Yao Yu, who still had matters to attend to, teased Wei’an for a bit before hurriedly leaving. After saying goodbye, Wei’an continued on his journey to find his brother.
With his short Zerg legs, Wei’an searched for a long time but couldn’t find him. Eventually, he ran to a nearby military female stationed on guard, tugged at his pant leg, and looked up to ask, “Uncle, where are the brothers~?”
The military female, whose pant leg was being tugged, stood stiffly, not daring to move.Under that rough, strong female face is a soul spinning in excitement.
A male cub tugged at his pants! He’s going to take these pants off and preserve them properly as soon as he gets home.
He was so excited that he didn’t hear what Wei’an had said.
Wei’an’s big eyes were filled with confusion and doubt. “Why is Uncle ignoring Wei’an~?”
The military female standing next to him, also on guard, slapped his daydreaming comrade on the head, taking the chance to vent his frustration over the fact that the male cub went to his colleague and not him. He quickly squatted down, trying to soften his expression. “He’s not ignoring you. Your brothers are over at the mech battleground. Do you want to go find them?”
“Yes~” Wei’an clasped his hands together in front of him, nodding, looking so well-behaved.
The military female, doing his best to suppress his excitement, immediately called over another military female who was off duty. “Take him over to the mech battleground,” he instructed before looking down at the little male cub by his feet. “Remember to stay close to this uncle.”
“Yeah, I know~”
After Wei’an left, the military female who had been working hard to maintain his composure suddenly clutched his chest with a pained expression. If he hadn’t been on duty, he definitely, definitely wouldn’t have given up the chance to spend time with a little male cub.
What a heartbreaking situation for a strong female!
Meanwhile, Wei’an was huffing and puffing as he tried to keep up with the military female in front of him. When he couldn’t keep up any longer, he bent down, hands on his knees, and called out in a soft, childish voice, “Uncle, walk slower, Wei’an can’t keep up~”
Gu Ci heard the soft voice of the little male cub and turned around to see that the originally white and tender little male cub was standing there with a red face, holding up his legs and panting.
His gaze fell on the cub’s short legs, which weren’t even as long as his forearm, and he felt a twinge of regret. How could he have been so careless? Of course, legs that short couldn’t keep up with his pace.
He crouched down in front of Wei’an, looking him in the eyes for a while before tentatively opening his arms. “Do you want me to carry you?”
Wei’an stepped forward and threw himself into his arms. “Yes~”
Holding the little male cub, Gu Ci’s gaze drifted, and even his walking became cautious. He almost forgot how to take a step.
Are all cubs this soft? Or is it just this little male cub?
If he had a male cub, would he be even cuter than him?
Still single, his thoughts wandered aimlessly to things far beyond his current reality.
As Gu Ci walked with Wei’an in his arms, the military females who witnessed the scene felt a wave of jealousy wash over them.
The military female still on guard, upon hearing that little Wei’an had allowed Gu Ci to carry him, was immediately so frustrated that he pounded the ground and silently screamed in his heart.
Curse this shift! Give me back my soft little male cub!
On the planet Femir, there was a designated area set aside for mech battles.
As Gu Ci carried Wei’an to the edge, they could see in the middle of the field the enormous battle between a ferocious beast mech and a humanoid mech taking place high in the sky.
The massive, pitch-black mechs clashing in the sky kicked up clouds of smoke so thick they seemed to block out the sun and moon. “Boom, boom, boom!” The sound of the cannons was far more terrifying than thunder. The fierce battle between the two mechs was overwhelming and dangerous, stirring the hearts of all who saw it, making the Zerg watching feel so excited that they wished they could join the fight themselves.
It must be said that mechs are something no intelligent being with a fighting spirit can resist.
Wei’an, who was startled by the huge collision, stretched out his little hands to cover his ears, his blue eyes widening.
Quan Fan, who noticed Wei’an, furrowed his brows slightly, and walked over. He had deliberately not brought Wei’an here because he was afraid the intense battle would frighten him.
But he hadn’t expected Wei’an to find his way here on his own.
Wei’an, who had never seen such a scene before, opened his mouth wide and didn’t even notice that the brother he was looking for came over.
The battle in the sky grew fiercer, with the sounds of collisions and cannon fire intertwining. The swift movements of the mechs made it hard for the Zerg watching to keep track, and if they looked away for even a second, they might lose sight of who was who.
Mesmerized, Wei’an didn’t notice that Gu Ci had already handed him over to Quan Fan.
Holding his little brother, Quan Fan found a spot with a good view and began watching the battle in the sky, his eyes unblinking. He had just begun learning about mechas.
Mechas were created hundreds of years ago by humans to compensate for their physical weaknesses. They are powerful and highly destructive, perfectly making up for humans’ lack of physical strength.
The female father had once said that humans were an extraordinary race. Even without the protection of the Zerg when they first entered the interstellar realm, they will eventually occupy a place in the stars through their own struggles.
It was this very quality that caught the Zerg’s attention after the male Zerg war, leading them to extend an olive branch and gain an ally with limitless potential.
As for the talk on the star net about it being due to delicious food and sub-females¹, that was just lighthearted joking based on the first point.
Having begun his formal study of mechas, Quan Fan was very curious about humans and had already decided that, if he got the chance, he would study at a human military academy.
The battle in the sky became more intense, until a huge roar accompanied by billowing smoke was heard. Two figures, still brimming with fierce energy, deftly leaped down from the air, signaling the destruction of both mechas.
Alhandra and Quan Yan, who had just landed, immediately noticed Wei’an.
