Chapter 4 : The Villain’s Bride (2)
I knew that if someone proposed to me, he would offer me a ring, but I did not expect to receive the proposal at the point of a sword.
If a person is very crazy, his hair will turn white. I didn’t say anything for a moment, then finally came to my senses.
“You want to get married…why all of a sudden?”
“Didn’t you recommend adoption?Adoption is not possible when the family consists of only one parent, this is the law of the state.”
I would have thought that the worldview of adoption in this novel would have taken the same context as the modern world….
“You are currently the strongest person, so can’t you not just follow the law?”
“As a person with the highest authority, i should better obey the law. I do not use my power unfairly.”
But it’s unfair to try to kill me.
“Then, when do you plan on getting a divorce?”
“If the curse is removed, I will divorce you, and I will take care of the maintenance sufficient for you to use for the rest of your life.”
Well, since we’re getting married he won’t be able to kill me carelessly. And did you know? I might suddenly be back in my world again.
“Good. I will marry you.”
“Since the marriage is only on paper, we will sleep in separate rooms.”
“That’s what i hoped for too.”
“Okay, we have to hurry up and get married. I need to get Kian back soon.”
“In order to hold a wedding, we must obtain the king’s approval. It will take a few days before we get approval.”
“If you’re late, you won’t be able to bring Kian! Within three days you must be able to bring Kian or else Raidoux will take him first!”
“Until then we can’t hold the wedding. Even if we aren’t able to hold the ceremony by then, I can bring the baby first, so there’s no need to rush.”
“If things go wrong, I’m not responsible, promise me you’ll release me then.”
“I promise.”
I was more worried because it seemed easier than I thought. For some reason, I had a terrifying thought that if Raidoux took Kian away that day, Sikar might have to kill him to bring him back.
“But didn’t you say that you would use words of honor when you call me?”
Of course, I did that yesterday.
But since I saved my life anyway, this is my last bit of pride.
It was unfair to be treated unilaterally like this, but I couldn’t even say honorable words to a child younger than me.
“I am five years older than you…If you want me to use honorific words, you must treat me the same way.”
Contrary to my feelings, my voice was getting smaller and smaller.
Fortunately, she secretly sighed when Sekar’s expression looked like he was not displeased.
“In the world you live in, age comes first, but this world is different, you know that right?”
“Ah, I know.”
“Since we will be a couple now, in the future, you should always treat me with respect where people are. And also don’t forget to use the word ‘dear’ if necessary.”
When the word “dear” came out of Sekar’s mouth, she looked embarrassed, as if the word “be happy” had come out of the devil’s mouth.
If I didn’t want to die then I had to accept his proposal, so I had no other choice.
“But when you propose marriage to someone, you carry something that looks like a ring, not a sword.”
After my words, Sikar crossed his arms and looked at me with a gloomy expression.
“You mean the shackles?”
“Let’s not talk about it.”
Anyway, I promised Sikar that I would not run away and become his bride, but he apparently didn’t trust my words, so his right-hand knight, Dorion, had his eye on me until the wedding.
However, I didn’t lose hope.
However, the miracle of suddenly returning to my world did not happen over the course of several days. So I had no choice but to marry Sikar in the end.
***
The wedding took place in a modest manner with only some people from the duke’s household present.
The reason the ceremony went this way was because I was suffering from Agora Syndrome, but the bigger reason was because an entity had to be brought in once the ceremony was over.
- Agora Syndrome: A type of psychological disorder and feeling of anxiety that includes fear of places or situations that may cause panic and a feeling of being trapped, helpless, or embarrassed, and avoiding them. You may be afraid of an actual or about-to-occur situation. Examples of this include fear of using public transportation, being in open or closed places, standing in line, or being in a crowd of people.
Even when we kissed at the end of the wedding, we pretended to kiss and finished the bloody wedding safely.
Grandma came back with dementia and couldn’t even see our wedding, so she had to go straight to the temple for treatment.
We didn’t even take off our clothes and climbed into the carriage to get Kian.
If others saw this, it might look like we were going on a honeymoon right away, but in reality, the goal was to bring Kian quickly.
Now kian should be in the house I stayed in on my first day here. Today, Kian, who no longer has food to eat, wanders outside due to hunger and collapses miserably in an alley.
The heroine’s father, the Marquis Raidoux, finds him and brings Kian to care for him.
The hero, Kian, admires the warm heart of Marquis Raidoux and falls in love with his daughter, Lucy, who takes his heart away.
