Sweet Melodies of Time's Seduction

The Devil's Entanglement (2)

Staring, glaring, I’ll glare you to death!

Su Xiaoye reached out to reclaim what was rightfully hers, but due to the height difference, she couldn’t even touch the guy’s arm.

Luo Sichen easily held Su Xiaoye’s ID card high, teasing her, “Su Xiaoye, your wild and tricky personality really suits you.”

“Hey, you brat, did your parents foresee at your birth that you’d be a wilful, unruly little rascal, and that’s why they gave you this name?”

Luo Sichen’s banter grew stronger, and suddenly, he realized that this stubborn girl was rather amusing when provoked.

“You’re the only wilful one here. I, Miss Su, am naturally beautiful, kind, innocent, and lovely, envied by countless people.”

Su Xiaoye was fuming. From her childhood until now, nobody had dared to speak to her this way. This infuriating person was simply impatient with life.

“Ha, arrogant.”

“Fine, here’s your ID card back, but remember, you owe me a favor. You have to repay it.”

Luo Sichen took out his phone from his pocket, checked the incoming call display, and then tossed Su Xiaoye’s ID card back to her. He left after saying these two sentences and answered the phone.

“Neurotic! He takes the call and leaves, and he doesn’t even apologize for interrupting my call!” Su Xiaoye reluctantly caught her ID card, tucked it into her bag, and cast a spiteful glance at the departing figure.

She still couldn’t fathom how her ID card ended up with him.

Frowning, Su Xiaoye found this incident quite careless. It was not her usual style.

After an unpleasant incident, Su Xiaoye tried to put it behind her, considering that it was her first day at this school, and she would encounter more people and situations in the future.

She checked the time; it was nearly 2 o’clock. Just on her first day at this new school, she had already taken half a day off. If she arrived late now, she wouldn’t be able to forgive herself. So, without dwelling on it any longer, she hurried to the classroom.

Su Xiaoye entered the classroom as the bell rang, and everyone’s eyes were fixed on her.

“Hello, teacher. I just transferred here and had to take the morning off.”

Feeling uncomfortable under the gaze of the others, Su Xiaoye directly approached the teacher and explained.

“Okay, you must be Su Xiaoye. Please be more punctual next time. Saint Anne High School is not an ordinary school; it has strict rules and regulations.”

“For now, you can sit at the last row in the middle group. After the first exam, I will arrange a permanent seat for you, alright?”

The teacher explained while pointing to an empty seat.

Su Xiaoye glanced at it; it was the last row. It didn’t matter; she wasn’t a good student anyway. She nodded politely, “Okay, thank you, teacher.”

Having expressed her gratitude, Su Xiaoye turned and walked towards the last row.

As she passed by an empty seat in another row, she stopped for a moment. That empty seat was by the window, with a great view.

Why didn’t the teacher let her sit there?

Shaking her head, she decided to let it go. After all, it was her first day at the school, and she knew she would have to deal with more people and situations in the future.

“Plop…” When Su Xiaoye sat down, her phone slipped from her bag and fell to the ground with a noticeable sound.

Several people nearby glanced at her. Su Xiaoye furrowed her brows and bent down to pick it up.

Seeing that the screen was flashing, Su Xiaoye swiped it open out of habit, planning to check if she had missed a call…
