The Reason For Divorcing The Villain

CHAPTER 004

A bedroom. A man and a woman…

Her reason was screaming and struggling that it wasn’t a good idea at all, but nothing really came to mind anymore.

“Let’s organize the situation fast. You said this world is a caste system, right? What exactly is your identity?”

“Grandee.”

“Grandee… After all, being an Grand Duke is a high position, right? What about marriage?”

“I haven’t done it yet.”

“What about engagement?”

“That too.”

“What about your lover?”

He shook his head.

“Good. At least this situation doesn’t mean I’m going to get slapped and dragged out by my hair.”

“As I said before, you are my guest. No one can treat you like that.”

“I know but still…”

“Still?”

She didn’t answer. She squinted her eyes like she was crying and she smiled and she pulled on his shirt.

“Give me this. Because I have to wear it and…”

Slender fingers tangled his golden hair in an unruly manner.

“Just in case, I’m asking, aren’t there any cosmetics you can put on your lips?”

She sighed at his dry gaze and waved her hand.

“Let’s move on. Take it off sooner than that.”

The commotion outside was growing louder. If a little more time passes, there might be someone kicking in the door. He obediently took off his shirt and handed it to her, tilting his head and asking.

“Is this perhaps the answer to a problem that was briefly mentioned before?”

“Let’s do it together. You said you don’t like a woman who is infatuated with that man, you don’t like a woman who is blinded by power, and you don’t like a woman who doesn’t know anything and only looks at you.”

She roughly combed her unfamiliar bright red hair, even though it was on my head.

“Solving the marriage problem…”

“What about marriage? Let’s pretend to be lovers for a while. If you have a lover in the midst of all the headaches of marriage and succession, there will be less noise.”

He looked at her gently. Her cheeks were so pale that they were bloodless. Purple lips. The only thing about her that was different from the girl of his dreams was the color of her hair, which had now become the color of a full-blown rose. But… This is her in her dreams. The only person who makes him laugh when he doesn’t smile. She was the only woman who casually speaks informally and has conversations about nothing. He thought of the people who would be coming from all over the empire by now.

“Let’s get married.”

“You don’t have to do that. Once you have some time, come up with another…”

“The party to find the Grand Duchess begins the day after tomorrow.”

“What? If you are the Grand Duke, yes… isn’t that your wife?”

She asked while holding onto the trouser legs, who was trying to run away from home.

“Yes. Ladies from all over the empire are flocking to take the position of Grand Duchess.”

“There was no such conversation yesterday, right?”

“Because that guy is always the biggest problem.”

“That’s true, but… So, the party will be held in two days.”

“Yes.”

“Cinderella?”

“What?”

This time he asked back.

“I heard you’re holding a party to find someone to marry, and women from all over the country are coming to attend the party!”

“As always, your judgment of the situation is accurate.”

“I’ll find a glass slipper at midnight the day after tomorrow!”

“What is that…”

-Bang!

-Boom boom!

Before she could finish speaking, there was a knock on the door again. This time it was a knock that almost broke the door. He and she stared at each other without blinking. Eventually, she realized that communicating without words, which she thought would only work in dreams, was also possible in reality.

“Ugh!”

She let out a small whine and immediately held out her hand towards him. He whispered to her as he pulled her to him.

“You always give me the answer.”

“Marriage! I know a head massage won’t be enough.”

“Then I guess I’ll have to find a new addiction.”

Grinning through his nose, he pulled her waist a little closer and turned his gaze towards her door.

“Come in.”

After a short answer, the door burst open.

“Your Highness! What’s going on…”

“It’s been 8 years since you went to bed, you’re really not in any pain…?”

“Your Highness, you need to look at this document within today…”

The three people who poured in behind the door fell silent at the same time. In his arms, with her top off, was a woman whose pale cheeks and bright red hair were clearly visible. Sebastian, the Grand Duchy’s butler, who entered the bedroom last, spoke in an extremely calm voice.

“I will prepare a late dinner for you two.”

He turned his gaze towards her. She smiled awkwardly, gently pressing the tip of her twitching lips. Now, in this situation, would you be able to put rice in your mouth? Even if you scoop it up with a spoon, it seems like it would go into your nose. But not you? He shook his head at her sincerity, which he could tell without saying anything.

“I didn’t think about it, so it’s okay. More than that.”

