The next day, the two of them stood in line in front of Seville Cathedral from early morning. Due to Anna’s late start caused by a passionate night, they had to wait a bit, but Seville Cathedral, the third-largest in the world, was worth the wait as a historical place.

“If this is the third largest in the world, where are the first and second?”

“The first is St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, and the second must be in London.”

“The largest cathedral is in the Vatican. I want to visit both.”

“You can go. Let’s go together. Since one is in Rome, I’ll take you when you come to Rome.”

Anna’s face brightened at the promise of the future.

“Really? I need at least another six months to take a vacation.”

“Then come to Rome next summer. If you want to do anything, just tell me. I’ll make it happen.”

“Just hearing that makes me so excited.”

“I’m not just saying it. I’m very serious.”

“Thank you.”

Anna firmly held Luciano’s hand. Although it was a bit disappointing to have to wait another six months for her vacation, Luciano was so enthusiastic that it made her feel happy. She smiled happily at him, thinking about the day she would see him again when she came to Rome.

As they stood in line, chatting with Luciano, the wait seemed to pass quickly. Seville Cathedral was indeed very large, in line with its reputation as the third-largest cathedral in the world.

While Anna was overwhelmed by the grandeur and splendor of the cathedral, Luciano wasn’t particularly interested in cathedrals, but he found the tomb of Columbus inside Seville Cathedral somewhat intriguing.

“There’s a story that whoever touches the foot of the statue supporting Columbus’s tomb will return to Seville with their loved one. I’m not sure which foot it is, though.”

The feet of the two statues supporting Columbus’s tomb at the front were shining brightly because so many people had touched them. Tourists around the tomb were all touching the feet of the statues.

“That’s an interesting story. Should we give it a try?”

Anna and Luciano touched the foot of the statue supporting Columbus’s tomb.

After taking photos with Luciano inside the cathedral, including the central and silver altars, they noticed a line of people inside the cathedral leading to the Giralda Tower.

“It was fine going up, but it might be more challenging going down if it were stairs.”

Anna eagerly climbed the Giralda Tower along the sloping ramp. If it had been a staircase, she might not have had the courage to climb it.

As they reached the top of the Giralda Tower, a chilly wind blew fiercely. The viewpoint overlooking the beautiful scenery of Seville had large sheets of paper hanging, ready to ring when the time came.

While the view of the entire city of Seville was breathtaking, the crowded observation deck and the constant wind made Anna shiver with cold.

“Let’s go down now.”

Luciano, seeing her like that, suggested they descend quickly.

Coming down was a bit dizzying because the slope of the ramp constantly changed direction. Anna would have had a harder time descending the Giralda Tower if Luciano hadn’t held her hand.

As they descended and walked wherever their feet took them, they eventually arrived at the orange tree garden inside the cathedral.

The garden, with orange trees bearing ripe fruit, was a picturesque place for taking photos. Anna and Luciano walked beneath the orange trees and took pictures together.

“I wonder if these oranges are edible.”

“They’re probably just for show.”

“Oh, really?”

Curious, Anna picked up an orange that had fallen to the ground. The orange had already been split in half, revealing its juicy flesh. It emitted a rich fragrance, but there was no hint of sweetness. Even after she dropped it back on the ground, her hand still carried the scent of oranges.

“I can smell oranges on my hand.”

Sniffing her hand, Luciano took her hand and kissed the back of it.

“It’s true. The scent is so fragrant.”

His eyes were turning a deep blue. Anna now understood what those sparkling blue eyes meant. He wasn’t talking about the scent of oranges; he was talking about her. His intense gaze made her feel warm.

He had mentioned her scent a few times before, so Anna now knew about her own scent, something she hadn’t been aware of. Under the sunlight, she shyly smiled and withdrew her hand.

Leaving Seville Cathedral, the two of them headed to the Alcazar, which was nearby.

Around Seville Cathedral, there were many carriages waiting for tourists. As they passed by the carriages lined up in a long queue, Anna glanced at them briefly.

“Do you want to ride one?”

Luciano noticed her gaze and asked quickly.

“No, I don’t want to ride one. I feel sorry for the horses.”

While the sight of someone waiting and pulling a heavy carriage could tempt a person to want to try it, there was a pitiful aspect to the fate of the horses that had to carry the weight.

“It seems like I’m falling for you again, Anna. How can you be so lovely, even in your kindness?”

Luciano looked at Anna with eyes full of adoration and kissed her.

“Luciano always says I’m lovely no matter what I do.”

“That’s because it’s true, Bella.”

