Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

Finding a Place

After having lunch and taking a short break, Wen Xiaoxiao greeted Wu Xiaoyi and had Cheng Yi drive the RV away.

The journey was far from peaceful. Just a dozen kilometers into their drive, they encountered several waves of evolved zombies.

After being affected by nearly a month of black rain, these zombies had significantly increased in speed and attack capabilities.

Dealing with them was challenging for the group. Despite their abilities leveling up to level four over the past few months, the three friends of Bo Yiliang only reached level three. Pei Xi, being a strength-based ability user, gained some additional strength.

Even so, the group found it difficult to handle the evolved zombies.

Despite the difficulty, facing these zombies is the most effective way to enhance their strength.

After an exhausting battle, several people returned to the RV and breathed heavily. Seated on the sofa, each person gulped down water as if their lives depended on it.

The weather outside was scorching hot, and after battling with the zombies for so long, they felt their mouths dry and their clothes soaked with sweat.

“This unpredictable weather is really irritating. It was freezing a few days ago, and now it’s scorching hot!” Wen Xiaoxiao sighed and said weakly.

“Who said it isn’t? Freezing to death a few days ago, and now roasting alive.” Jiang Fuci was sprawled on the sofa and replied lazily.

Bo Yiliang observed the scene outside the RV with a cold expression.

Who could have imagined that the once bustling city filled with high-rise buildings would end up like this?

Was it a result of a natural disaster, or was someone deliberately causing all this chaos? The world turning into a zombie-infested place is now a mystery.

The entire world had fallen prey to the virus, turning into a land of the undead.

If it was a natural disaster, Bo Yiliang could accept it. But if it was intentional, then the heart of that person must be exceptionally cruel. What could they possibly gain from all this?

Perhaps, during his almost one-year-long coma, unexpected events occurred.

As Bo Yiliang thought about this, his eyes were covered with coldness.

Putting aside these thoughts, Bo Yiliang shook his head to clear his mind.

Looking at Wen Xiaoxiao sitting beside him, chatting and laughing happily with his friends, a sour feeling surged in his heart.

Although he knew his friends wouldn’t have any ill intentions toward Wen Xiaoxiao, jealousy still gnawed at him.

Bo Yiliang gently captured Wen Xiaoxiao’s white and tender hand, placed it in his large palm, and played with it.

He gave her palm a little squeeze. It was soft, just like her…

Soft and tender.

Thinking about that day when he accidentally held two soft and tender things in his hands, his face involuntarily blushed. The tips of his ears turned a shade of red.

Wen Xiaoxiao frowned slightly and glared at Bo Yiliang with dissatisfaction. However, her harmless glare seemed to trigger something in him. His face turned suspiciously red for some unknown reason.

When her gaze met his, she realized that he was absentmindedly squeezing her hand, lost in his own thoughts.

It seemed that both of them recalled that particular day.

Wen Xiaoxiao, wrapped in a towel, had gone to find Bo Yiliang to ask him to sleep with the five children. However, things didn’t go as planned. She accidentally tripped, and instead of catching her, Bo Yiliang ended up beneath her.

Thinking of that moment, Wen Xiaoxiao still felt a bit dissatisfied. With a sly thought in mind, she glared at Bo Yiliang, who in return, blushed even more after noticing her gaze.

Wen Xiaoxiao couldn’t help but giggle, finding his reaction amusing. She recalled that Bo Yiliang often kissed her, and afterward, his face would turn flush and shy.

“It feels like having a little wife.” The mental image was too much for Wen Xiaoxiao, and she couldn’t help shivering at the thought.

She couldn’t imagine how a seemingly emotionless man could transform into a little wife.

Unable to contain her laughter, Wen Xiaoxiao involuntarily chuckled. She realized she might have overthought things. After all, how could a man with a stoic expression turn into a little wife?

Little did she know that Bo Yiliang, in response to her playful thoughts, had planned a little punishment for her at night.

He found a spot, drawing circles on it, causing her to curse Bo Yiliang, feeling miserable and crying.

Feeling regret for the stupid thing she did that day.

Of course, Wen Xiaoxiao remained blissfully unaware of this.

  1. M&M's says:

Things are heating up between Wen Xiaoxiao and Bo Yiliang pretty quickly, and I’m guessing those “circles” he made are hickeys? At the rate it’s going, Bo Yiliang will constantly be on the attack while Wen Xiaoxiao will never truly win against him, lol.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
