Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

Identity Badges

When he was little, his sleeping posture was indeed not very good, but they didn’t know it.

Later, as he gradually grew up, his sleeping posture improved.

Wen Xiaoxiao saw his reaction and had a guess in her heart.

After breakfast, Wen Xiaoxiao gathered everyone together.

She asked Wu Xiaoyi to be responsible for distributing the identity badges to them.

Wen Xiaoxiao explained some rules to him and handed him the two gray bags. “Brother Wu, the bag on my left hand contains pills. Taking them will give them benefits. The bag on my right hand contains identity badges. Just a drop of blood and your name will appear. After that, you can come and go freely.”

Those without identity badges cannot enter. Even if they were taken away by others, the person who took them still wouldn’t be able to enter. As such, there was no need to worry about having their identity badge taken away.

Listening to Wen Xiaoxiao’s voice, Wu Xiaoyi felt a bit dreamlike but nodded seriously.

As long as they followed Wen Xiaoxiao’s instructions, there shouldn’t be any problems.

After that, Wen Xiaoxiao asked him to distribute these things to them.

Hearing Wen Xiaoxiao’s words, the survivors felt like she was a living bodhisattva, and they all looked at her with gratitude.

No matter if they were children, old people, or middle-aged people, they were all so grateful and looked at Wen Xiaoxiao with sincerity.

In this world, there are both good and bad people.

Some good people turn bad, while some bad people turn good.

The dozens of survivors were originally kind-hearted people. Maintaining kindness and a good heart in the apocalypse was indeed a rare sight to be seen.

During this time, Wen Xiaoxiao had also come to terms with things.

She could help them to some extent. While there might be a few white-eyed wolves, it wasn’t an absolute, right?

The identity badges were distributed one by one. Wen Xiaoxiao nodded in satisfaction seeing that.

Bo Yiliang watched Wen Xiaoxiao like this, and a smile appeared on his lips.

Qi Yan and the others had finished eating and went for a stroll.

Wen Xiaoxiao returned to her room, took some seeds, and planned to let them plant them.

She decided that after some time, she and Bo Yiliang would go find his parents.

Although he didn’t say much, she could still sense a hint of worry between his brows.

Bo Yilang might seem cold and silent, but after spending so much time together, she knew he was a good person.

She carried the various seeds outside and watched as Wu Xiaoyi distributed them into their hands.

After distributing them, Wu Xiaoyi walked to her direction and said, “Xiaoxiao, is there anything else you need to be instructed about?”

“No, there’s nothing else to instruct.” Wen Xiaoxiao said.

Then she continued, “I brought some seeds for you. There’s plenty of land here, and you can plant them.”

Wu Xiaoyi nodded in agreement.

He had looked at those lands earlier. Although he didn’t understand much about the land, the few elderly survivors among the fifty-plus people did.

They claimed that the quality was excellent, even better than before the apocalypse.

Those elderly people were very passionate about the land.

They had spent their youth living off the land, and now, in their old age, they enjoy planting vegetables the most. It was comfortable and relaxing.

Moreover, the air in this base was excellent, the houses were good, and there was land—these old folks were living the good life.

Wen Xiaoxiao looked at them with a smile on her face.

In fact, this arrangement was not bad. At least, with more people, it was lively and crowded. They provided a comfortable and cozy place for the elderly.

Several children ran around laughing. Their joyful laughter infected Wen Xiaoxiao.

Watching her five chubby little darlings run around, Wen Xiaoxiao’s heart melted like water.

But Bo Yiliang’s gaze remained on Wen Xiaoxiao. On his eyes, there was doting look.

  1. M&M's says:

So Wen Xiaoxiao isn’t going to explain that they’re Loyalty Pills? I wonder what exactly those pills do–will they make them loyal to her or will they do nothing but have negative side-effects only if they have thoughts of betrayal against her and/or the base?

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
