Wen Xiaoxiao rolled her eyes and muttered to herself, “Don’t you have a bit of common sense?”
She initially wanted to have a good conversation with it, but it turned out to be quite talkative, leaving her a bit overwhelmed.
“Humph!”
Peach was also angry, pouting as it stood on the peach tree, muttering, “It obviously doesn’t talk that much, does it?”
It’s not a human yet, it’s just a slightly bigger than ordinary peach that can talk.
As the two green leaves on the peach fluttered in the wind, it reflected on its own words, wondering if it was really as talkative as Wen Xiaoxiao claimed.
Bo Yiliang watched Wen Xiaoxiao and Peach talk to each other and said, “Taking advantage of the present moment, I’ll take Meng Qing and the others to Xieshui City to pick them up. You stay here, I’ll be back soon.”
Wen Xiaoxiao frowned. But looking at his determined expression, she reluctantly agreed.
She went to the room, informed the children, and then led them out of the RV before going to the nearby house.
Yun Jiao and her children also came down, as did Pei Xi.
After fetching some food for lunch and dinner from the RV, Bo Yiliang took his three friends and Cheng Yi to Xieshui City to pick them up.
Wen Xiaoxiao watched the RV leave her sight before leading them into the room.
Taking a few small ones to the second floor, the rest stayed on the first floor.
–
Bao Yiliang left the base and headed towards Xieshui City. If nothing unexpected happened, he would be back by two or three in the afternoon.
The number of zombies outside had increased significantly. Bao Yiliang’s cold eyes glanced out of the window.
Inside the spacious RV, only five people remained, making it feel somewhat empty.
“Suddenly there are fewer people. It feels a bit strange and uncomfortable,” Meng Qing said, rubbing his head.
There were only a few people. No one spoke, and it was silent for a long time, making the atmosphere extremely eerie.
“Yeah, I feel the same way. It’s not quite right.” Earlier, there were sounds of children playing, but now it was eerily quiet. Jiang Fuci is not used to it.
Qi Yan remained quiet. He looked at Bo Yiliang and asked, “Yiliang, when are we going back to City B?”
He was a bit worried about his parents and family back in City B.
Bao Yiliang shared the same concern as him, but he knew that he couldn’t rush things. Once everything was arranged, he planned to leave and return to City B. He had to because he knew that his mother was worried about him again.
But his mother should be looking forward to her grandchildren even more!
After thinking for a moment, Bo Yiliang says, “After a while, once everything is settled, we’ll return to City B.”
At that time, he’ll bring his wife and children along.
The realization that he’s now a married man hits him.
He hasn’t been out for long, yet he’s already missing his wife. He didn’t know if she also missed him.
Wen Xiaoxiao’s figure filled Bo Yiliang’s mind.
“Boom…”
A sudden loud noise brought Bo Yiliang back to reality.
Cheng Yi, who was driving the RV, looked terrified with his face turning pale.
There was a thick and long monster blocking their way outside.
It’s too big to identify at a glance. No one in the group knows it.
Although Cheng Yi couldn’t see it clearly, he sensed that it would be a formidable opponent due to its massive size.
“What’s going on?” Meng Qing asked in confusion.
Bo Yiliang remained silent. He closed his eyes and used his mental power to see the situation outside.
What greeted him was the creature’s dark black skin, which looked smooth.
Its body was much sturdier than theirs, making it clear that it was not an easy opponent. This made Bo Yiliang frown. He had a feeling that the situation wouldn’t be that simple.
Looking up, the group still can’t see the creature’s appearance.
The unknown entity blocked their way. They could not go forward.
The road was originally narrow, and now, with its massive body blocking the road, they couldn’t drive.
Using his mental power again, Bo Yiliang tried to see the situation only to discover what it was.
It turns out to be…
Are animals now also turning into zombies? I don’t think the effect of the apocalypse on animals has been addressed yet, so if that’s so, then I feel sorry for everyone at or near zoos at the time of the apocalypse, lol. For the newly created base, Wen Xiaoxiao and the others had better think of establishing some general rules and how best to utilize the lands in there. It would be a great idea to implement some kind of point system or something for ordinary people to work on the lands and perform other non-zombie-related tasks inside the base so that they can contribute to the base while earning their living expenses at the same time. It’s only fair that supernatural humans work to kill zombies and ordinary humans work to improve the living conditions of the base; it’ll also help ordinary humans feel valued and productive in times where supernatural humans are seen as superior beings.
Thanks for the chapter! 😀
