The Archduke’s Gorgeous Wedding Was a Fraud

TAGWF Chapter 12.3

He wasn’t talking about the Jenga bet. A quick breath leaks out from between the sluggish lips. I wrap my arms around his neck, hanging on. I want just a little more, just a little closer. While quietly showing such greed.

Perhaps Lacius feels the same way; his usually calm gray eyes seem unusually intense today. The color I always thought was like water-soaked clouds now feels like a brewing storm. It’s much more thrilling than I expected for the man I adore to stare at me with such a fully masculine appearance.

“But once I covet you like this.”

“Heuk!”

“You might end up hating me.”

Lacius spat out unnecessary worries and carefully ran the back of his hand over my cheek. I can’t believe how naive he thinks I am when he really doesn’t have to think that way in the slightest.

I pouted and grumbled.

“I won’t hate you.”

“Will you really not hate me? If we start now, when do you think I’ll let you go?”

“… … huh?”

“You don’t know me very well yet. You may think that I am saying this because I think you are young. However, Shay, you truly don’t know me.”

There was a turbid excitement in his voice.

He wants me. He doesn’t even try to hide it, but he keeps taking a step backward, and I feel a strange competitive stirring in the pit of my stomach at the sensation. With a single inhale, the heat radiating from Lacius was sucked into me, making my throat burn. May my breath set him off as well.

I looked straight at him and said a single sentence.

“I want you, Lacius.”

Today. With those words, my vision flipped over.

Something soft touches my back, and golden strands settle on top of me. Lacius was on top of me in an instant. Perhaps I’ve always underestimated the act of mixing bodies; I only had indirect knowledge, and I was not afraid because I had never done it before.

So, the fact that a man’s face can change like this. I didn’t know it until now.

‘His expression, it’s different.’

The Lacius of today was nothing like his usual self. The man he’d been when he’d crossed swords with the chief of Kun. The most secret part of him and perhaps the ‘real’ him.

“… Lashi—Uh?”

The beast’s true nature was vivid. Escape was no longer an option. Unexpectedly, my legs pressed together as thoughts surged within me. Our breaths mixed intimately, our noses almost touching.

I usually had a habit of not averting my eyes from any opponent. But this time I couldn’t stand it.

“… hmm.”

Once again, my breath, along with my lips, were swallowed. Swollen lips were being nibbled on. The intruder, like a hunter cornering prey, captured my tongue. The sound of a fierce struggle and the swift movement of his tongue followed.

It was obviously the same person, but the body temperature that touched me was as hot as burning. It felt like I’m doing this with a god instead of a human being. Suddenly, a wave of fear washes over me. It’s because he’s so different, so uncharacteristic, that he doesn’t seem like the man I know.

“I can’t. Not this time.”

A different voice, like someone holding something back, resonated. The corners of his mouth twitched as if he were reading my every thought.

“Ah……! It hurts!”

He bit my neck, leaving vivid red marks on my pale skin. His graceful hand slowly caressed my spine. After nibbling at the nape of my neck for a long time, his lips trailed downward.

I don’t know where this scent is coming from. I didn’t light a scented candle, and it’s not the pheromone cologne I’m wearing, but it numbs my sense of smell. If a roaring fire had an odor, it would smell like this. Lacius smelled like warm embers.

Gradually, my heart settled. This is the Lacius I know. Not a god, or a beast, or something else. Just a man who craves me. Thinking this way, an overwhelming desire to embrace him arose.

“Shay.”

Slowly descending, Lacius lifted my legs. Calling my name, he left a kiss on the inside of my ankle—a gesture of submission. It was a sign of obedience that only slaves do. But his meaning is different.

“Tell me one more time.”

“What?”

“What you said earlier.”

He was mischievous beyond imagination. He wants to hear me say I want him again.

But instead of blushing and floundering, I swallowed my embarrassment by biting the tender flesh in my mouth once, then looked him in the eye and whispered with even more desire than before. If only this would loosen his reins.

“I want you.”

With that, it felt as if he soon would lose his sanity.

“On this bed, I swear my obedience to you.”

“Ah!”

“I offer you myself, all of me.”

Lacius bit the hollow in my ankle. The hot heat flowing from him was the desire to possess the other person completely.

A knight of world renown.

A judge filled with lofty pride and dignity.

And an archduke who’s the main pillar of the country.

All three bowed to me at once. A man who will kneel only to me. How could I not fall for a man like this? I’m greedy after all.

“Me too, I’m giving you all of me.”

I wrap my arms around the nape of his neck, though they’re tiny, absurdly thin compared to his his body.  Sweet desire poured into the man’s ears.

“Haaa.”

He let out a ragged sigh. And soon Lacius’ body covered mine. It felt like our overlapping skin would burst my heart.

“I can handle you.”

At those words, Lacius’ pupils shook violently. It was as if I had cut off something he was barely holding on to.

“Now. You better keep your mouth shut.”
