The Tyrant Mistook Me for a Companion

TMMC Chapter 103

Chapter 103:

“I’m sorry. I haven’t… I don’t think the Doctor has come yet.”

Hessen looked troubled at the butler’s words.

“Then we’re in a hurry, so we should at least sign a contract…”

“Bu, butler! The Doctor is here!”

“Are you sure?”

The butler’s face was glowing. He quickly opened the front door.
A man wearing a cloak strode into the mansion.
Dripping. Rain water soiled the floor.

“… Are you sure you’re a Doctor?”

“Please understand that my clothes are like this because it’s raining and I’m rushing.”

Hessen heard the Doctor’s voice and quickly approached him and grabbed his arm.

“Come here quickly. The lady is not feeling well.”

“Yes Yes. Come on. It’s difficult when people get sick here.”

The butler stamped his feet.
Nothing should happen until the owner comes to his senses.
Leon went to the guest room with a little quick step.
He was taken to bed and he could see Elle wheezing. His heart thumped.

‘Is it too much?’

He shouldn’t have just sent her first.
Leon chewed his lips and examined Elle’s body.

“Huh?”

There was nothing wrong. Rather, it is absorbing my mana.
Leon slipped away from Elle’s body.

“She will be fine now. It looks like she have a cold, so she just need to rest..”

“Oh…! I’m glad!”

The butler swept down his chest. Elle glanced at his reaction and saw Leon.
It was a look that was trying to talk about something.

‘I think there’s something in this house, so she’s telling me to look for it.’

Leon, who understood perfectly, got up from his seat.

“Are you going already? If not, can you please take a look at our master as well”

What a luck.
Elle called joy to herself at the butler’s words.

‘Leon will know something if he meet him in person and use his skills.’

It would be nice if it could be easily solved.
I wanted to get something worthwhile and get out of this place.

“Yes, sir.”

Leon followed the butler with a light nod.
There was nothing unusual about the way upstairs to the master’s room. It was just a pillar, decorated with quite expensive items.
When the door opened and they went to the bed where Viroid was lying, he saw him suffering.

“Is he still like this?”

“Yes, I think he’s a little distracted…maybe it was raining too much and he caught a cold?”

“Certainly high fever.”

Leon reached out and lightly swept his forehead.
Then, like a lie, Viroid’s face became comfortable.

“He’ll wake up soon. May I ask you for some tea for my thirst?”

“Yes, sir.”

The butler left the room quickly.
Viroid opened his eyes with his refreshed body.
When he saw Leon staring down at him, he was strangely afraid.

“Who are you?”

“Oh, I’m a Doctor. I came here because the butler asked me to look at you.”

“… Why am I home?”

Viroid didn’t remember anything.
His memories were clear only as he went through the rain to the pub.
Surprised, he searched hard in his brain, but nothing came out.

“Damn!”

“Is there a problem?”

“Oh, it’s nothing, so get out of my house now.”

“I don’t think it’s going to be easy to go out, and I’d like to talk to you.”

Leon took off his cloak and smiled.

“What?”

When Viroid faced red eyes, his whole body became weak.

“Did you put this up for auction?”

“…How can that be here. Has it not been sold? I am asked to…”

Viroid muttered and tilted his head.

“I can’t believe the smell of trash vibrated.”

Leon asked, putting the jewelry back in his arms.

“Did you sell the rest?”

“No, it happened by chance…I haven’t seen anything else.”

“You sold your house. What does it have to do with the auction?”

“It’s because I’m afraid I’ll be killed by a member of the rumoured Rubion family….”

Viroid shook his body.
It was hard to breathe due to the strong force that kept repressing him.

“That’s why I’m going to run away.”

“…You got it by accident.”

Leon was steaming. Neither the host nor Viroid knew anything well.

“Oh, Lord! Viroid”

The butler came up with the tea and shouted.

“Are you awake? I was really worried.”

He pulled his ability with the butler approaching Viroid’s side almost crying.

“Oh, what? Butler?”

Viroid woke up from his dazed mind and shook his head vigorously.

“I have a terrible headache.”

“The doctor has treated you, so you’ll be fine. There’s a customer waiting downstairs now.”

“…What do you mean a customer?”

Viroid’s face turned into nervousness.

“You brought people into the mansion without my permission!”

