He was saved.
Shen Jiang raised his head and looked at the man in black clothes.
In the man’s hands, the dagger was still dripping with blood.
“Thank you… thank you…” Shen Jiang said in a hoarse voice. His eyes were fixed on Qin Ye.
“No need,” Qin Ye replied coldly without any emotion.
“How were you captured?” Qin Ye asked, looking at Shen Jiang who was bound before him.
The moment Shen Jiang recalled this, anger surged within him.
He said angrily, “Most of us are international students, and a small portion are immigrants living here.”
“At the beginning, the virus broke out in M Country, then it soon turned into a zombie apocalypse.”
“At that time, everyone was in panic and fear. After a few days, some people developed special abilities.”
“The established base mostly consisted of these ability users. Ordinary people were not allowed to go inside, only those with supernatural powers. If a person with special ability had family members who were ordinary, they were also allowed inside.”
“Later, those international students like us from Country Z were captured and used as experimental subjects.”
“Several of my good friends have already been tortured beyond recognition.” Shen Jiang said, closing his eyes.
Remembering his countrymen being injected with medicine by Eliotis, a look of pain crossed his face.
“They convulsed, foaming at the mouth, and their eyes turned bloodshot. They lay on the ground, growling in pain.”
The more he thought about it, the more agitated he became. These were people he had known for two or three years, and now they were being tortured beyond recognition.
Qin Ye’s face darkened after hearing Shen Jiang’s words.
Looking at the other Country Z people bound before him, their eyes were filled with fear and terror.
They looked at Qin Ye, first from horror to surprise.
Shen Jiang also gazed at Qin Ye and asked, “Well, can you save us?”
“Yes.” Qin Ye replied indifferently.
His sole purpose for coming here was to see the situation. He didn’t expect it to be worse than he imagined.
He was even more surprised to find that these despicable individuals from Country M would actually use people from Z Country as experimental subjects.
“How many more people from Country Z are here?” Qin Ye asked. There had to be more than just these people here. There were likely many others in other places.
Shen Jiang thought for a moment. He was captured earlier and locked in a prison-like cell. There were no windows except for one door, making it airtight.
Then he said, “It seems to be nearby, but I don’t know the exact location. We were all blindfolded when brought here.”
“All right! Let me untie you first. Stay here first. I’ll go out to see if I can find that place and then bring you out.” Qin Ye said.
Since he had already achieved his goal, there was no need to stay here any longer.
Once he found the other people of Country Z, he would lead them out of this dreadful place.
These international students came here to study. Although this place is developed, they had never intended to stay here permanently. They all planned to return to their home country once they successfully completed their studies. Even though it was good here, it couldn’t compare to their own homeland.
Originally, they should have been able to return this year.
Who would have expected such an incident to occur where they, the people of Country Z, were being used as experimental subjects? Shen Jiang even started to regret coming here, but what difference would regret make?
They also have local friends here, and it was these friends who allowed them to be easily captured.
Their poor choice of friends had now placed them in a dangerous situation.
Not to mention that those friends were also people from Country Z. So who cares about being an international student now? They were not even treated as human beings. Survival in this place is becoming increasingly difficult.
So people from Country Z betrayed other people from their own country? That’s pretty messed up. Hopefully those who were injected with that unknown liquid can be still be saved and return to normal, but if not, at least it’s better than continuing to be used as an experimental subject. I would have loved if the leaders and the crazy scientist were injected with the same thing they used to torture others, but it’s a shame it wouldn’t work given the current circumstances.
Thanks for the chapter! 😀
