The Archduke’s Gorgeous Wedding Was a Fraud

After a while of observing the aquarium, the princess looked at me and complimented me.

“You are a valuable asset to my reign; you should work in the strategic planning department.”

Her blue eyes gleam like a predator stalking its prey.

I took a step back and let out an awkward laugh.

“Haha, I would not be useful in any way because my body is… cough, weak.”

“You should be fine sitting down and doing some paperwork; you can do it.”

“I am too introverted, shy, and not cut out for office life.”

“You’d handle the employees well. Also, I don’t plan on using you as an ordinary worker. You’ll be in a management position.”

No, Your Highness, please let me go.

I had no intention of working hard for a living.

There were only four things I wanted to do.

To own land, a building, a clothing brand, and an amusement park!

And if you put all of them together and try to figure out what they have in common, only one will come out. They are all going to make me wealthy!

The princess gave me a brief look before changing the subject.

“This time, a request came in from the desert country.”

“A request?”

“Yes, Hertiti wishes to invite you to the desert country, so I have decided to bestow special diplomatic status on you.”

“… … !”

It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. My mind raced as soon as I heard it. There were numerous advantages to visiting the desert country. It was close to Evershal, so I could bring groups of people there to my amusement park. All I had to do was close it for a while for Terrans to avoid conflicts. But, in order to secure such a massive deal, I had to travel to the desert country and speak with their head or something.

‘And I can sell more clothes and actually see how well the clothes sell…’

I would also get a good look at what people in the desert country wear.

“Are you aware that Lakurum is approaching?”

“Yes, I heard.”

“Lacius will be participating in it, and he won’t be back for quite some time.”

As she gently brushed my cheek, the princess smiled, her eyes twinkling.

“Would you like to go together?”

It was an enticing offer that I could not pass up.

The amusement park became more lively as the sky darkened. Only adults remained after the young children had returned home around sunset. Furthermore, those who had not come earlier in the day began to pour in, and the crowd size increased significantly. Lacius, who could not be here during the day due to an important matter, also arrived, and Cynthia and Raziana rushed over after obtaining permission from their families.

It was the second opening ceremony.

“This is so delicious!”

I offered various snacks to Cynthia and Raziana.

The two were particularly drawn to the “Churros.”

“On the surface, it does not appear to be much…… How is it so delicious?”

“Ah, I finished one already; if I eat two, Mother will scold me…”

Cynthia made a wistful face as she looked at her hands, which were empty except for the sweet cinnamon sugar.

It is heartbreaking to see a noblewoman like her cry over a single churros when she can hoard thousands of loaves of bread and throw them away if she wants to.

I eventually relented and offered her what was left of mine.

“If you do not mind, you can have the one I was eating—”

“I want it!”

Cynthia grabbed the churros before I could finish my sentence.

Normally, it is a proposition that could offend someone, but based on her happy reaction, it must be really tasty.

‘Well, it’s fried.’

“Even shoes would taste good fried,” someone once said.

I walked over to Lacius, who was sipping a drink on the other side, leaving Cynthia to enjoy her treat.

There was something he needed to do.

“I will prepare fireworks over there; cover me so no one can see what I am about to do.”

“Alright.”

It would be a shame if we did not have fireworks tonight.

The fireworks were drawn on small pieces of paper.

When it goes off, everyone will be surprised and delighted.

The problem was that no one should see me materialize the firecrackers.

‘I have already prepared a hiding place.’

A secluded nook hidden among the tall grasses.

I purposefully left rocks and foliage in the fence-surrounded area.

I am the only one in this bright spot, and I have already confirmed that no one will go this way even during the day.

“Shoot up into the sky.”

I moved stealthily toward the grassy area, avoiding the gaze of others. There, I arranged seven pieces of paper in a row on the ground. Then I reached out, bringing the drawings to life.

Though I could feel my strength leaving my body, it was not as difficult this time. Maybe it was because the drawings were not as detailed. Nevertheless, when they went off in the night sky with a bang, they looked beautiful.

“Ah, it is lovely…”

It had been a long time since I had seen fireworks with my own eyes.

Because of my job, I had not seen them on TV very often. Going to a place where fireworks were set off or to a fireworks festival was, of course, unthinkable in that situation.

“It’s really pretty.”

I wish I had been able to watch it with Lacius.

‘We should definitely watch it together the next time.’

We can simply set them off at Schweiden Manor.

‘Or should we do it on Shay Island? ‘

He is surprisingly sensitive, so I am sure he will enjoy and even appreciate the fireworks.

I could turn it into a gift for him if I could make even more creative fireworks.

I could hear the excited exclamations and cheers from a distance. Everyone was beaming as they looked up at the distant sky.

‘Did this fulfill one of my dreams? ‘