So we had to go get the fallen Kian before Marquis Raydoux found him.
<The snow was falling so thick on my head that I could not see an inch in front of me. The snow had accumulated enough to eat away at Little Kian’s waist, making it impossible to find his father’s body. As if upset by the heavy snowfall all night, Kian took out his anger and looked up at the sky, but the world was just a white sheet of paper. It was horrific for a five-year-old to go through. The greatest father in the world was killed by soldiers sent by the king. The only person he can rely on is his mother, but after a few years, his mother eventually abandons him. There is nothing left for a seven-year-old child.>
Sikar was holding my hand and reading the novel in my memory. Then he let go of my hand, indicating that he had gotten the answer he wanted.
“It’s not funny that Raydoux is the father of the main character. I wonder what kind of face Raydoux would make if he knew he was a character in a novel.”
Thinking about it, Sikar must have been a bit stunned after finding out that this place was a novel, but it seemed so casual, right?
“By the way, are you okay?”
“What?”
“You know that this place is a novel. Moreover, you are not the main character but the villain…”
“What’s the point of that? In the world you were in this would be a novel, but to me this is the world.”
He is evil, but he has a strong mentality.
“You seem to be doing well, although it must be difficult for you to adapt to a world so different from the one you were in.”
Do I seem to be coping well now? Don’t you see that I’m forced to adapt because my life is threatened? Anyway, if I were you, I would have been very upset, but Sikar was looking out of the carriage with a very calm expression.
The wind blew on the cart, and his hair stirred.
The reason why this handsome man had no choice but to become evil was because of the many betrayals he had endured.
The deposed king betrayed Sikar’s parents, and Sikar got rid of the deposed king who killed his parents and placed Gillian on the throne.
However, he did not trust Gillian completely because he saw his father being betrayed by his master whom he trusted.
When she remembered the reason why Sekar, who was only 22 years old, had no choice but to distrust people, he seemed a little pathetic.
Am I overwhelmed with emotions because of the novel?
Suddenly Sekar turned his head and our eyes met.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Oh, this…”
At that moment, it dawned on me that I was still wearing that heavy crown.
“To ask if I can take off the crown on my head. This is heavy…”
“Since the wedding is over, it doesn’t matter if you take it off.”
“Then I’ll take it off.”
I thought I could pretend and take it off at once, but the crown got tangled in my hair and didn’t come off properly.
While I was struggling to take off the crown properly, I heard the sound of Sikar’s long sigh.
“Before taking it off, you should remove your hair that is tangled in it.”
“This…is my first time using it so I had no idea.”
“Stay still. I’ll take it off.”
He said he would take it off, so I knew he would take it off well.
If I had known he was going to remove my scalp along with the crown, I would have taken it off myself instead.
“Omg! Scalp me!”
“It’s almost over so stay still.”
“T-the top of my head! It feels like all the hair on the top of my head is being pulled out!”
“I have finished.”
“…..? Are you done?”
“I’m already done now.”
And only after he said it was over a few times, the crown fell off my head completely.
“Your hair is short so it was simple to take it off.”
“What? It’s simple to take it off? You almost made me bald!”
“Your hair is messy, you should take care of it before we arrive.”
I looked at myself through the carriage window to arrange my hair.
And in the reflective glass window, I saw a woman who looked like a beggar with disheveled hair.
Sikar looked at me and raised one corner of his mouth.
Since he was clearly born in the novel and is described as never smiling, I was amazed by his expression.
“Are you laughing at me now?”
“No way. I just laughed at a beggar woman.”
Sikar snorted, turned his head and looked out the window. He would never laugh because of his personality.
***
It didn’t take long to enter the farm in the village.
Fortunately, on the road where the snow had subsided, I could see Kian bringing water as I mentioned.
Seeing baby Kian who was seven years old made my nose run cold for no reason.
He was the main character in a novel to which I devoted so much affection, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the novel.
We looking ar Kian quietly. As if he was waiting, Sikar got off the carriage and picked up Kian who was lying as if dead.
His little body was cold and hungry, and even the bucket he had just carried had made his body wet.
Water came down from Kian’s body.
“What are you doing? Take off your coat and wrap the baby in your lap.”
Sikar finally took off his coat and wrapped his arms around him, it looked very comfortable.
“This is annoying.”
He was originally boiling from a fever.
Sikar who was holding Kian in embarrassment, lazily grabbed my hand to read again.
