet she was married to a stingy husband who was reluctant to even buy a few dresses. It was too pitiful. Being such a wonderful lady, she should have been able to choose a kinder and more wonderful man than her actual husband!

“…Do whatever you want”

After a heated exchange of words, Isolte snatched victory from Randall and returned to the Duke’s house, humming.

“…Isolte”

“Yes, what is it, my lady!”

Isolte smiled brightly.

The next day, the owner of the most famous tailor in the capital came to Duke Voltio’s house. There were several ready-made dresses among the rows of sample fabrics. In the blink of an eye, Sophia’s entire body was measured, and before she knew it, she had purchased one off-the-shelf dress and three fully custom-made dresses.

When the tailor left, the jeweler came, and while Sophia was in a daze, two necklaces, three brooches, one bracelet, and two rings were bought. It was just after they left that Sophia came to her senses and realized what had happened.

“…I said I didn’t need a dress.”

“It’s for the master!”

“For Randall?”

“That’s right. If the lady doesn’t dress beautifully, the husband will be embarrassed!”

“Is that so?”

“That’s right!”

If that was the case, then there was nothing that could be done. Sophia couldn’t let Randall be embarrassed because of her.

“Isolte, you’re gradually starting to understand how to handle Sophia.”

Orion muttered something a little further away, but it didn’t reach Sophia’s ears.

Since the fully custom-made dress wouldn’t arrive in time for the dance party, the tailor would make some adjustments to the dress Sophia brought when she got married. Sophia flinched at Isolte’s enthusiasm, who was determined to bring out her utmost beauty.

“Come on, my lady! After you take a little break, it’s time for today’s dance lesson!”

Seeing the dazzling jewels lined up on the table, Sophia became scared oh how much money she had spent in just one day.
