“Asili Bolsheik. She is the daughter of Duke Bolsheik.”
The Crown Prince held out his hand towards Asili and then secretly withdrew it into Ludwig’s desert-like eyes.
“This is His Highness the Crown Prince.”
“It’s an honor to meet you.”
Asili’s attitude was as dry as Ludwig’s, but the Crown Prince did not hide his curiosity and opened her mouth, but Ludwig’s touch made her fall down on the sofa again.
“Let’s sit down first.”
Ludwig lightly pushed the Crown Prince’s chest to sit down and carefully placed Asili next to her, as if he were handling a glass doll. The aide who saw this was mesmerized, and the crown prince smiled mischievously.
He opened his mouth without even trying to hide his smile.
“My brother cares for you a lot… Ah, I understand. They call him the Grand Duke.”
The Crown Prince shrugged his shoulders and then asked Asili, who was not even looking at him with her eyes half lowered.
“Asili? The name is unusual. It’s a dream. Did Duke Bolsheik feel dreamy after receiving his wife?”
Asili then gave a lukewarm look towards the crown prince, who was laughing heartily at what he had said, and gave an insincere answer. Because he didn’t want to have a long conversation with the crown prince.
“Yes. That. It seems like he did.”
Actually, the name Asili was given to her by Ludwig. She remembered the time when she had heard her name from Ludwig, listening to the Crown Prince talking nonsense in front of her through her nose. It was probably after she first fell into this world and met Ludwig’s aides.
The smile on the crown prince’s lips became a little stronger when he saw Asili losing focus.
Contrary to the popular opinion that the Crown Prince was clumsy and made people around him uncomfortable, he was actually one of those who had an unusually quick sense of humor. Even though she knew it, she acted based on her feelings, so she only made other people uncomfortable. After Asili gave a vague answer and then closed her mouth, her son-in-law became quiet. How long has it been since there was such grave-like silence? It wasn’t someone’s voice that broke the uncomfortable silence that made her feel a thorn in her ass.
-Knock, knock, knock, knock!
At the sound of an urgent knock, Asili and Ludwig looked at each other as usual, and the crown prince tilted his head when he saw them. And since he was not one to tolerate her curiosity, he asked without hesitation.
“It seems like you have known each other for a very long time?”
That damn thing was needlessly sharp.
“Where and how did you meet? It’s the Bolsheik.”
“It’s a personal matter.”
Ludwig cut it just right, but the crown prince was not one to back down that much. He smiled as brightly as the sun and said something that only ignorant people would say.
“This is your first meeting with the person who will be by your side. Don’t be stiff and try to tell the story. I need to have something to tell my nephews later when they ask.”
Why were there all these rude people?
He said, “What is he? Let go, let go.” Even designing other people’s future children. In a good way, it was informal and friendly, but in a bad way, it was rude and crossed the line. Of course, just because he was the crown prince or a grand duke, there was no need to be formal, draw a line between people, and make them nervous. Even though they were the biggest pillars supporting the empire and the core of the gigantic organism called the empire, in which human life was virtually buried. Anyway, humans were humans. So, they couldn’t say that they were friendly to someone in private and didn’t care about etiquette just because they wanted to. However, this did not mean that you could treat anyone without formality just because you were a crown prince or a grand duke. In particular, wasn’t the crown prince’s opponent the grand duke? Even though he clearly expressed that he doesn’t like the other person, he pretends to be friendly and clings to them. People like that always said the same thing about where they got their education.
“It’s such a good story that you decided to keep it a secret…”
“The story itself is nothing special, and it’s not like I’m going to recreate that encounter…”
Where do you really get the truth education from? It’s not a big deal, it’s not a big deal from your perspective. After thinking that far, Asili opened her mouth despite knowing that Ludwig would not deal with a guy like that because ignoring him was the answer.
“I may be rude, but it’s because it’s a precious memory I don’t want to share.”
Meeting naked in each other’s dreams without any warning and biting off his arm was also a precious memory. At least it’s definitely not a story worth sharing with others.
At her answer, the Crown Prince opened his eyes wide and looked alternately between Asili and Ludwig. Asili’s eyes wrinkled slightly at that blatant gaze, and then the sound of her knocking rang again.
-Knock knock knock.
