The Reason For Divorcing The Villain

CHAPTER 005

The two remaining aides held their breath. It was because he was so focused on the woman next to His Highness that he forgot to breathe. She whispered, touching the end of his bright red hair that was tangled on his white shirt. Although the aides could not hear the content, it was clearly the voice of His Highness the Grand Duke. And that voice… When the two aides’ ears grew loud enough, a gasping sound came through.

“Crime… sorry! This is the only thing I found nearby!”

When he saw the whiskey in his young aide’s hand, his eyebrows twitched. On the other hand, she was treated to whiskey like an oasis in the desert. She didn’t know what it said on the bottle, but it looked like alcohol.

Well, it’s a better drink rather than cold water!

A very sure and very effective tool for catching the spirit that was about to fly.

“Don’t say too much, just fill me up.”

Turning her head slightly, she placed her lips close to his ear and whispered as if kissing him.

“What about introductions?”

As if to respond to her, he placed his lips on her temple and asked in a voice so low that she could barely hear it.

“Anyway, you can’t introduce yourself until you’re dressed properly. It would be better to let it go for now and explode on a large scale.”

“You forgot your clothes.”

“Because I was naked every time. Anyway, give me that quickly. It’s alcohol, right? It’s alcohol, right? Even if it’s not true, say it’s true. Even if it’s water, I desperately need the placebo effect.”

“It’s whiskey.”

“That’s a familiar drink.”

Just a little bit of blood appeared on his pale cheeks. He winked at his aide. The aide, who was fidgeting like a puppy with a poop, smiled happily and opened the lid of the whiskey bottle. The aide next to him quickly raised his glass, but his voice cut off their movements.

“No, just the bottle.”

The trained aides steadily followed his orders. The aide who put down the glass went back to his original position and bowed his head, and the aide who handed the bottle also quickly returned to its original position. He looked at the glass for a moment and let out a light sigh. Since the aides couldn’t raise their heads, he probably didn’t know that the cup was placed out of his reach.

“If you blow on the bottle… Why can’t I drink it from the bottle?”

He laughed quietly as she whispered, clearly expressing her desire to do so.

“It doesn’t matter anyway.”

She gritted her teeth as she stared at the whiskey bottle he was shaking in front of her.

“No. You should drink it from a glass now. I have to sit in your lover’s seat.”

“I’m getting married.”

“It’s only temporary.”

The two, who exchanged words without a moment to breathe, moved at the same time. As he opened the whiskey, she held the glass in her hand, wondering where she had found it.

It was not a skill that had been guessed once or twice. It was natural. In they dreams, they exchanged glasses quite often, if not every night.

He filled her glass with a familiar touch.  She drank half a glass of whiskey in one go and held out her glass. The glass is full again. This time there were a little more than before. The glass was also emptied in one go. The whiskey that went down to Mokuldae was not bitter, but went down like water. He filled his glass again. So much so that it flutters on the floor. Originally, it was the amount to fill when pouring whiskey. We didn’t even make eye contact, but if we pretended, we pretended.

-Knock.

Even though the door was open, at the place where the knocking sound was heard was Sebastian, who had brought the clothes himself, not the employee, with his head down.

“This way.”

When he beckoned her, Sebastian stepped towards her with his single, step steps. Holding her in his arms, he took her clothes directly from her. A faint look of bewilderment passed over Sebastian’s face, who had maintained his composure until now. Sebastian unconsciously raised her head and her eyes met hers as she exposed her white legs. However, he was not embarrassed at all and politely bowed his head again.

“It is inadequate because it was prepared in a hurry.”

“That’s enough…”

She barely swallowed the polite words she was about to say when she saw the white hair shaking in front of her. Between you and him, the Grand Duke, you can’t speak highly of someone whose status appears lower than you at a glance. If you can’t understand that much with the increased insight you have as you live in society for a long time, the years of suffering from negative influence will be meaningless. She looked at the clothes Sebastian had brought. She roughly expected it from the caste system and horses and carriages, but…

She was holding a dress in a style that was either rococo or baroque or a combination of the two, and soon found a place to put her arms through. Even so, she had to twirl her laces around for a while before she was finally able to put her clothes on. She understand why other people wear the clothes of the high-ranking people of that era. Unintentionally, he hugged her waist again as she slowly put on her clothes. She didn’t refuse either. There was no reason to deny the warmth of her back and the security of her strong arms wrapped around my waist. She leaned the back of her head against his chest, sighed lightly, and picked up the drink he had filled. As Sebastian retreated, his aides snapped their heads up like meerkats.