They watched as Wei’an, who had spotted them the moment they landed, ran over with shining eyes, begging to be picked up, only to be decisively rejected.
Alhandra placed a finger on the little male cub’s forehead, stopping him from rushing over for a hug. His voice was lazy and casual. “I’m dirty. I’ll hug you after I clean up.”
Wei’an, clinging to the arm blocking his forehead, acted spoiled. “Wei’an doesn’t mind if male father is dirty~”
That soft voice instantly broke Alhandra’s resolve, and he helplessly pulled him into his arms. “Alright, we’ll clean up together when we get back.”
“Hehe~” Wei’an snuggled against his face, then pointed to the broken mechas in the field. “I want to play~”
“This won’t do,” Alhandra refused without hesitation.
“Male father is the best~” Wei’an wriggled his small body and buried himself in his male father’s embrace, looking up with wide, hopeful eyes. “Wei’an just wants to play for a little while~”
“No, you can’t handle the mech’s recoil and gravity right now.” Alhandra turned his head to avoid his gaze.
Wei’an pitifully leaned on him. “Not even for a little while?”
His pitiful appearance was heart-wrenching, but before Alhandra could say anything, Quan Yan spoke up from the side. He gestured to his waist, “When Wei’an grows this tall, I’ll give you a mecha.”
Wei’an, who wasn’t even as tall as his calf, looked up at the height of his waist, then touched his own head with his little hand. He put his head, index finger and thumb in front of his eyes and compared them, feeling that he wasn’t that far off. Nodding in agreement, he said, “Mmm, big brother is the best~”
Abandoning his male father, he reached into his little pocket and pulled out some candy, standing on tiptoes to place it in Quan Yan’s hand.
Quan Yan bent down to accept the candy. Seeing that his brother had taken the candy, Wei’an squinted his eyes and said in a sweet voice, “It’s a deal~”
“Mm.”
Receiving the promise, Wei’an immediately turned around and stormed off with determined steps, his chubby cheeks trembling with each step.
“Where are you going?” Alhandra casually raised a hand and grabbed his collar to stop him.
“To eat lots of food and grow tall~” With a serious expression, Wei’an clenched his little fists and said firmly, “Wei’an is going to eat a lot and grow tall~”
Quan Yan and the others couldn’t help but laugh. How could such an adorable little one be related to them? It’s incredible to think about it..
…
Quan Yan is fine, and Wei’an and the others should leave too. This place was part of the front line, and having a young male cub here kept the entire upper echelon of the Zerg race on edge, constantly urging them to leave.
As they were leaving, Wei’an quietly found Quan Yan. “Big brother, we’re leaving~”
Quan Yan, while packing things into his space, responded, “Mm, be careful.”
“Male father bought me a terminal. If big brother misses Wei’an, you can call me~”
“Alright.”
“Big brother, don’t be sad staying here with sister. When you’re done with work, Wei’an will come pick you up and take you home~”
In Wei’an’s mind, his brother was like Quan Fan, who had to go to school. When their work or school was over, they could go home together.
He didn’t know that Zerg could die on the battlefield, nor did he understand the meaning of parting.
Quan Yan looked at the small figure, his lips moving slightly as if he wanted to raise his hand to pat his head. But halfway up, he lowered it again.
Too pure. Wei’an was like a bright, clear sky, so clean it was dazzling.
With even his spiritual power tainted by bloodshed, Quan Yan felt he shouldn’t touch him. In the end, he barely whispered, “Alright.”
After slipping the mecha model he’d worked all night to make into Wei’an’s space, he used the excuse of being busy to leave.
He thought that if Quan Quan, Quan He, and Quan Fuang were still alive, they would definitely love this little brother. Their personalities had been so bold and passionate, like wild beasts and alien wolves of the plains, yet they had loved everything fluffy and cute.
After saying goodbye to his big brother, Wei’an hurried off to find his sister.
Seeing the little one running toward her with short legs, Quan Fei sighed, holding out her hand to stop him in his tracks by pressing it against his forehead.
“What is it?” She deliberately lowered her tone.
Wei’an, with a smile, continued to push forward, waving his little arms. “Sister, pick me up~”
Quan Fei pinched his chubby cheeks and, just back from an exhilarating battle with her comrades, pointed at herself. “Can’t you see I’m covered in mud?”
Wei’an looked at the mud on her and suddenly covered his mouth, laughing. He looked up with a small, smug expression. “Sister is so big but still plays with mud. Wei’an doesn’t play with mud~”
Quan Fei, speechless, looked at his little eyes darting towards her from time to time.
Hehe, do you still want her to praise him? !
Just think about it!
She grabbed Wei’an’s shoulders and turned him around. “Go find your male father, don’t tease me.”
Then she quickly raised her leg and ran off.
Seeing his sister run away, Wei’an pouted. He still had a gift for her.
In the end, he had to give the gift to his brother, asking him to pass it along, while puffing up his cheeks as he was carried aboard the starship by his male father.
As the starship was about to leave, he finally calmed down and waved to the soldiers below. “Goodbye, uncles! Remember to take care of my brother and sister for me~”
“Alright!” The soldiers below replied in unison.
Hearing the collective response and the banter from her comrades, Quan Fei covered her face in embarrassment, but the corners of her mouth were unknowingly turned up beneath her hand.
“Your little brother is really beloved by the Zerg,” Yao Yu said, looking up at the small figure waving from above.
Quan Yan responded softly, watching the starship. He only turned to leave after it disappeared from sight.
In the sunlight, his already tall figure seemed to grow even larger.