“Come in.”
Originally, he would have asked for understanding from the guest, the Crown Prince, and allowed him to come in, but Ludwig didn’t care at all. Because the crown prince was not a guest. Of course, if it had been anyone other than him, they would have treated the crown prince as an honored guest no matter when he came. Not only Asili, but also Ludwig did not consider him a guest. To them, he was nothing more or less than an annoying and rude uninvited guest.
Sebastian appeared behind the door that opened without a sound. He still had a calm face, but the knocking sound wasn’t, so it was easy to guess that something was going on.
“Excuse me, your highness.”
“What’s the matter?”
The crown prince asked first, gesturing lightly, but Sebastian lowered his head and did not answer. This was because the owner of the ‘Highness’ he added was not the Crown Prince but Grand Duke Ludwig. Whether it’s the crown prince or something else, the person he served was the grand duke. Unless Richard asked, what happened in this mansion was not mentioned. Although it was a very natural thing to do, it was also a difficult thing to do with someone holding the title of ‘Crown Prince’ right in front of you. Although the crown prince was a bit foolish and opened his mouth before the master of this mansion, the fact that he was the crown prince of this empire remained the same. The crown prince’s aide’s face turned red and was about to explode due to the disregard of Sebastian, his only butler.
“What’s going on?”
Ludwig opened his mouth.
In response to the prince’s question, Sebastian’s mouth, which had been closed and motionless as if it had been locked, also opened.
“A theft has occurred.”
Asili’s eyes widened slightly and, as expected, the crown prince suddenly joined in from the side.
“Theft? Here?”
He was so rude when he said the word ‘here’ that even his aide came forward this time.
“Your Majesty, those words…”
And the aide cut off any opportunity to even try to make things right.
“Prince.”
Ludwig’s voice was as rough as a sandstorm, but even a passing monkey could tell that the call was a warning.
“Eek.”
And the crown prince, who had much better sense than a monkey, put both his hands on his chest, showing his palms. The corner of Asili’s mouth twitched at the playfulness felt in the movement that signified surrender.
‘That thing really makes me want to kick its ass.’
She didn’t know whose family this was, but the home education was completely messed up… Phew, that guy was the crown prince. A human being at the very top of a very solid class-based society. And what was more important than that was the fact that that thoughtless bastard was the central protagonist of this world. Even if she tried to kill him, he never dies, and in the end, he gets the happy future he wants. Of course, it was unclear whether the protagonist’s perfectly happy ending includes the happiness of others.
Looking at that tail, it seems like that happy ending will never be a happy ending for others.
“It’s unfortunate. I wanted to talk a little more.”
The crown prince’s eyes, staring straight at Asili, were filled with regret and interest that could not be hidden.
“But I’ll let you go obediently for now. Because I can see you anytime.”
He could obediently watch anything at any time, that crazy person. Asili opened her mouth, her curse reaching the tip of her tongue, but Ludwig was quick.
“You should talk in your sleep while you sleep. If it’s bullshit, it’s not worth listening to, and if it’s bullshit, I’ll make you shut up.”
The voice was low, but not as calm as before. It was a completely different warning than before, a bloody warning as if a sharp blade had been thrust all the way to the throat. The crown prince opened his eyes wide and took a step back without realizing it, while the aide next to him groped his neck with a pale face. Because for a moment, the murderous force that came out of Ludwig took their breath away. Eventually, the Crown Prince swallowed dry saliva without realizing it and slowly nodded his head, and Ludwig left the room with Asili, leaving him behind.
Asili also left without saying a word of greeting to the crown prince. Let alone saying bye, she felt like if she opened her mouth right now, curse words would come out. The door closed without a sound, and the crown prince and his aide remained in the room.
“I… Oh my, that’s rude!”
Belatedly, the aide became angry not at Grand Duke Ludwig, but at Asili, who was the duke’s daughter but had no title whatsoever.
“A suspicious woman who we still don’t know is really Bolsheik’s bloodline… haa.”
The aide could not forget what he said and was silenced by the crown prince’s hand. The crown prince smiled just like that, and his aide blinked. The crown prince was definitely smiling, but it was far from his usual refreshing laugh.
“Come on, you can’t say things like that here. You seem very excited. Please calm down.”
