They didn’t go to the hospital. Instead, they returned to Alhandra’s residence on Snow Star. With the treatment cabin, most injuries caused by violence or external factors could be quickly treated.
In interstellar society, aside from families that couldn’t afford a healing cabin or rare illnesses that healing cabins couldn’t cure, it was now uncommon for Zerg to visit hospitals.
All of Alhandra’s residences and temporary lodgings were equipped with a healing cabin.
In the treatment room, Quan Yi took Wei’an to his side and covered his eyes before taking off his clothes.
Wei’an, whose eyes were now covered, grabbed onto his hand with both of his small hands, his soft little voice full of confusion, “Brother?”
“Don’t move.”
Quan Yi’s calm voice reached him. Obediently, Wei’an stayed still, his long eyelashes brushing against Quan Yi’s palm, tickling him slightly.
Shang You, Shang Yan, Krillochuan, and the others were directly taken out by their respective male fathers.
Quan Yi glanced at Papar Xing and signaled him to go out. After all, there was a gender difference between them.
Papar Xing smiled with narrowed eyes. Not only did he refuse to leave, but he also found a spot to sit down comfortably.
Seeing that he refused to go out, Quan Yi looked away indifferently. With one hand covering Wei’an’s eyes, he used the other to tear off his clothes. His muscular and explosive physique was exposed, but what drew more attention than his build was the large expanse of untreated, gruesome wounds on his back.
The wounds were deep, almost to the bone, and the exposed, ragged flesh at the edges had begun to pale. It was evident that aside from the most basic bleeding control, no other treatment had been applied.
“This is what you meant by ‘treated’?” Papar Xing couldn’t help but ask.
Quan Yi gave him a sidelong glance but didn’t reply.
Alhandra adjusted the healing cabin according to the severity of Quan Yi’s injuries. Taking over the task of covering Wei’an’s eyes, Alhandra shoved Quan Yi into the cabin to soak.
Once Quan Yi lay down in the cabin, Alhandra released Wei’an’s eyes.
Seeing his brother obediently lying in the healing cabin, Wei’an nodded with satisfaction. He placed his small hands on the cabin’s transparent cover and patted it gently. “Brother, please get well soon, okay?”
Quan Yi looked at the little face pressed against the cabin’s lid, squished and distorted, and gave a faint nod.
Satisfied with his brother’s response, Wei’an followed his male father out. As soon as they left the room, his male father was called aside by the female father, who said there was something to discuss.
Wei’an leaned on the door frame and pouted as he watched the two of them walk into the study and close the door.
Is there any little secret they want to hide from Wei’an?
“Shang You, do your female father and male father also keep secrets from you often?” he curiously ran downstairs to ask his friend.
“I don’t know,” Shang You replied nonchalantly, shaking his head as he focused on the model piece in his hand, trying to figure out where it fits.
Wei’an looked at his other friends. Krillochuan and the others all shook their heads. They weren’t as clingy to their male fathers as Wei’an was and didn’t care if they had secrets.
“Okay.” Without getting an answer, Wei’an joined in assembling the latest mecha model.
Chu Yi crouched nearby, observing their process of assembling the mecha model with great interest.
In the living room, Quan Yan and the others sat on the sofa reading and chatting about various topics.
Upstairs, the scene made Alhandra feel as if he had returned to the last time Quan Chu came to him. Sitting in his chair with a headache, he helplessly looked at Quan Chu, who stood upright despite wearing casual clothes.
“Speak, what’s the matter this time?”
Quan Chu didn’t respond. Instead, he placed a box of bone jade on the table. “If I’m not mistaken, you’ll find this quite necessary.”
Alhandra frowned, sitting up straight in his chair. His gaze turned unreadable as he looked at Quan Chu. “You went to the Star Beast Domain too?”
“Yeah.”
Seeing Quan Chu act as though this was perfectly normal, the anger Alhandra had been suppressing since seeing Quan Yi suddenly flared up.
In a few steps, he approached and pressed down on the back of Quan Chu’s head, forcing him to meet his gaze. “Do you realize your position? The responsibilities on your shoulders? As a general, recklessly venturing into the Star Beast Domain, do you really think that’s a place you can come and go as you please?”
