The Boss is Reborn with his Little Fairy

After morning classes were over, it was lunchtime. When most students heard the bell signaling the end of the class, they immediately rushed out of the classrooms towards the school cafeteria.

Wen Ke’an and Jin Ming had eaten a big breakfast and were not very hungry. There weren’t many students in the hallway as they descended the stairs.

“What would you like to eat for lunch?” Jin Ming asked, looking at Wen Ke’an.

Before Jin Ming could hear an answer from Wen Ke’an, she observed that Wen Ke’an had abruptly stopped. Jin Ming turned to see a bunch of boys ahead of them. These young men were tall, with tattoos on their arms. Jin Ming recognized them right away; they were the youngsters she had seen at the vocational school the day before.

Jin Ming moved slightly sideways, concealing Wen Ke’an behind him, and questioned carefully, “What do you want?”

Wen Ke’an raised her head and watched the approaching pupils silently. The tallest of them, a black-haired boy in branded clothes with slightly raised peach blossom eyes, was curiously assessing her.

“We just need to talk to her about something. It’s nothing major,” the boy in front said to Wen Ke’an.

Jin Ming instinctively clutched Wen Ke’an’s wrist. “We were only passing through yesterday. What those people were discussing had nothing to do with us.”

Some students who remained in the academic block had stayed late. They kept their distance when they saw vocational school students enter the school and swiftly took alternate paths to avoid any encounter.

“I know, you can trust me—” Xie Hongyi’s statements were cut short when several enormous black insects came seemingly out of nowhere and began flying towards him. The tiny insects vibrated their wings and flew towards Xie Hongyi.

“Holy crap, where did all these bugs come from?!”

In the midst of the tumult, Jin Ming hurriedly drew Wen Ke’an away from the situation.

“What about your little companions?” Wen Ke’an asked, concerned.

Jin Ming was fascinated by flying insects and kept several of them in his room. He frequently treated these small critters as his prized possessions.

“I knew they’d show up today to cause trouble,” Jin Ming smiled. The ones I brought with me are tough and intelligent. They’ll find their own way back to me.”

Jin Ming was leaving the cafeteria after finishing their meal when his tiny buddies returned on their own. Jin Ming cheerfully strolled back till he ran into the same people in the corridor. “Why are you still here?” he asked, his smile freezing.

Jin Ming’s small creatures were ferocious. They had bitten the people quite hard. One of the students’ faces had been bitten, resulting in a large bump.

“Wait, wait, wait.” Fearing that Jin Ming would release his small monsters again, Xie Hongyi quickly rose up and explained, “Sister, we mean no harm. We’re not here to make things difficult for you.”

Following Xie Hongyi’s explanation, he approached Wen Ke’an, who was standing quietly next them, and asked, “Can I get your contact information, classmate?”

When Xie Hongyi noticed Wen Ke’an remained mute, he made a serious gesture with his hands and whispered, “Please.”

In just one afternoon, rumors of Wen Ke’an getting entangled with vocational school students spread around the school grounds. Wen Ke’an was stunning, and many people in the school were secretly admiring her. Although not many people were present for today’s lunchtime events, it couldn’t stop the spread of rumors.

Some claimed Wen Ke’an knew the vocational school pupils, while others claimed she offended them.

These rumors reached Wen Ke’an, but she paid little heed to them. It was almost the end of the school year, and it was finally Friday, which meant she could go home.

“An-An, come over here!” An-An!”

Wen Ke’an was leaving the school gate when she bumped into her best friend Chu Han, who was waiting for her at the school entrance. Chu Han’s school wasn’t far away, so she frequently came over to the school gate to greet her when her classes ended.

“We’re finally on vacation. Let’s go out and have some fun this afternoon,” Chu Han cried, clutching Wen Ke’an’s hand and refusing to let go.

Wen Ke’an couldn’t say no to her lovely best friend’s request. She nodded and said, “Sure.”

They were ready to leave the school gate when they noticed a tiny ruckus nearby. They both looked in the direction of the noise and noticed a nice black car parked outside the school gate.

