“Aria, Ruth. Be careful not to fall.”

“Yes!”

“I understand, sister!”

The two children’s cheerful voices came in through the open window. Cassis looked up from the papers and stared out the window.

Ruth, Aria, and Celsion were playing freely in the garden seen through the window. Evelia was sitting at the table enjoying tea time and happily watching the children.

It was a sight that made him laugh just by looking at it. How long has it been since I last had a happy day without a single worry?

This was probably the first time in 25 years, Cassis dared to think.

After Julia left, Ruth and Evelia, who miraculously came to his dreary life, became his everything.

In the training hall, Cassis was giving Ruth class. The only difference from before was that Celsion was training beside them.

“I just need you and Ruth.”

He kissed Evelia.

There was no answer, but Evelia realized that his feelings were the same as hers.
