Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

Arrangements

Bo Yiliang coldly glanced at the three spectators.

Holding Wen Xiaoxiao’s soft and boneless hand with his big palm, he walked downstairs.

He threw a quick glance at Wen Xiao and the others.

Does he care about his face? He was actually teased by his son. If it weren’t for the fact that he was the father, he would have thought that this kid belonged to his brother. After all, they had the same personality.

Sitting on the sofa, Bo Yibing rubbed his nose and let out a loud sneeze. The sound was clearly audible in the living room.

Mrs. Bo looked at her younger son with concern and asked, “Yibing, are you catching a cold?”

“No, Mom, it must be that my brother is missing me.” Bo Yibing comforted his mother and said narcissistically.

Mrs. Bo sighed and said, “You see, it’s been so long and your brother hasn’t come back yet. Has something happened to delay him?”

She had been looking forward to her granddaughter and grandsons coming back for so long. Her son and husband were staying with her, but they didn’t accompany her or chat with her, which was quite difficult for her.

“Mom, look at the black rain outside. Can they drive? It’s so dangerous.” Bo Yibing pointed outside the window and said.

Following his gaze, Mrs. Bo looked outside and saw the pouring black rain.

Worry resurfaced in her heart.

Seeing his mother like this, Bo Yibing shook his head helplessly.

After having dinner, Wen Xiaoxiao and the others got off the RV and went to the warehouse.

The survivors in the warehouse looked at Wen Xiaoxiao with hopeful eyes.

Most of the elderly people were very gentle. After all, they were old. For them, as long as there was a safe place to live and enough food to eat, it was enough.

There were also twenty or thirty children who looked at Wen Runhan with envy.

Looking at the clothes he wore before, thwy were more worn out than theirs, but now Wen Runhan was wearing warm and clean clothes. They looked at Wen Xiaoxiao with expectation in their eyes.

Wen Xiaoxiao frowned but didn’t say anything. She couldn’t say whether these children were good or bad. Considering their age, she couldn’t judge.

However, seeing them wearing tattered clothes, she couldn’t help but feel disturbed in her heart. After all, they were still children.

Wen Xiaoxiao looked at Wu Xiaoyi and said, “Brother Wu, it’s raining heavily outside, and there’s no way to go out. You guys stay here for now. When the black rain stops, I’ll take you to a base.”

Those survivors present had smiles on their faces and were filled with excitement after hearing her words.

One by one, they sat up from the ground and looked at Wen Xiaoxiao.

Although this place is temporarily safe, the warehouse is damp, emitting an unpleasant musty smell, and it is particularly cold.

Wen Xiaoxiao initially thought about letting these children stay in the RV, but seeing so many of them, there wasn’t enough space, and the noise would be bothersome. Therefore, she had to let them stay in the warehouse for the time being.

Wu Xiaoyi agreed with Wen Xiaoxiao’s suggestion. After all, she provided them with food and several blankets, which was already good enough.

Wen Xiaoxiao asked Qi Yan, Jiang Fuci, and Meng Qing to bring some food.

Wu Xiaoyi looked at Wen Xiaoxiao with complicated emotions. He glanced at the intertwined hands of the two, and a dark unclear look appeared in his eyes.

Wen Xiaoxiao said to Wu Xiaoyi, “I’ll take a few younger children with me and plan to bring them along. Is that okay?”

“Sure.” Wu Xiaoyi was naturally willing to let Wen Xiaoxiao take them away. It was more comfortable for them to be in her car than to stay here.

Several children listened. Although they were a bit envious, they were still sensible. They were around ten years old, while others were four or five years old.

Wen Xiaoxiao looked at the group and saw that they were huddled together. They were not much older than her own children and neither cried nor made trouble.

As a mother herself, even if her heart is tough, Wen Xiaoxiao still felt a bit of pity for these children. Especially since they were abandoned by their parents and had suffered severe trauma.

Those children huddled together and looked at Wen Xiaoxiao with dull and lifeless eyes. Their eyes were wide open, and they were gazing at her dumbly with no emotion.

Squatting down in front of the younger children, Wen Xiaoxiao softened her voice and said, “Do you want to come with your big sister?”

The five younger children looked at Wen Xiaoxiao without saying a word.

There are three boys and two girls.

They all gazed at her dumbly and blankly.

These five younger children were also abandoned by their parents and suffered psychological trauma.

Therefore, their minds are much more sensitive than those of other children.

  1. M&M's says:

Are all the abandoned children orphans like Wen Runhan or were they abandoned by their parents after the apocalypse? Since there are both elderly and middle-aged adults there, I would think that not all the children were originally orphans, but that makes it even worse.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
