Wizard Ansen eagerly explained.
“The same place, a completely different world, this is what we usually call the Otherworld, a world that you can glimpse or visit if you fulfil certain conditions.”
The more sour Mehen’s reaction was, the more enthusiastic Ansen was to explain.
“Even though it’s a world, it’s not completely different, as it shares the same background, it just has different inhabitants, such as high-ranking demons and devils. Usually, there is an entity or object that is the nucleus, and if you destroy it, it disappears, which is a natural phenomenon…”
Mehen raised a hand to his forehead, his head throbbing.

Ebony hair, golden eyes shining brightly like a beast of prey.

“Hmph. That’s weird. Are you really seeing me? How are you seeing me? It’s not like there’s something wrong with my powers.”
The man poked her in the cheek, muttering to himself.
“I thought we got rid of everything that was alive, but why did this one stay. Hmmm. Did I fail my scoping, because that can’t be… what?”
The more the creepily beautiful man babbled unintelligible words, the more her fear rose.
The man jerked his jaw.
“You’re holding up pretty well, most normal humans would faint the moment they caught a glimpse of this place and not wake up until they died.”

She screwed because she hesitated a bit.

She wasn’t expecting much, but the man looked pleased to have the information.

What he gave her was a round egg, with wings. It looked like an Easter egg, but it was translucent.
“If you squeeze it, you’ll live.”

Was that the sound of a wish?
As she stare in bewilderment, the man turns and looks back at her.
Hmmm.
He flashes her another smile as their eyes meet, startling her.
“A word of advice, you’d better get to the other side as fast as you can, if you don’t want to get yourself killed.”
She blinked.
The man’s figure was gone in an instant.
“Was that really a ghost…”
She feel like she possessed.
“But, what did he just say, if you don’t want to get caught and die?”
Her face paled as she realized the ‘advice’ in hindsight.

Suddenly, the egg in her hand glowed, and a milky translucent shield enveloped her.
At the same time.
A huge magic wave pulsed with sonic boom. The magic wave swept through the entire mansion, and all the objects were swept away and disappeared.
She just clutched her eggs and closed her eyes like a farmer hoping the storm would pass.
Crazy bastard, you’re not going to give me time to escape-!
“Ugh.”
After a moment that she didn’t know how she held on, it was over.

The landscape reversed.
“I’m back.”
She shook her head, dumbfounded at the sight of the mansion bathed in bright daylight.

The egg clutched in her hand had lost its shine and crumbled. And what emblem remained of it.

She looked at the emblem and scratched her head.

“There it is!”
The crowd rushed over.
“Arellin!”
She turned to see Pession and Mehen running towards her, worried.
“Young Lady!”
Reality hit her like she was just waking up from a deep dream.
‘What happened with this man?’
Mehen rushes over, panting, and pulls her into a hug.
“Young Lady, are you all right?”
“Mehen…”
She thought she was okay, but the look on Mehen’s face told her otherwise. She wasn’t.
The familiar warmth of his body and the scent of dry wood enveloped her, and she instantly relaxed. Sleep poured in.
“What happened…”
“I don’t know.”
“Young Lady?”
She burrowed into Mehen’s arms and closed her eyes, relaxing.
“Come on, let me sleep.”
Before her eyes closed completely, she saw the emblem in her hand glow faintly.
