The Reason For Divorcing The Villain

CHAPTER 015

Asili was revealed by Ludwig, the Grand Duke of Caliente, to be the daughter of the Bolsheik family. So doubting the identity of such a person was the same as not trusting Grand Duke Caliente. That was why, at the Grand Duchess’ party, the daughters of families that were said to make a loud noise in the empire retreated without saying anything.

The aide, whose head had been boiling with excitement, cooled down later, lowered his eyes, and the crown prince withdrew his hand and patted his shoulder.

“I know how you feel. So thank you.”

“I… Your Highness, I told you that you shouldn’t say things like that.”

The crown prince laughed out loud at the aide who grumbled but couldn’t hide his expression of emotion. And with that bright smile on his face, he whispered into his aide’s ear.

“As always, you’re right. So, take a look at Lady Bolsheik. Because it would be troublesome if a strange girl hooked up with my brother. Of course, His Highness, the Grand Duke of Caliente, may not have identified her out of thin air, but you never know.”

The aide lowered his head in silence, and the crown prince massaged his neck, which had become stiff from the killing he had received earlier.

“Okay then shall we go back now? It’s a theft case. I have a reason to stop by again soon.”

“Your Highness!”

“Ah, stop nagging.”

The first meeting between the two, which was so annoying to Asili and interesting to the crown prince, ended as messily as it started.

* * *

Let’s go back in time a little bit, to the time when Asili was hanging out in Ludwig’s study.

In one corner of the annex of the mansion, a tea party was in full swing with ladies from various families gathered together. The Grand Duchess’s party ended with the appearance of Duke Bolsheik’s daughter and the shock of her being the owner of the seat next to the Grand Duke of Caliente. Now that the party was over, as a matter of course, all attendees had to go home, and most of them did. However, some of the dogs did not return home and were staying at the Grand Duke’s mansion. Of course, most people stayed at the Grand Duke’s House for a short time because their return schedule was slightly delayed or distorted, but there were also cases where this was not the case.

“I haven’t gotten the money to buy a carriage yet because I don’t know if we’ll have to go back so soon…”

“Oh my, that’s right.”

While the others were mingling with tea and refreshments, a young lady blushed innocently as if she was in trouble.

“So what did you decide to do?”

“Oh, that’s… Nothing to say yet.”

She lowered her head and fiddled with her teacup.

The other ladies winked at each other. No matter how low her title was and she was a lady who came from the countryside and didn’t know much about the world, she still openly said that she couldn’t return home because she didn’t have money.

To put it in a good way, it was naive, and in a bad way, it was stupid. Besides, they didn’t really want to know the fault of her family being so poor, but they found out.

Among the ladies who were keeping their seats out of courtesy, one of them opened her mouth hesitantly.

“Excuse me first.”

And starting with her, the other ladies also got up and left almost at the same time.

The girl with the simple face she left behind blinked her eyes and stuffed the refreshment in front of her into her mouth. If other ladies had seen it, it would have been a standard etiquette, but the lady had a happy expression on her face. When on earth will she ever eat refreshments like this?

Eventually, when the refreshments ran out, a waiter approached her and brought another tray.

“Wow!”

In front of the simple lady who briefly admired the food, a different type of refreshment than before was showing off its appetizing appearance.

She soon realized that she had no money and could not return to her distant estate, and although she was a poor and low-ranking baron, she seemed to have forgotten her position as a blue-blooded noblewoman and ate her refreshments without any hesitation. Eventually, she seemed to come to her senses and shyly opened her mouth.

“Hey, I’m sorry, but can you pack these for me?”

As she spoke, her voice became quieter, probably because she was embarrassed, but she did not back down and instead demanded more.

“I want to share it with the maid who will be guarding my room. I want you to take care of the things I ate earlier.”

The noble lady personally brought up her request to bring refreshments separately. Even in this unprecedented case, the residents of the Grand Duke’s Mansion were not at all embarrassed. They just bowed their heads and complied with everything the lady asked.

“Is there anything else you need?”

In response to the servant’s question, the simple young lady smiled brightly and shied away.

“No, this is enough! Thanks… Oh, I shouldn’t have said that.”

Shaking her head as if she were embarrassed, she walked away, holding the large basket preciously in her arms, and the employees who had seen her off in silence soon began to do their jobs.

