The Boss is Reborn with his Little Fairy

“This is very bad.” When they noticed someone approaching them, those few students were holding sticks, and their fierce and evil appearance terrified Jin Ming. Even though he was a boy, he couldn’t possibly win a fight against so many other boys.

Jin Ming gripped Wen Ke’an’s wrist and whirled around without hesitation, disregarding everything else.

They ran for however far they could until Jin Ming looked back and realized that no one was pursuing them. Only then did he exhale a sigh of relaxation.

Jin Ming was gasping and straining to catch his breath after running so rapidly. To rest, he leaned against a nearby tree.

Jin Ming returned his gaze to Wen Ke’an after a brief pause. Wen Ke’an’s face had gone red from running fast, and there were beads of sweat on her fair forehead.

“That frightened me. Those vocational school students aren’t nice individuals. Fortunately, we ran quickly; otherwise, it would have been dangerous,” Jin Ming added, standing by himself after resting.

Wen Ke’an appeared to be absent, as though lost in thought, with her attention fixed in one direction.

Jin Ming approached Wen Ke’an and said, “Are you okay?” with his hand in front of her eyes.

Wen Ke’an snapped out of it and nodded, “Yeah.”

“You scared me so badly. What’s the matter with you? You appear to be out of it,” Jin Ming continued, recalling previous events. “When I pulled you, you didn’t budge, standing there like a statue.”

Wen Ke’an had obviously missed Jin Ming’s words. She remained motionless for a time before looking at Jin Ming and whispered, “Jin Ming, you should go back first.” “I have a matter to attend to.”

Knowing what she was up to, Jin Ming grabbed her wrist and refused to let her go. “Those people are difficult to deal with. If you go back now, aren’t you putting yourself in danger?”

Jin Ming stretched out and caressed Wen Ke’an’s forehead in confusion when he noticed she wasn’t reacting. “You’re not running a fever.”

In the end, Jin Ming refused to allow Wen Ke’an return. Her current state wasn’t ideal, and Jin Ming didn’t want her to remain alone. Instead, he returned Wen Ke’an to his own house.

“My parents are away on a business trip today and won’t be back until tonight,” Jin Ming said thoughtfully when they arrived home. He flung his rucksack onto the couch and offered an explanation since he was concerned that Wen Ke’an would feel uncomfortable in his home.

“I have a clean guest room at home. You can stay there tonight.” It was getting late, and Jin Ming was starting to get hungry. He opened the fridge and asked Wen Ke’an, “What would you like to eat? I can make something for you.”

Wen Ke’an’s feelings had subsided significantly. She had already worked things out in her head on the way back. Gu Ting was no longer the 27-year-old Gu Ting. He had never met her and had no feelings for her.

At least now, she had found him and seen him.

Wen Ke’an began cooking with Jin Ming once she had worked through her emotions. Jin Ming’s parents were both busy with work and frequently traveled for business, so he learnt to cook at a young age. They only prepared two bowls of rice, a tomato and scrambled egg dish and minced meat with eggplant.

Wen Ke’an began to nod off after a few bites of the meal. Jin Ming saw her lack of concentration and tapped her bowl with his chopsticks. “Why are you lost in thought instead of eating properly?”

“Do you think it’s easy to pursue a guy?” Wen Ke’an asked sincerely to Jin Ming.

“Which guy would resist your charm with your face and personality?” Jin Ming boldly responded.

However, Jin Ming realized what he had indicated immediately after saying this. He bit his chopsticks and paused before asking, “You’re not…”

Wen Ke’an nodded and said, “I want to pursue him.”

As night fell, some adolescents around seventeen or eighteen years old entered a noisy pub full with a diverse crowd. The bar contained various tabletop games, and because it was adjacent to the school, vocational school students frequented it in their spare time.

The bar was buzzing, and a red-haired teen stood on a table, sipped his drink and exclaimed, “Where’s Brother Ting? Why is he not here?”

“Brother Ting used to be able to outdrink all of us. “What happened to him today?”

“We’re missing one individual. “Please hurry and bring Brother Ting back!”

Xie Hongyi, who was sitting on the side, took a drag of his cigarette, looked towards the balcony, and smiled. “Brother Ting is up to something. You guys have fun!”

The bar had air conditioning, which kept it cool. Xie Hongyi crept up to the balcony unnoticed. A surge of warm wind came in as soon as he opened the door.

Tonight’s moon was unusually round. “What are you doing, Ting-ge?” Xie Hongyi asked the person on the balcony.

Gu Ting remained silent. Xie Hongyi had previously approached him. Gu Ting’s phone screen was still turned on. Xie Hongyi knelt, took a deep breath, and read aloud, “How to pursue a seventeen-year-old girl.”

Gu Ting turned around and shut down the phone. “Do you need something?”

When Xie Hongyi unexpectedly discovered Gu Ting’s secret, he chuckled and asked, “Well, well, has the Iron Tree finally blossomed? Do you have a crush on someone?”

As if remembering something, Xie Hongyi’s voice grew quieter.

Perhaps no one else noticed, but Xie Hongyi had definitely seen and heard this afternoon while standing by Gu Ting’s side.

Gu Ting quietly and tenderly addressed the girl as “wife.”

Xie Hongyi also noted Gu Ting had become inattentive after that classmate had left.

“Is she that girl from the No. 1 Middle School you met this afternoon?” Xie Hongyi questioned tentatively, looking at Gu Ting again.

Gu Ting remained silent, but Xie Hongyi understood. He didn’t deny it, but he did acknowledge it.

“Do you two know each other before? Love at first sight?” Xie Hongyi wondered incredulously.

Gu Ting remained silent.

Xie Hongyi’s curiosity peaked. “Baidu won’t be of any help,” he stated confidently as he stroked his chest, “You should inquire of me.”

“You know?” Gu Ting’s steady gaze finally shifted to him.

“Of course I do! Take a peek at how many exes your bro has had.” When it comes to love, Xie Hongyi acted like a flashy peacock.

Xie Hongyi didn’t mind that Gu Ting wasn’t especially interested in engaging with him. “Ting-ge, the most important thing when pursuing a girl is creating opportunities,” he added, looking at Gu Ting. “To create feelings, two people must spend time together.”

“Ting-ge, look, those two have already been identified,” Xie Hongyi said with a wicked smirk. “They went there of their own volition,” Xie Hongyi exclaimed, slapping his own leg. “Isn’t this a fantastic opportunity right here?!”
