The Villainess’ Beloved Plan: The Struggles to Avoid a Doomed End

CHAPTER 00: PROLOGUE

(I can’t believe it! I, I can’t be Sophia!)

Sophia Glastona held her head and screamed. Her doctor and maid, who were by the bedside, and Orion, who had been by her side as her bodyguard since Sophia was taken in by the king, were shocked.

They all looked worried, wondering if she was alright after falling down in the garden, but the person in question didn’t notice at all and started rolling around on the bed with her head in her hands.

(Impossible! Impossible, impossible! I’m not the villain’s daughter!)

When Sophia finally woke up after passing out in the garden, the physician almost burst into tears at Sophia’s strange behavior. Even though she was a concubine’s daughter, she was the second princess of this country of Glastona, and if something were to happen to her, he might be disposed of.

Orion was the first to recover as the physician turned pale and began to tremble. He put his hand on his chin, looked at Sophia, who was still lying on the bed, and said to the doctor and the maid.

“She’ll probably calm down after a while. I’ll watch over her.”

He spoke in a slightly high-pitched voice for a man and smiled, and the doctor and maid jumped on board. If something were to happen to the princess while they were here, they would be held responsible. They wanted to put the blame on Orion and quickly leave.

When the two ran away saying, “I’ll leave it to you!”, Orion stared at Sophia, then asked:

“Do you perhaps have memories of your previous life?”

Suddenly, Sophia stopped rolling around on the bed.

* * *

Sophia Glastona was the daughter of the King of Glastona, but she grew up in the city until she was fourteen. Her mother was once a maid who worked in the castle, and the queen found out that she was having an affair with the king. So she was kicked out of the castle, but at that time she was already pregnant with Sophia.

Her mother did not tell the king, and she gave birth to Sophia and raised her in secret. Therefore, even Sophia herself did not know that she was the king’s daughter. However, when Sophia was 14 years old, her mother passed away due to illness, and the king’s messenger, Duke Randall Voltio, suddenly arrived. The young red-haired duke, who inherited the title at the young age of twenty-one, coldly narrowed his hazel eyes and said simply.

“His Majesty asked me to bring you with me. Please follow quietly.”

Randall was the son of the king’s younger brother, and the king was his uncle. Naturally, Sophia became his cousin, but there was not a single ounce of affection in his eyes. Apparently, her mother had written a letter to the king just before she took her last breath. So the king learned that Sophia was his daughter and decided to take her in.

“Let me tell you, I don’t believe you are His Majesty’s daughter. If you intend to deceive His Majesty, I will execute you immediately, so act with the consequences in mind.”

These were harsh words to say to a fourteen-year-old girl who had just lost her mother. Sophia immediately began to dislike Randall, and she cried, “I’m not going!”, but he was indifferent. He forced Sophia into the carriage and took her to the castle.

From there, Sophia’s hell began. The king welcomed Sophia, but neither the queen nor any of her children welcomed her. The queen hated her husband’s illegitimate children, and her children followed suit, bullying Sophia. Her older sister Keira, who was born a few months apart from Sophia, hated Sophia in particular. Acting as a clean freak, she looked at Sophia as if she were dirty and showed rejection if Sophia was near.

One day, Sophia collapsed in the garden.

It had been three months since she came to the castle, and Sophia, still not used to life here, was reading a book alone in the garden. Her father gave her a bodyguard, Orion, but he simply served as an escort and didn’t interfere much with his master. When she said she would read a book in the garden, he would sit quietly at a distance.

If Orion had been closer to Sophia, she wouldn’t have ended up like this.

While Sophia was reading her book, Keira happened to appear in the garden. Keira spotted Sophia, and as soon as she saw her, her sky-blue eyes narrowed in displeasure and she commanded the maid beside her.

“Please get rid of those common people over there, it’s disgusting.”

When the voice reached Sophia, she let out a sigh and got up from the bench. She wanted to avoid trouble. ‘Let’s give up reading in the garden and go back to the room,’ she thought. However…

Keira’s three maids surrounded Sophia as she tried to leave. Like Keira, they thought of Sophia as a “dirty commoner”.

“Hey, the bench over there is a bit dirty. Please clean it up.”

One of the maids said and Sophia frowned at her. She was just sitting on the bench, that made it dirty, etc. –From an aristocrat’s perspective, was everything touched by commoners “dirty”? Unable to remain silent, Sophia opened her mouth.

“I was just sitting there, I don’t remember getting it dirty.”

She probably didn’t think Sophia would talk back, so the maid blushed, grabbed Sophia by the head, and shoved her with all her might toward the bench… That was bad.

When Sophia lived in the city, she always wore flat shoes. Her heeled shoes were not yet broken in, and as soon as her maid pushed her, she lost her balance and banged her head against the corner of the bench.

“Princess Sophia!”

As expected, Orion rushed over in a hurry, but Sophia must have been hit in a bad position, and she lost consciousness.

* * *

Sophia was in the worst mood when she woke up. One could call it panic. When Sophia regained consciousness in her bed after passing out in the garden, she had “remembered” things.

Remember what? Memories of her previous life.

Before Sophia was born into this world as Sophia, she lived in a different world. She couldn’t remember the cause of her death, but it appeared that Sophia, who died at the age of seventeen, was reincarnated into this world.

(It’s too bad…!)

Sophia, who regained her memories of 17 years from her previous life, learned what this world was all about. Yes, this was definitely the world of the otome game “The Snows of Glastona” that Sophia loved so much in her previous life. And Sophia Glastona, was the villainess in that game.

In the game, Sophia was taken in by the king at the age of 14, and she grew up to be a perverse person, unable to adapt to life in the castle. Thus, she began to plot to take down the heroine, her half-sister Keira. She didn’t think anything of it when she was playing the game, but when she actually became Sophia, she thought she was really being silly.

Sophia, who was oppressed because she was born from a concubine, was the villainess, and Keira, who was raised without any inconvenience, was the heroine. In the game, Sophia’s twisted background was not detailed, but she had been through a lot in the past three months since she was taken to the castle. No wonder Sophia was so perverse.

(It’s the worst, the worst, the w~or~st~!)

In the game, Sophia was usually exiled or sent to a monastery, no matter who the heroine was conquering. If things continued like this, Sophia’s future would be hell.

(What should I do!)

Sophia was lying on the bed with her head in her hands when she suddenly heard an extremely calm voice.

“Do you perhaps have memories of your previous life?”

Translator Note:
Hey there! Did you know this story? I was so sad when it was dropped but since it was so good translated and the last chapter was 93 if I’m not wrong… well, I wasn’t sure to pick it up or not. In the end, thanks to Bree’s advice I decided to translate it. I’m not sure if I can do a job as good as the other group but I will try my best!!
