- Makarten’s Gambling Den
“Huh!”
Hot breath pours down the nape of my neck. The heavy weight of the man pressing down on my back makes my heart beat until it hurts. I tilted my head back, gripping the back of the couch. The feeling of Lacius colliding with me is dizzying.
I never expected an hour ago that the inside of the plane would be such a hot and dangerous place. I didn’t even know that Lacius had deliberately ordered the captain to take a detour. He was as sweet as ever, guiding me with a gentle hand.
‘But he’s a fraud. He said he would do it just a little bit… … .’
Gasping so hard, it felt like the air wasn’t reaching my lungs. Lacius’ thick, firm hand rests on the red hair tangled between his fingers. He had no intention of letting me go. As if to make up for the times we hadn’t been able to meet or hold each other properly, he was ravenous.
I swallowed up all of Lacius’ longing. I didn’t want to share it with anyone. His rising body heat, the kisses that landed every time I tilted my head back, the synchronized movements of our bodies.
There was no bed to break, but the very soft sofa protected my knees. I couldn’t remember how long we’d been in the same position. The sound of our wet skin meeting was excessively stimulating, so I bit my lip and shook my head.
“Your lips will get hurt.”
“Haa, ah!”
“Shay.”
Even though he warned me once, I kept biting my lip, so he supported my neck and swallowed my lips. My toes curl from the overwhelming thrill. Lacius, with his lips still on mine, let out a growling sound, as if I had unintentionally tightened.
Proof that the man I love feels the same way I do. I liked it so much that as soon as our lips separated, I sped up on my own. Quickly, a little faster, as if seducing him by grabbing his collar. After all, we were completely isolated from the captains, and the structure was soundproof. I could freely tell him I loved him.
“I love you.”
“I love you more.”
“No, I think I love you a little more.”
“Well, then, I’ll have to add a little bit more to that little more.”
“Oh my god, this will never end.”
Making love took a very long time. Not only the act itself but also the conversations we had while embracing each other were part of it. I giggled softly, twisting his hair around my fingers. Lacius looked at me lovingly and then pulled my fingers to kiss them.
“I will always love you more, so you may love me a little less.”
“Why?”
“That way, even if something sad happens, you will be less sad.”
“What on earth does that mean?”
Lacius didn’t say everything, but I, being quick-witted, understood it all. Sitting on the sofa, I gently caressed his smooth abs without any belly fat and chuckled.
“Don’t even think about dying before me when we’re old and gray.”
“I didn’t mean it that way.”
“See? It’s a silly thought we don’t need right now.”
I always live in the present. On the other hand, Lacius was accustomed to living in the future. That’s probably why we had such a difference in our perspectives. I reached out and pinched his cheek.
“Just look at the present. Just look at me, who is next to you. Live like that, and you’ll find we’ve grown old before you know it.”
“… Alright.”
“I don’t know whether you will leave first or I will leave first, but you can think about it after our hair turns white.”
“So strict, my fiancee.”
Lacius lightly bit my lower lip and then released it. It was so sweet, like falling into chocolate fondue. As soon as I left Terran to go to Makarten with him, I was filled with nothing but happiness.
‘It’s nice to be able to forget about the troublesome things, like the demon and all.’
Besides, isn’t the place we’re going to a gambling city? There was no way something big enough to threaten our lives would happen in such a place. In other words, my remaining lifespan was safe.
Kuuuuung!
“Ah, it’s here.”
It was then.
I heard a friction-like sound that interrupted our sweet time. But neither I nor Lassius were surprised. After all, just because we’ve fled Terran like this doesn’t mean we’re really running away.
We decided that if there were any important matters that needed the final decision maker’s input or approval right away, my aides would pick them up and deliver them to another plane. The plane that had just caught up with us must have had a trusted wizard on board who would manipulate space and deliver the documents in a comfortable manner.
Flapping, fluttering. Papers flew through the pitch-black space. Then it steadily piled up. If I had to meet with someone in person, I’d be busy picking up and putting on another set of clothes by now, so it was nice to just stand still and wait.
“There’s a mountain of things to settle, a mountain.”
Wrapped in a thin blanket, the first thing I picked up was a men’s clothing design. I had reviewed the test product for the Norigae, and several drafts were sent to help me decide where to hang it. As I flipped through the papers with a troubled look on my face, Lacius languidly pointed at one item from behind me.
“This would look good on the chief of Kun.”
“Same as I thought. Shall we go with this one?”
“Desert men love anything that hangs below the waist, so I think this will be popular.”
“Okay, let’s decide on this.”
It may seem like an overly easy decision, but Lacius’ fashion sense was actually incredible. Sometimes, even though he was my man, I couldn’t help but admire him.
“Madame gave the Norigae as a gift to prestigious ladies, and it seems the response was very positive.”
“That’s something to celebrate.”
“I know. I can’t wait to sell it in the desert and see the reaction.”
It was a thrill to see the product I had envisioned materialize and sell.
“Okay then, let’s play hard with our quills until we arrive!”