He said, resting his chin gently on the top of her head.

“This is… No, I’ll introduce you when everyone is together.”

It was a phrase she passed around because she couldn’t introduce someone whose name she didn’t know, but it was also an indirect way to indicate that we had a relationship worth publicizing. The aides’ eyes grew as big as the tray, and their mouths opened as wide as the tray as he added the words.

“Can you wait two days?”

Even the dry but soothing words she said to her. If Sebastian hadn’t closed the jaws of the three aides one by one, drool would have flowed from between their parted lips. Opening her mouth, she quickly bit it all down. Because she wasn’t sure whether she should speak informally or politely to him. She eventually gave her answer by lightly nodding her head with her eyes half-downcast. Her slender fingers slowly turned the glass she was holding. A thick amber liquid slid along the clear glass. Whiskey flowed between barely bloodless lips. The faces of the aides, who had been unable to hide their embarrassment at the extremely relaxed appearance, eased. Her eyes narrowed, not missing that sight.

‘Why do all three aides look relieved at this moment?’

His dry voice slipped through her ears.

“Didn’t you say that the world you live in has no class system?”

Just one word. The corners of her mouth twitched as his words cleared her doubts. The aides must have been relieved that the woman with His Majesty the Grand Duke in his bedroom did not appear to be of low status. Who would have thought that a cow would catch a mouse by backing her down, and that the skills she had to learn after getting a job to hide her true feelings and pretend to be relaxed would be helpful in times like this. Who would have thought that the dream, the world in the book, would become reality… Even though she was on the verge of ruin and her mind was splitting in real time, it was very helpful to learn how to smile with her trading partner. The veins bulged on the back of her pale hand as she held the glass. His hand overlapped hers. His voice like sand scattering above his head. For her, who was hungry for an end to this situation, it was sweeter than any other confession of love and was so thrilling that it made her spine tingle.

“Everyone get out.”

The aides looked helpless, but their bodies were following their orders. Behind them, Sebastian also walked quietly. The door was closed and the two of them were alone in the bedroom. She was at a loss as to what to wear, so she threw away her loose-fitting robe, which had been wrapped around her straps, and laid it haphazardly on her sofa. Her long fingers brushed over her forehead. Her bright red hair quickly slipped around her thick bones. There was silence.

It wasn’t very comfortable. She wasn’t very uncomfortable though. She stared at the flickering light and opened her mouth.

“I woke up thinking it was morning, but it was night.”

“It seems like the time is different.”

“I don’t know. Maybe it’s not morning.” she closed her eyes.

His hand grazing her temple was familiar, but it was also terribly unfamiliar. The man of her dreams.

“I never knew that the words of someone who said that a dream is beautiful when it is just a dream could be felt so desperately in my bones.”

She didn’t know. really. As long, slow-moving fingers brushed her hair, a faint sigh and a faint moan flowed from between her purple lips.

“Yes…”

She soon opened her eyes and shook her head. She giggled as his hand fell away.

“Oh my god. I can’t believe it can be this good even in this situation.”

“You said it was an addiction.”

“It was good even in a dream where I couldn’t feel anything, so I wonder if I feel foolish now.”

She was speechless at what he said.

‘Now… Now, not a dream.’

Bringing her knees together and resting her chin, she looked at him for a moment. A man who became reality. She stretched out her hand. Slender fingers gently brushed his honey-colored hair. The fingers that grazed his forehead, eyebrows, bridge of nose, and lips stopped at his chin and wandered secretly.

“It’s warm.”

“Your hands are cold.”

He smiled as if he was frowning between her eyes and took her hand. She smiled and answered.

“Because I’m nervous.”

“Nervous? You?”

“Yes. Ever since the moment I realized this wasn’t a dream. I feel like my nerves are going to explode.”

It’s to the point where it would be foolish to deal with people other than him in some way. she was glad that the improvisation and acting skills she developed over a long period of social life didn’t go anywhere… Her closed eyelids twitched. Dry warmth lightly covered it. He didn’t say anything. He just covered her eyes and remained silent.

She let out a sigh that drew deep within her and slowly traced his large hand covering her eyes from the bottom. White fingers passed over the back of his hand, where the veins were bulging, smoothing the joints of his fingers. Her lightly colored lips opened.