“Well, that was unavoidable. She was the benefactor who saved you.”

“What does that mean?”

He got up from his seat clutching his head.
The rare memory of falling in the rain passed him.

“That…”

“More than that, she heard that the house was sold to a broker. She said she liked it and wanted to sign a contract right away.”

“…Right now?”

“I have more to tell you than that.”

The butler whispered in Viroid’s ear.

“They say the item has been sold. They said he would pay Thirthy million gold.”

“…Thirthy million gold? Who?”

“That’s… Sir Viroid is the buyer.”

Viroid jumped in surprise at the butler’s words.

“No way!”

He couldn’t have bought the item that he asked to sell for such a large amount of money without going crazy.
The host was unaware that Viroid was the seller.
However, there is always a memorandum or stage to reveal who the salesperson is.

‘What is this…’

If he doesn’t pay, the host won’t stay put.
He was so vicious that no one knew about him.
Contracts were a life in the black market. If you don’t keep them, it was like giving up your neck.
Viroid, contemplated, scoured the bed and his surroundings.

‘No. Then who was impersonating me?’

The invitation was missing, so there was a possibility.

“Did you say the people who saved me were downstairs?”

“Yes, they’re waiting.”

“Guide me right away.”

He had no choice now. He had to sell this mansion at a high price and pay for the jewelry.
Leon looked at Viroid still.
When he followed him down, Elle was out.

“I heard you saved me.”

“I came to sign a house contract and somehow saved your life.”

Viroid swallowed dry saliva at the natural lower voice.
Must be noble besides, if she have red hair….

“It is an honor to hear that you like our house, which is lacking in this way. Aren’t you, Elle Natasia from the Velois family?”

Oh, I can’t believe you noticed me right away.
Well, I wasn’t wearing a cape now, so my red hair would have been exposed.

“I want to buy this place. Is there any conditions?”

“If it’s a condition…”

“I was stop at the door, went through the rain to find you, and even caught a cold, right?”

“…There are no other conditions.”

Viroid laughed awkwardly.
If he say something wrong here, he don’t know what charges he’s going to be put on.
Isn’t it the infamous Velois family.
So Biroid was going to end it with a strong price. He was in a hurry.

“Are you going to sign a contract right away?”

“Well, I like it. I have to hurry in, too.”

“Luckily, the schedule will be just right. It’ll be empty the day after tomorrow.”

Viroid smiled and nodded to the butler.
Maybe he’s asking him to bring the contract.

“It’s nice that we can communicate well.”

Elle stared at the contract the butler brought.
Viroid used to spend the money.

“I’ll leave the architecture, the management and everything inside. It’s a very good deal at this price.”

“…Thirthy million gold?”

Elle tapped the contract with her hand and took a step closer to Viroid.

“At this price, you’ll have to go out tomorrow.”

“My, you mean tomorrow?”

“Yes. Tomorrow, you must think that I do not know the price of water because I am on the outskirts.”

Elle closed her eyes and smiled as she put her face close.

“Sir Hessen, what is the estimate of the house price of this mansion, plus the ornaments which were inside?”

“If you’re generous, it’s 10 million gold.”

“He say so, but you asked me for three times the price.”

“…Isn’t a house up to the seller!”

Biroid had nowhere to back down.
It had to be that price.
Elle already knew how much the jewelry was sold at auction. So she knew why Viroid insisted on that price.

“I’ll buy your house for thirthy million gold, on the condition that you’re out tomorrow.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, I quite like this place.”

At Elle’s words, Biroid’s face spread out.

“Well, then, please sign here. Maybe Count Edgar knows…”

“Don’t worry about that. I’m signing with my own money.”

“…What?”

“Didn’t you hear me? I’m buying my own house.”

When Elle finished saying that, he immediately signed the contract.

“Well, then I’ll leave now, for I’ll have to pack.”

Viroid also had a headache for a while.
He doesn’t have enough time to move if he doesn’t start now, he has to be out by tomorrow.
He couldn’t help it as long as he had already signed the contract.

“Damn…”

He looked blankly at Elle’s back as she exited the mansion.

  1. Cathe says:

Damn… how nice to be able to buy an amazing house with your own money.
I feel sorry for Birod/Viroid… he has no idea what’s going on and just trying to save his own neck while people use him and throw problems at his lap.