Chu Han said quietly, “That car looks really expensive.”

Soon after, a girl in a black outfit approached the car. Wen Ke’an recognized her as Li Ke, the school’s Belle. Wen Ke’an had already seen her before. Li Ke had a great figure, and the black dress she was wearing looked both mysterious and sexy on her.

Wen Ke’an fell silent for a moment and then lowered her gaze to her own clothes.

The weather was gradually turning colder, and she wanted to get some autumn clothing. Chu Han had come over to ask Wen Ke’an if they could go clothes shopping together.

Wen Ke’an had gone to a shopping center near the school for the first time, and she had picked some more adult and attractive outfits. “How do they look?” she questioned Chu Han after changing into them.

“Your outfit is pretty good too, but…” said Chu Han, touching her chin. Chu Han giggled as she pointed to her own chest and said, “A bit small.”

Wen Ke’an had a lovely face with an ethereal air that gave her a distinct charm. The attractive attire felt out of place on her, possibly due to her young age.

After trying several times, Wen Ke’an eventually gave up on the sexy look.

Unnoticed by Wen Ke’an, a young man in black clothes with a mask was quietly watching her from a secluded corner.

Gu Ting had been following her since the dismissal of her classes. He didn’t dare to approach her because she was still pretty young. He couldn’t stop his desire to obtain a peek of her, so he silently followed her.

Gu Ting stood discreetly on the side of the store as the two females shopped for clothes. His attention stayed fixated on the girl in the white gown. She had lovely eyes that curled when she smiled. Unlike a few years later, she retained the innocence and freshness of her adolescence, like a newly blooming lily, soft and refreshing.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed. Gu Ting lowered his gaze and checked his phone. It was a message from Xie Hongyi.

[ Son ]: “Ting-ge! I found out some information about Wen Ke’an’s past!”

[ Son ]: image.jpg

[ Son ]: “It’s this guy. Rumor has it that your little fairy classmate used to have a crush on him during junior high! She used to bring him snacks every day to win him over!”

“…”

Gu Ting only glanced at the message briefly. When he looked up again, Wen Ke’an was nowhere to be seen.

[ Son ]: “Let’s go sing at the KTV tonight. Come play, Ting-ge!! I’ll come find you later!!”

That evening, the KTV was packed with people. Xie Hongyi was wailing and moaning non stop as he sang in the KTV’s largest private room. After a while, he became exhausted and sat down alongside Gu Ting, dropping the microphone. He leaned down, perplexed, and inquired, “Why have you been playing with your phone the whole time?”

Gu Ting continued to use his phone, paying no attention to him. Xie Hongyi looked at Gu Ting’s phone, his eyes widening in surprise as he screamed, “Ting-ge, are you ok? Are you doing your homework?”

Gu Ting didn’t even look up. “Is it not allowed?”

“It’s allowed, it’s allowed. You are capable of accomplishing anything. It’s just really amazing,” Xie Hongyi exclaimed. “I never imagined I’d live to see the day you start studying.”

“Do you think he’s handsome or do you think I’m handsome?”

Gu Ting abruptly shifted the subject, surprising Xie Hongyi. “Huh?”

“Is he handsome or am I handsome?” Gu Ting asked again.

Xie Hongyi’s brain eventually registered that by ‘he,’ Gu Ting was referring to the guy Wen Ke’an used to have a crush on. “You’re handsome!” exclaimed Xie Hongyi without hesitation.

Gu Ting asked, “Tell the truth.”

Xie Hongyi struck a pose as if taking an oath, “Really, Ting-ge, you’ve got more charm! Hands down!”

“Is he taller or am I taller?”

“You!”

“Is he richer or am I richer?”

“You!”

“So, the only thing he’s better at than me is his academic performance,” Gu Ting said in a low voice.

“…”

After a brief silence, Xie Hongyi slapped his forehead and suddenly realized, “I get it now, Ting Ge. You mean to say that Wen Ke’an likes Ji Xingran not because of him as a person, but because of his grades, right?”