Quan Chu looked at the anger burning in Alhandra’s eyes and unexpectedly laughed. Stepping closer, he pressed his forehead against Alhandra’s, his dark red eyes locking onto Alhandra’s angry eyes. “Alhandra, my male lord, what are you angry about?”
His usually resolute and stern expression now wore a wicked expression.
Alhandra was stunned. Seeing him like this, he felt a sense of absurdity in his heart, “?”
His stunned look was so similar to Wei’an!
As this thought crossed Quan Chu’s mind, the anger in his heart dissipated. He took a step back, putting distance between them, and spoke in a calm but repressed tone. “Are female zergs really so fragile and untrustworthy in the eyes of you males? ”
“So much so that from the moment we hatch, you raise us in a web of lies with your words and our living environment?”
“You make us loathe the distorted societal values of the Zerg, blindly believe in the arrogance, cruelty, and brutality of male Zergs, and feel nothing but revulsion for you, aside from the instinctual urge to protect written into our genes.”
“Do you male Zergs really enjoy being despised so much?”
A hint of vulnerability and discomfort flashed through Quan Chu’s dark red eyes. “Alhandra, your lives are too heavy for us to bear!”
Ha!
The sudden vulnerability, self-blame, and embarrassment in the eyes of Quan Chu, who had always been confident, calm, and proud, almost made Alhandra’s already overwhelmed back bend.
Forcing himself to hold on, he grabbed Quan Chu’s cheeks, scrutinizing him. His tone was harsh but carried a teasing undertone. “Where did you get these half-baked ideas that turned you into this?”
“And who gave you the right to call your male lord by name?”
His fingers trailed from Quan Chu’s eyes down to his neck, then to the edge of his lips. With a domineering mix of aggression and intimacy, he pried open Quan Chu’s lips, teasing the tip of his tongue.
His voice was low and filled with deep desire as he leaned close to Quan Chu’s ear. “You came all the way here from the military star—surely it wasn’t just to talk about these random things?”
Leaning closer, he whispered, “Did you miss me?”
Quan Chu frowned. He had come this time to clarify some matters and explain to Alhandra, intending to tell him not to soothe the Zerg source for him anymore. However, he hadn’t expected Alhandra to face these issues with an evasive attitude, acting as if denying the truth would make it go away.
“Male lord, uh…”
As soon as he spoke, Alhandra efficiently silenced him with a kiss. With practiced fingers, Alhandra undid his belt, turned him around, and pressed him against the desk. Alhandra’s voice was low and full of desire. “You haven’t fulfilled your duties in a long time, my female lord.”
Downstairs, Wei’an occasionally glanced toward the study door before standing up and heading upstairs. Halfway up, Quan Yan grabbed him by the collar and lifted him. “Where are you planning to go?”
Wei’an swung his dangling legs and looked up at his brother. “Wei’an is going to find the female father!”
He hadn’t seen the female father in a long time.
Quan Yan recalled the earlier message from the male father asking him to take good care of Wei’an tonight. Helpless, he cradled Wei’an in his arms. “Your female father and male father are very busy tonight. You’ll have to sleep with me instead.”
In his brother’s arms, Wei’an tilted his head, thought about it, and decided sleeping with his brother was fine. He nodded in agreement.
In the treatment room, Quan Yi, feeling that his injuries had mostly healed, opened the treatment cabin and sat up. He was startled to see another Zerg sitting across from him.
Papar Xing smiled and raised his hand to wave, and with a hidden threat in his words, “If you come out before the time is up, Wei’an will cry if he finds out.”
“…”
Quan Yi silently lay back down.
Seeing him obediently return to the cabin, Papar Xing stood up and sat next to the treatment cabin, “I knew you wouldn’t stay in the treatment cabin for long enough.”
Quan Yi closed his eyes, embracing the virtue of silence.
Papar Xing didn’t care that he didn’t answer, “This time, you went to the Star Beast Territory and collected so much bone jade. Surely it wasn’t just for Wei’an, was it?”
“Let me guess, was it for me?”