Anna now understood what “Bella” meant. It was the Italian word for beautiful, and Luciano always called her that. She couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed that she wouldn’t hear that endearing nickname as often when she returned to Korea.

The two of them quickly arrived at the Alcazar.

The Alcazar, a blend of Islamic and Spanish styles, had shorter lines than the cathedral, but its interior was uniquely beautiful. Adorned with Islamic geometric patterns and delicate craftsmanship, the Alcazar showcased the essence of Islamic architecture.

The sunlight made the Alcazar itself shimmer. With its strong Islamic atmosphere and lavish decorations, it was also famous as a filming location for the popular American TV series, “Game of Thrones.”

As they ventured into the Alcazar gardens, holding hands and chatting, they strolled through the garden bathed in sunlight, with the scent of fresh trees and grass in the air.

“Anna, are you satisfied with what you’re doing now?”

“Work is just work. It’s all about making money.”

“What was your dream when you were younger?”

“To be an opera singer.”

“Wow! That’s an amazing dream. Did you major in opera?”

Surprised, he looked at Anna with widened eyes.

“No, I didn’t. I just enjoyed singing.”

“Do you still sing? Why didn’t you tell me earlier? I want to hear you sing.”

“No, it’s just a hobby, and I haven’t sung in a long time. Besides, I’m too shy to sing in front of you.”

Anna’s lost dream had become something she didn’t care about anymore. It had been a long time since she practiced singing, and she hesitated to sing in front of Luciano.

When Anna declined again, Luciano visibly showed his disappointment. They changed the topic and chatted about what to have for lunch and which restaurant to visit as they finished their garden stroll.

For dinner, they decided to try Korean cuisine at a Korean restaurant in Seville since Luciano was curious about it. With time still left before their flamenco show, they returned to their accommodation.

And as he wished, Anna sang a song for Luciano.

It was an Italian aria, and while Anna didn’t know Italian well, she had heard it often enough to mimic the pronunciation quite accurately.

Luciano took out his phone and even recorded a video, causing Anna’s face to turn even redder. Nevertheless, she kept her promise and sang the song.

“Bravo!”

Though there was only one audience member, he enthusiastically applauded and even whistled.

“Anna, you’re incredibly talented and amazing! Don’t you know how to sing any other songs? I want to hear more.”

He genuinely admired Anna and hugged her tightly, showering her with kisses. Anna couldn’t open her eyes in the downpour of kisses.

“I promised to sing only one song.”

“What do I need to do to hear more of your songs?”

With his intense eyes and a pleading expression, Luciano made Anna laugh.

“Stop it, don’t be so serious. It was just an imitation, that’s all.”

Luciano had been praising her talents incessantly until just before they went to see the flamenco show. He complimented her to the point where Anna felt embarrassed. She was only slightly better at singing, but he made her feel like she was as brilliant as a star in the Seville night sky.

The time spent with Luciano in Seville felt like a fleeting moment. They watched football together and relaxed in the Plaza de España.

While they didn’t attend a bullfight, there were plenty of things to see and do in Seville, even more than in Madrid. Thanks to Anna’s newfound love for flamenco, they watched a flamenco show every evening in Seville.

In fact, every moment spent with him in Spain was like this. Their time together was far too short. Every minute felt precious.

Anna remembered Luciano during the journey from Seville to Barcelona. He had been lost in thought the entire time, looking oddly distant. She wondered if it had something to do with his strange behavior earlier that day. She couldn’t fathom what he wanted to talk about, no matter how much she thought about it.

He called her name again, his fingers gently caressing her cheek. His touch was so tender that it felt like feathers brushing against her skin. Anna quietly waited for him to continue.

“I’m feeling anxious.”

“Why?”

“We’re going to part ways soon. Will you keep in touch with me when you return to Korea?”

It was the first time he mentioned their impending separation. Anna had been avoiding the topic because just thinking about saying goodbye was painful.

They had made plans for what they would do next and where they would go, but the uncertainty of when they would finally reunite made Anna’s heart ache. She couldn’t be sure if those plans would ever come to fruition.

Whether she knew it or not, the idea of not seeing Luciano again was terrifying. That’s why she deliberately didn’t bring up the topic and chose to ignore it.

“Of course, Luciano. I want to keep in touch with you and stay connected. You want the same, don’t you?”

“Anna!”

He hugged her tightly and kissed her passionately, so deeply that it took her breath away. His kiss was intense, his tongue exploring every corner of her mouth. He held her with a desperation that showed he didn’t want to let her go.

