Since everyone found out that Wen Ke’an is CEO Gu’s fiancée, their attitudes changed a lot. Wen Ke’an started feeling increasingly uncomfortable at the office. “By the way, I heard from the teachers today that our graduation ceremony is on June 15,” Sha Yi said, smiling. “I’m a little excited. When Shi Chu returns, we can take graduation photos together.”

After the defense, they had some free time. Those seeking jobs could start sending out resumes early, while those admitted to graduate programs had a more relaxed schedule.

Wen Ke’an had been staying on campus recently, savoring the little time left.

Shi Chu came back on June 10, and she completed her thesis defense that day. In the following days, the four girls in their dormitory took several sets of photos around the campus.

The graduation ceremony was held on June 15, and the school’s conference hall was packed with graduating students.

Wen Ke’an and Gu Ting had different majors, so they couldn’t sit together. But soon after Wen Ke’an sat down, she spotted Gu Ting sitting diagonally across from her and happily stood up to wave at him.

“Ah, I can smell the PDA,” Sha Yi glanced at Wen Ke’an and laughed.

Wen Ke’an looked at Sha Yi and smiled sheepishly.

“You and your boyfriend have been together for so many years, and your relationship is still great. I’m so envious.”

Sha Yi knew that Wen Ke’an and Gu Ting had been together since high school, making it six years now. Yet, their relationship was still strong, like a pair of love-struck teenagers.

The graduation ceremony officially began and lasted the entire day due to the number of students.

When they came out of the conference hall, the sun had already set.

The school is located near some mountains, making the mountainous horizon to the west very visible. At that time, the sky was beautifully tinted red by the sunset.

Wen Ke’an and Sha Yi had just walked a bit when they saw Gu Ting waiting under a tree not far away.

Before Wen Ke’an could say anything, Sha Yi smiled and said, “Go ahead, go ahead.”

Gu Ting was also wearing a black graduation gown. He was tall, and the normally plain gown looked distinguished on him.

Gu Ting smiled and handed her the milk tea he was holding.

After dinner, Wen Ke’an pulled Gu Ting out for a walk. Their neighborhood was not far from a scenic spot, which had a beautiful park nearby.

Now, the sky was completely dark, and the small park’s streetlights were on.

There were many elderly people taking evening walks and children playing in the small park. It was quite lively.

After strolling with Gu Ting for a while, Wen Ke’an’s attention was suddenly caught by lighted signs, candles, and flowers in the small square ahead.

Gu Ting looked up, “Someone’s proposing. Do you want to go see?”

As they got closer, Wen Ke’an saw many beautiful flowers arranged in the small square, with candles shaped into a heart.

“Why is no one here?”

“Is it really a proposal, with this setup?”

“Maybe it’s a surprise?”

But she wondered where the couple was.

Gu Ting gently took her hand, looked up, and smiled, asking again, “Will you marry me?”

Wen Ke’an never thought Gu Ting would propose, as she always assumed they were already married and didn’t need formal proposals. She even thought proposals were optional. But being the main character of an actual proposal scene, Wen Ke’an couldn’t help but feel deeply moved.

This is the feeling of being valued by your loved one.

“Of course,” Wen Ke’an said with a smile, looking down at him.

After the successful proposal, there was a cheer from the onlookers.

Gu Ting looked down at her with a smile and asked, “Are you sure you want to stand in there?”

Wen Ke’an thought carefully and realized that she really didn’t want to.

She liked watching others propose, but if she had to stand in there herself, she would feel it was a bit deliberate and awkward.

After thinking for a while, Wen Ke’an suddenly squeezed Gu Ting’s hand.

Gu Ting understood her meaning. He leaned down slightly to listen to her.

“I’ve figured it out,” Wen Ke’an mumbled softly.

“Figured out what?” Gu Ting asked.

Wen Ke’an looked up at him and earnestly said, “You know me better than I know myself.”

“Hahahaha, congratulations to Gu Ting! Successful proposal!”

Before Gu Ting could say anything, Wen Ke’an was startled by a familiar voice from behind.

When Wen Ke’an turned around, she saw Jo Shang’er, Gu’s dad, and her parents standing there.

“Aunt Jo, Uncle Gu, Mom, Dad?” Wen Ke’an was stunned for a moment, “What are you doing here?”

“Hahaha, silly girl,” her father, Wen Qiangguo, laughed at her expression.

“We are Gu Ting’s little helpers,” Jo Shang’er explained with a smile, “We helped him prepare those candles!”

Chu Han was also proposed to by Xie Huaiyan. They discussed and agreed on a good date to go to the civil affairs bureau to get their marriage certificates together.