Sebastian, who received his glance, bowed politely.

“I will prepare some clothes.”

After Sebastian walked out the open door, a deep silence fell in the bedroom. Neither he, with his desert-like face, nor she, with her eyes half-cast and the back of her head against his chest, opened her mouth. And the other three. The Grand Duke’s aide. The three men serving him close by opened their mouths like honey-filled mutes, then lowered their heads. The people who were each looking at their toes glanced at each other. But unlike him and her, speaking with her eyes didn’t work, so we just looked at each other’s faces, which were filled with confusion and tears. He couldn’t even think of opening his mouth. It was clear that his head was full of worries before he came to the Grand Duke’s bedroom.

But now. Even though she confirmed to His Highness that nothing had happened, her mind went blank. It would be embarrassing for anyone to see the private life of someone they serve. Moreover, it was even more so if he was someone who she had served for over ten years and had never seen or heard of in his private life. When her thoughts finally reached that point, drool flowed down her stiff neck. They thought about the party they were going to have the day after tomorrow. The Grand Duke declared that all noble daughters listed in documents throughout the empire could be candidates, regardless of status or age. A party to find such a grand duchess will be held just two days later. But now here, in the arms of His Highness the Grand Duke… The woman…

The three were once again astonished. A woman in the arms of His Majesty the Grand Duke? A woman, no, a woman in the arms of someone who doesn’t even accept cats or dogs, let alone people!

“So, why did you come rolling into my bedroom?”

A dry voice, rustling like a sandstorm, pierced their ears as they were pounded with waves of astonishment. All three shoulders twitched at the same time. She felt like she had a lot to say, but her mind went blank and nothing came out. His gaze swept over the tops of the heads of the three aides who had their heads bowed. Although it was neither sharp as a blade nor cold as a glacier, a chill ran down the backs of the three aides who felt his gaze. Cold sweat broke out on their foreheads. Among them, the one who had been by the Archduke’s side the longest opened his dry mouth with difficulty.

“There are documents that need payment today.”

“And?”

The three bowed at the same time as if they had made a promise.

“Please forgive my rudeness.”

Although he served as an aide for half his life, he had never seen him sleep properly. He didn’t think he slept in the study eight years ago… That person went into the bedroom today. His Majesty the Grand Duke spoke before his aides came tumbling into the bedroom.

‘I will sleep in the bedroom today.’

The three aides who saw him leaving the study with only those words looked at the closed door with dumb faces and then jumped up.

‘Your Majesty said you were going to the bedroom now, right?’

‘Going to the bedroom to sleep?’

‘Be calm.’

In fact, the oldest aide who said those words had an expression that showed no signs of calm. A past not long ago came to mind.

‘Please get some sleep.’

‘Your Highness, didn’t you sleep only two hours for three days? Please.’

‘I’ve already used the poison. Now we have no choice but to wait, so please sleep!’

His Majesty the Grand Duke, who would not sleep even though he clung to him and begged him so much, said that he went to the bedroom just to sleep. Mystery, embarrassment, and worry were more important than the joy that the person who had become one with work was finally resting. How worn out he was as he ran to the bedroom and waited at the door. There was no answer when they knocked, so the three aides’ minds were filled with the image of His Majesty’s face lying on the bedroom floor with an expressionless face. Then, finally, words of permission came through the bedroom door. And now this situation.

The aides suddenly realized that this was the Grand Duke’s bedroom, and were unsure whether to be shocked or happy. He glanced down at her, catching a glimpse of her aides struggling in her pit of chaos. She had a very relaxed expression, but there was no focus in her eyes. Because she felt like she wanted to scream and tear out her hair like a crazy woman. Her heart was like a chimney. But since you can’t do that, you have to do the next best thing to calm her mind. She needed to drink cold water and fill her stomach.

“Put the documents down there…”

Before he could finish his sentence, she opened her mouth. Her drowsy, subdued voice was hard to hear unless you listened closely.

“I’m thirsty.”

Her back straightened, but she could see the ears of her three aides still lowering their heads. They couldn’t lift their faces. He didn’t notice it until she first came in, so he glanced at her, but the shirt she was wearing was very cool, so there was nowhere to put my eyes. His eyes met hers. This time, he knew even without saying it, it worked.

“There is nothing to drink here.”

With just a glance, the youngest of his aides tumbled out the door.