After a long and intense kiss, he reluctantly pulled his lips away.

“I want to stay in touch with you too. If I could, I’d talk to you every day, all the time. But there’s the time difference, and you might be busy and unable to answer my messages. If we’re apart for too long…”

He hesitated, his expression filled with anxiety.

“I’m afraid your feelings might change. I’m afraid you’ll get tired of me.”

It was an emotional confession, full of passion and vulnerability. While he hadn’t explicitly said he loved her, his confession came very close to expressing his love.

His previously unwavering, upright gaze that always met Anna’s eyes without hesitation was now filled with uncertainty. The depth of his anxious eyes was breathtaking, and watching him made her heart ache.

“Luciano, to be honest, I was anxious too. I didn’t know what would happen when we went back. Of course, I wanted to keep in touch with you. But I also worried that your feelings might change.”

“I won’t change!”

“Luciano, you’re handsome, and that makes me anxious.”

“I’m anxious because you’re beautiful. I feel like someone might steal you away. Remember how that guy attached himself to you in Consuegra?”

“Luciano…”

He was the only one who saw her in such a charming light. But thanks to his honest confession about his anxieties, Anna felt somewhat relieved. Just like her, he didn’t want to part ways.

With a man who confessed his feelings so sincerely, Anna felt it was time for her to reveal the anxieties she had kept hidden. She didn’t want to regret not expressing herself when she had the chance. This was the right moment.

“There’s something I want to ask you.”

“What is it?”

“Can you endure being apart without sex during the time we won’t see each other?”

Anna was worried. It was a well-known fact that men were more susceptible to sexual temptation than women. With a man as passionate as Luciano, she wondered if he could resist during their time apart.

She knew he wasn’t a womanizer, but because she loved him, she was afraid.

The sex with him felt like a complete connection of body and soul. Because of that, it was even better, and she didn’t want to share that man’s body with anyone else.

She wanted to keep him all to herself.

How his penis looked, the way he moaned, how intense his expression and gaze were during climax; she wanted to see it all. Anna was surprised by her newfound possessiveness, but she felt like she was going crazy with the desire to monopolize him.

But Luciano was a trustworthy man who kept his promises. That’s why she wanted to hear his assurance. Otherwise, if he were to mention an open relationship during their time apart, saying it wouldn’t matter if he saw someone else…

“What about you? Can you handle it, Anna?”

“I can handle it.”

“Anna, you’re the one who wanted me all the time. You’re sensitive, you get wet easily, and you tighten so well. Of course, I wanted you, too, but do you know how hard I tried to satisfy you? Every time we made love, your body was so erotic. Now, just looking at you gets me hard.”

Anna blushed deeply at his explicit words. It was only now that she realized she had not just fulfilled his desires but had taken all of his vigor upon herself.

Sex was a sport that got better with practice.

She could match his stamina and passion, as Anna was just as passionate as Luciano.

“I’ve gone 29 years without sex.”

“You just started late. You know that now, right? Can you endure it without me?”

“I’m not an animal.”

“Neither am I, Anna. And I don’t want any other women. The only one I want is you. I’ll miss you when we’re apart, but that doesn’t mean I’d hold another woman. I don’t need a substitute. I want you, and only you.”

Anna realized she had been worrying needlessly due to Luciano’s words. But she needed this confirmation, and she needed to hear it directly. Sometimes, words were unnecessary and meaningless, but there were times when words were essential to understand something fully.

“I’m sorry. I guess I had silly concerns. Luciano, you’re not that kind of person.”

“No, Anna. I had the same concerns. You said it well.”

He gently touched his forehead to Anna’s, their warm skin pressed together. It felt as unyielding as his promise and his heart underneath that warm skin.

Luciano whispered seductively, his expression and gaze turning sexy.

“I have a taste for a certain pussy, and only you have it, Anna.”

His voice grew deeper and more dangerous. Anna’s heart pounded at the sultry whisper, and her sensitive core throbbed sweetly in response. Her body, aroused by him, involuntarily reacted.

“When I go back to Korea, how will you satisfy yourself without me?”

Anna taunted him.

“I would masturbate while looking at pictures of your pussy. When you return, you can show me during our video calls, right?”

“Luciano!”

Shocked by the unexpectedly explicit words, Anna called his name.

His intimidating penis thrust deep inside her. Because of the deep penetration, Anna moaned for a long time.

“When you go back to Korea, if someone asks, tell them you have a lover, Anna.”

Lost in the relentless thrusting, Anna replied with a breathless ‘yes.’
