M Country.
Qin Ye killed the last zombie and wrapped himself tightly.
Having arrived in M Country about one or two months ago, he spent another half month seeking out the leaders of M Country with the help of other people.
Swiftly maneuvering through crowded areas, Qin Ye entered a base.
It’s noisy inside and even more chaotic outside.
When he came to M Country, there were many corpses lying around on the road, both zombies and human beings.
The devastation was overwhelming.
M Country, once flourishing and magnificent, had now become a wasteland.
It’s far worse than Z Country, multiple times over.
“Leader, what should we do now? Our country is in chaos. Tens of thousands of people have died.”
A man behind the leader said anxiously.
The leader of M Country he was talking to was a man in his forties or fifties with an ugly appearance.
The leader couldn’t accept the situation either.
Qin Ye listened, a mocking smile playing on the corner of his lips.
He hid in a concealed spot, eavesdropping on their conversation.
“Haven’t Eliotis developed a cure yet?”
“No, Mr. Eliotis said this virus was brought by a small asteroid. He can’t figure it out for now,” Berthelia replied.
“Isn’t the base already built? Recruit more ability users and then send some into the laboratory. Let Eliotis see if he can research a potion that allows a person to gain abilities and enhance them…”
Berthelia, despite being terrified by what was happening outside, had to accept the situation.
The leader Eli Wilno was currently in a terrible mood.
His well-thought-out plans had all gone awry. How can he not be angry?
After hearing their conversation, Qin Ye cast a cold and murderous gaze toward them.
Qin Ye swiftly approached with a knife sliding out of his sleeve. Seizing the moment when the two men were distracted, he made a quick and gentle slash across their necks, causing blood to spurt out.
The two men looked at each other with expressions of disbelief.
One of them pointed at Qin Ye and stammered, “You…you…”
Without completing his sentence, he collapsed on the cold ground, his eyes reflecting shock, and his life was draining away.
“So weak.” Qin Ye disdainfully looked at the lifeless bodies on the ground.
Killing them now is a preventive measure. Otherwise, they could cause harm to others if left alive. They were just like cancer.
Leaving the area where the conversation took place, Qin Ye left the base and headed in the direction of the laboratory.
The laboratory was built temporarily. The previous laboratory was destroyed, so another one was built.
It was not as big as the previous laboratory but well-equipped with various instruments.
Qin Ye’s abilities are invisibility and metal element.
Utilizing his invisibility power, he entered the laboratory and observed the numerous ability users bound and showing signs of pain on their faces.
His eyes fell upon Eliotis, who was holding a syringe and was about to attack a student from Z Country.
Eliotis’s face showed both excitement and madness.
The Z Country student closed his eyes and dared not look.
Because he knew that he had no chance of escape.
He had witnessed his fellow countrymen twitching in pain after being injected, foaming at the mouth, and rolling on the ground.
Those people came from the same country as him and also his roommates.
He looked at that scene in disbelief, his eyes turning bloodshot. He wished he could beat the foreigner holding the syringe.
It’s a pity that he won’t have that chance, because he would meet the same end now.
The expected pain did not come. He slowly opened his eyes and saw Eliotis lying motionless on the ground. He was dead.
Never thought I’d see invisibility as a supernatural ability in the apocalypse, lol. It’s good that Qin Ye could kill the people involved with the virus, but I wonder how he plans to rescue the people in the lab, especially those who can’t even move normally, without being caught by others in Country M.
Thanks for the chapter! 😀
