Prologue. The Lustful Demon’s Great Disaster
“A demon has appeared! Stay calm and respond without panic!”
The outside grew noisy in an instant.
Demons had suddenly appeared in the already bustling picnic area.
I wanted to shout, “There’s someone here who has been possessed by a demon! Help!” but I couldn’t open my mouth.
That was because the man I’d been cautiously watching ever since I realized I had been reincarnated as a short-lived extra from the novel I was reading was now completely stealing my breath.
Each time our tongues intertwined, saliva mixed messily.
When the man, who had long held a sword, ran his firm hand over my body, it felt like my insides were boiling with heat.
“Ah…”
Unable to swallow the groan that escaped on its own, I looked at the man before me.
The first prince of the empire.
The final villain of the original novel, Demian Evelen.
He was a man who, in the original story, would have obsessively maintained his celibacy to prevent any scandals that could hinder his ascension to the throne.
But now he had fallen victim to a lustful demon, a creature that possesses humans to fulfill its desires, and his mind was being controlled.
‘They call it a lustful demon, but it’s basically just a demon that makes people horny.’
But I couldn’t pity Demian.
I, too, had been exposed to the demon’s energy, and my body was heating up against my will.
Every cell in my body became sluggish, begging for more stimulation.
As if responding to that plea, Demian grabbed the hem of my dress. His beautiful hands tensed, with bluish veins bulging as he tried to suppress his desire.
Demian’s voice was more languid than usual, and his once sharp gaze was now hazy, as though he were in a trance.
The moment I heard my name escape his lips, my rational mind flew far away.
I met his eyes directly, even through my blurred vision.
Demian’s voice, low and filled with heat, was so sensual that it couldn’t be described as simply lustful.
His eyes, flushed with a reddish hue, were captivatingly sweet.
The high, straight bridge of his nose, and beneath it, his well-formed lips.
There wasn’t a single woman in this world who could resist Demian.
Unless, of course, she was too absorbed in the fact that she was the first woman chosen by the man who had obsessively maintained his abstinence.
‘If only I had subdued the demon a little more decisively when I first encountered it, Demian wouldn’t have fallen victim to the lustful demon.’
Judging by his gaze and our suggestive posture, it was clear I had become Demian’s first prey after being overtaken by the lustful demon.
Not long ago, this realization had filled me with despair, but now, as my reason slowly faded, the thought of being intimate with him didn’t seem so bad.
Moreover, as I had learned, the host’s body wouldn’t remember anything that happened while the demon controlled them.
The demon would quiet down once its desires were fulfilled, if only for a time.
Seeing the broad, muscular chest peeking through his half-unbuttoned shirt, I was certain Demian would also be able to satisfy my own desires.
I nodded slightly, signaling my consent.
Then, as he slowly approached, I watched him for a moment longer before closing my eyes.
‘…So, this is how I get entangled with the final villain.’
The efforts I’d made since possessing this body flashed before my eyes like a lantern in the dark.
Part 1. Reincarnated into a 19+ adult and Tragic Novel
It had been about a month since I was reincarnated into the discontinued 19+ novel, <The Saint Who Awakened in Prison.>
‘Did I… die?’
At first, waking up in another world felt absurd and bewildering.
Of course, it was a poor life without family or anyone dear to me.
Starting out in an orphanage, it was obvious that I’d have to grit my teeth and work hard. My life would be full of struggles, but there was something satisfying about growing through all the hardships I faced.
I worked multiple part-time jobs to try to pay off the student loans for the university I’d fought so hard to get into, but eventually, I collapsed from exhaustion.
And that’s when I woke up in this world.
Although it was frustrating that the life I had been working so hard to improve suddenly came to an end, I quickly decided to stop thinking about my past life.
No matter how much I looked around or how many days passed, it became clear that I had indeed fallen into another world.
Maybe reading so many novels about characters waking up in another world after dying of overwork had given me some indirect experience, but my mind was working quickly.
‘First, I need to figure out where I am and who I am.’
Pretending to be seriously ill, I locked myself in my room and gathered information from the maids who came in occasionally.
It wasn’t hard to act sick. My body was in such terrible condition that I wondered if I had possessed a character who was going to die soon.
‘Judging by the size of the room and the decorations, this seems like a noble’s house.’
I just hoped it wasn’t a family that relied on physical labor to get by. Maybe a merchant family or one known for magic… anything but a knight’s family.