The place she headed, carrying a basket full of refreshments, was the guest room in the Duke’s annex. She opened the door without knocking and entered the room, shouting at the person who was alone in the room.

“Eat this.”

Her face was expressionless, as if her innocent smile was a lie.

The person who received her words was someone very similar to her.

“What?”

“Something we’ve never eaten in our lives.”

“What?”

“Shut up and just eat. Because I stooped down to get it.”

The mask of the simple and innocent country girl disappeared and she spat out harsh words, but the other person paid them no mind and lifted the cloth covering the basket.

“Wow, what is it? Do you eat things like this?”

“You, be careful what you say. Here, my sister is my maid. Have you forgotten the warning from the Grand Duke that we shouldn’t send more than two people from the same family?”

“That’s right. Well, I’ll eat well.”

She tilted her head as she looked pitifully at her older sister, who was just as hungrily eating her snacks as she was.

“What’s worth more money than that?”

“Oh, of course I stole it. Everyone was gathered at that tea party. It’s over there.”

Seeing her older sister pointing under her bed with her chin, her younger brother frowned and groped under her bed with his hand. Her sister pulled out a bag that was attached to the bottom of the bed, not the floor.

For a moment, the younger sister’s eyes lit up as she opened the opening of her pocket and checked the sparkling necklace inside. Eventually, she took out her necklace and shook her head.

“You can’t stick it under the bed like you always did. I’ll go to the Grand Duchy.”

“Then where are you going to put it?”

After hearing her sister’s words, her sister thought for a moment and then pointed to her sister’s already finished pie.

“Bring that to me.”

“What? Do you want to eat again?”

Her sister responded to her who was trying to take the pie to her mouth as if she couldn’t give it to her.

“Eat up as much as you can. Besides that, take out her other pie and take a bite.”

“Ugh?”

Her sister stuffed another piece of her pie into her sister’s mouth and then took out another. She took a piece of the pie and put her fancy necklace inside it. Her older sister saw her and clapped with her sugar-covered hands.

“As expected, you’re smart. The same goes for pretending to be naive and stupid to make people let down their guard. The same goes for making me a maid and bringing me here. Who would scavenge for leftover pies in this noble princely family!”

She added, shaking her head.

“I also really like the idea of stealing from customers rather than stealing from the Grand Duke.”

“Of course. You can’t touch the Grand Duke’s family without going crazy. Moreover, the foolish ladies were afraid that the Archduchy’s servants would show their ugly side, so they filled the annex with people they had brought in.”

“Hey, you’re smart as expected.”

“You’re stupid. Rather, you should pick the cheapest one of these necklace gems right now and exchange it for money. We have to leave quickly.”

“Okay, before we get caught…”

-Knock knock knock!

Before she could finish her sentence, there was an urgent knock on the door.

The older sister and the younger one looked at each other and nodded at the same time, and her younger sister quickly opened her mouth with a simple smile on her face.

“Come in.”

Two employees entered through the open door without a sound. They bowed deeply with very embarrassed faces.

“I’m sorry, but you have to come with me.”

Then the simple-faced sister tilted her head.

“What’s going on?”

“Well. I need you to come with me first.”

And then her sister, who was out of everyone’s sight for a moment, quietly took something out of her pocket and shoved it deep into her leftover pie, just like her sister did. Soon, the younger sister obediently walked along with the workers, and the older sister also belatedly joined her.

Until now, no one knew that this incident, which started at the hands of two people, would leave the hands of two people and lead to bloodshed.

* * *

How long had it been since her sister and her waited in the huge reception room of the main building under the guidance of the employees?

– Sweet.

With the sound of the door opening, the young lady entered, not hiding her angry expression. And behind her, a lady with the same face as hers also entered.

“Twins?”

Her sister spoke out loud without realizing it, and her voice, dressed in her maid’s uniform, was loud enough for everyone in the quiet drawing room to hear. The twin lady glanced at her older sister, but luckily for her, she was her maid! She didn’t seem to have any intention of yelling or punishing her.

She just ignored it.

Among the twins, the young lady with a ribbon tied around her left wrist bowed her head lightly towards her younger brother, and her younger brother bowed his head as well with an innocent look on her face. The young lady, who had tied a ribbon around her right wrist, continued to exhale briefly and touch her empty neck.

As the older sister crooked her neck and glared at her younger sister, her younger sister looked at her twin lady and said…