As soon as the words left his mouth, Quan Yi opened his eyes. He stared coldly at the young male Zerg before him, who was too clever for his own good, and spat out two words: “It wasn’t.”
“If I’m not mistaken,” the Zerg continued with a smile, “besides Wei’an, you noticed that we’ve been secretly researching EY materials and needed bone jade. That’s why you brought back so much. After all, Wei’an, as young as he is, wouldn’t need that much bone jade.”
Quan Yi’s silence was his tacit admission.
Seeing that he didn’t speak, Papar Xing simply lay on the hatch of the treatment cabin and looked at him carefully, saying to himself, “They must have picked you silent military females to handle this kind of thing because they know they can’t hide much from females like you who secretly protects the male Zergs.”
Under the young male’s unwavering gaze, Quan Yi turned his head away, avoiding eye contact. Unexpectedly, the Papar Xing suddenly said, “See? I was right. Besides Wei’an, you’re doing it for me. I’m also a male Zerg. Everything you do for male Zerg is for me, isn’t it? Do you have a crush on me? Do you want to be my female lord?”
What!
Caught off guard, Quan Yi choked on his breath, coughing violently. The pain tugged at his back injury, and his brows furrowed involuntarily.
Realizing he’d taken the teasing too far, Papar Xing quickly opened the cabin and helped Quan Yi sit up, patting his chest to ease his breathing while smiling sheepishly. “You really can’t take a joke.”
————-
Wei’an was delighted to sleep with his brother for the first time. While waiting for Quan Yan to finish his bath, Wei’an curled himself into a little ball and rolled around the bed.
When Quan Yan returned and saw Wei’an tumbling about, he scooped him up and tossed him into the air. Wei’an let out a surprised yelp before being caught safely in his brother’s arms.
Wei’an giggled uncontrollably. “Brother, more!”
With a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, Quan Yan tossed him up a few more times. He only stopped because he was worried Wei’an might get too warm and sweat.
After playing, Wei’an snuggled into his brother’s arms and sniffed him. Suddenly, he said, “Brother smells different from male father.”
Quan Yan raised an eyebrow, teasing him. “Which scent does Wei’an like better?”
“I like it all!” Wei’an replied earnestly after a moment of thought.
“Why are you so smart at this time?” Quan Yan said, pinching Wei’an’s chubby cheeks, his eyes filled with affection.
“I’m always smart!” Wei’an, who was playing with his brother’s big hand, poked his palm unconvinced.
“Yes, yes, very smart,” Quan Yan said, catching his little hand and finally hugging Wei’an to sleep as he had wished. Resting his chin on Wei’an’s head, he lazily murmured, “It’s late. Go to sleep.”
Still too awake to sleep, Wei’an looked up at him. “Brother, sing me to sleep.”
“Alright,” Quan Yan agreed indulgently. He searched his mind for a lullaby and started singing one that Wei’an had loved as a child.
Wei’an lay quietly in his arms, listening intently. After a while, confusion flickered in his eyes. “Brother?”
He spoke up. “That’s not how male father sings it.”
Quan Yan paused, then covered Wei’an’s eyes with his hand. “This song has two versions. I’m singing the other one. Now sleep.”
Quan Yan, the galaxy-wide superstar, had a secret: he was a hopelessly off-key singer. Even his agent didn’t know this because he never sang in front of others.
Quan Yan sighed inwardly. He had chosen such an obscure song, yet Wei’an still caught on.
He sang a little longer, but eventually, Wei’an couldn’t stand it anymore. He raised his little hand to cover Quan Yan’s mouth and said sincerely, “Brother, let Wei’an put you to sleep!”
After saying this, Wei’an began patting his brother’s chest with his little hand and with his milky voice sang a lullaby.
Surprisingly, Wei’an’s lullaby was highly effective. Quan Yan, initially doubting his own singing abilities, drifted off to sleep under Wei’an’s tender voice.
After discovering that his brother was asleep, Wei’an helplessly shook his little head, he automatically found a comfortable position and nestled in his brother’s arms, patting his own chest rhythmically with his little fleshy hands to coax himself to sleep.
Ahhhhhhh!!!!! This child is too good