But the information I gathered while lying down was all despair-inducing.
The Evelen Empire. The House of Count Heron. Lady Levy.
And the derogatory nickname etched deep in the body’s memories like a trauma: “Heron’s Defective Product.”
Praying that it wasn’t true, I went to the large mirror adorned with a lion carving.
The moment I saw the cat-like beauty reflected in the mirror, I fully realized who I was and where I was.
Softly curved platinum-blonde hair and deep pink eyes. Long lashes that could captivate anyone, and the sensual curves of my body.
‘Why did I have to possess an extra from a knight’s family who fails to seduce the male lead and dies young?’
Over the next few days, I naturally absorbed the memories of the body’s original owner, which made it easier to accept that this was now my reality.
‘I had completely forgotten about the novel since the author stopped updating it midway.’
<The Saint Who Awakened in Prison> was one of the worst novels I read when I first started getting into fantasy romance.
It was so bad that even the author couldn’t handle all the plot threads they had introduced and abandoned the story without finishing it.
The key elements the author had set for the novel were “tragic 19+ romance fantasy.”
But… in trying to build up that “tragic” setting, the first 100 chapters were nothing but endless misery.
[Is this a wuxia novel? Where’s the romance, and why is it just constant death?]
Comments like that were common, so it was no surprise the story flopped.
Unfortunately, the point in time I’d been possessed into was during one of those tragic phases, just before the main plot of the original story truly began.
The power struggle for the imperial crown was in full swing, with no hint of romance in sight.
There were two princes in the empire.
The first prince, who eventually imprisons the heroine and uses her as a source of divine power, was also the final villain and an obsessive second male lead. His name was—
‘Demian Evelen.’
In front of everyone, he pretended to be the perfect, benevolent ruler, but in reality, his personality and character were deeply flawed.
In the original story, his half-brother, the second prince Fred, eventually wins the throne succession competition.
Demian, unable to accept the result, stages a rebellion.
And as for this body I’m in…
Levy Heron, the “defective product,” and her entire family were massacred while trying to suppress that rebellion.
[The head of the Heron family was away on duty at the border.
The only one left in the capital was the family’s only daughter, who, despite receiving the blessing of their ancestors and being able to wield the power of the lion sacred beast, had been born sickly and spoiled.
Her sole interest was to stay close to the second prince, Fred, so naturally, she had no ability to unite the knights and lead them to victory.]
Afterward, Levy Heron met a brief, pathetic end due to her lack of ability and other reasons.
‘Ugh… of all the characters I could’ve possessed, why did it have to be this extra who dies in such a ridiculous way?’
I looked at the calendar.
The final villain, Demian, wouldn’t stage his rebellion for about three years.
At least the one advantage of being a transmigrator was that I had time to change the course of the original story.
‘First things first, let’s avoid getting involved with Demian, the villain, or the original male lead who doesn’t even notice me. I also need to make this weak body of mine stronger.’
If possible, I should also try to get the original male and female leads together a little earlier—when they’re together, they’re unstoppable.
And then there’s…
I also have to prevent the event that leads to the death of my father, Elbert Heron, the empire’s greatest knight. If he dies, our family is doomed.
If, by some chance, the rebellion does happen and the Count of Heron is still in the capital, then at least the annihilation of me and our family’s knights can be avoided.
‘And if I have some extra time, maybe I’ll find a decent guy and have a romance myself.’
It would be a shame to waste this beauty by pining after the male lead and dying young.
As I made a list of things to do and recalled my knowledge of the original novel, a sudden knock interrupted my thoughts.
Knock, knock—
“Levy, it’s your uncle. I heard you’re feeling much better. If you’re up for it, why don’t we have a nice family dinner together?”
The voice outside the door was warm and friendly.
With my mother having passed away years ago and my father away on business, the nineteen-year-old girl who was left alone would have probably found comfort in this kindness.
But that only applied to the spoiled Levy Heron of the original story, who didn’t know any better.
“Yes, Uncle. I’ll be out soon.”
I hid my reluctance as best I could while answering.
This man was a parasite who had been cast out of the family years ago due to failed business ventures and womanizing. But as soon as his niece was left alone, he snuck back into the mansion.
In the near future, he would gamble away the family’s fortune, plunging the Heron household into financial ruin.
Uncle Aaron was the first person I needed to get rid of if I was going to change Levy Heron’s future.
