Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

Looking for Brother

Bo Yiliang spent quite some time washing his face to remove the drawings. Looking at himself in the mirror, he found his face to be simply unbearable to look at.

The corners of Bo Yiliang’s mouth twitched. Why did he feel that his youngest son was becoming more and more like his little brother, that bastard?

After today’s little episode, the atmosphere in the house was noticeably calm.

At night, after Wen Xiaoxiao finished bathing and lay down on the bed, Peach’s voice sounded.

“Master, master, I sensed your brother’s location, but the situation doesn’t seem to be good.” Peach chirped.

Wen Xiaoxiao suppressed the joy in her heart and asked with a trembling voice, “Where is he?”

“He’s in the east of Xieshui City, more than 20 kilometers from here. It will take two or three hours to reach that location,” Peach replied.

“Master, your brother’s situation is not very good.” Peach reminded him once again.

“Okay!” Wen Xiaoxiao maintained a calm expression, but inside she was really panicking in her heart. She felt anxious and a bit afraid that something might have happened to him.

So Wen Xiaoxiao got dressed and went downstairs. The living room was quiet since everyone had returned to their rooms to rest.

Looking out the window, Wen Xiaoxiao saw that it was still raining heavily with black droplets.

She was a little worried that the children would fall off the bed when driving later because they were so dishonest about sleeping.

Wen Xiaoxiao went upstairs and knocked on Bo Yiliang’s door.

It didn’t take long for Bo Yiliang to open the door. He looked at Wen Xiaoxiao and asked, “What’s the matter?”

“Well! I need to find my brother now. Peach says his situation is not very good. I’m a little worried. Could you go to my room and take care of the kids for a while? My bed is larger, so you can sleep there temporarily. Your bed is too small and can’t accommodate so many people. I’m afraid that if you all fall asleep, the children might get squeezed off the bed.” Wen Xiaoxiao said.

Bo Yiliang furrowed his brow, looking at her and said, “Driving now is too dangerous, especially with the rain outside. Can’t it wait until tomorrow?”

Bo Yiliang looked at Wen Xiaoxiao with a hint of worry in his eyes.

“It’s okay. I’ll be careful.” Wen Xiaoxiao said with a smile.

Although she pretended to be calm, she felt her heart flutter when Bo Yiliang expressed his concern to her.

Wen Xiaoxiao was lost in her thoughts and didn’t notice Bo Yiliang’s movements. Suddenly, she felt a warmth. Lifting her head, she saw Bo Yiliang holding her in his arms.

Although it felt very comfortable and warm, she still escaped from his embrace.

Bo Yiliang watched her disappearing figure and wanted to say something, but she was already gone. He could only swallow the words he wanted to say.

Bo Yiliang didn’t think too much about it and went to Wen Xiaoxiao’s room. It was nicely decorated and had a warm ambience. The five children were sleeping soundly, oblivious to the outside world.

After entering, Bo Yiliang lay down where Wen Xiaoxiao had been sleeping and sensed the lingering fragrance unique to her.

Wen Xiaoxiao blushed a bit as she ran away, and then she went to the driver’s seat.

She looked at the RV and drove towards the location Peach mentioned. The road was not stable.

Not only was it raining heavily outside, but there were also many zombies roaming around.

Fortunately, a simple array was set up outside the car, preventing the zombies from getting too close.

After driving for more than three hours, Wen Xiaoxiao finally reached his destination. The surroundings were desolate, showing no signs of human activity.

Meanwhile, inside the warehouse, the people had already accepted their fate to die.

Wu Xiaoyi looked heavy-hearted as he watched the old people and children. He felt a pang of pain in his heart, but he was helpless.

While he was thinking about the situation, a gleam of light shone in from outside.

Wen Xiaoxiao parked the RV at the warehouse entrance, making it easier to enter inside.

Inside the RV, she took out many snacks from the space, along with the bread she had collected from the supermarket earlier and some milk, and prepared to give them to everyone.

Wu Xiaoyi looked out the window with a vigilant expression. Seeing the large car parked there, he felt a mix of joy and worry.

He used his mental power to check the identity of the person outside, but he inexplicably encountered some obstruction and couldn’t see what was happening inside.

Wen Xiaoxiao got everything ready inside the RV and came down. She walked to the warehouse door, knocked on it, and called out, “Is anyone there?”

Hearing a female voice outside, Wu Xiaoyi’s worries eased a bit. After all, there wasn’t much left for them.

With this thought in mind, he opened the door of the warehouse from the inside.

When the people in the warehouse heard that someone was coming from outside, they were filled with happiness and hoped that it would be a good person who could save them.

When the warehouse door opened, Wu Xiaoyi vaguely saw the woman’s appearance, which surprised him. He pointed at her and said, “You’re Xiaoxiao, Wen Xiaoxiao, right?”

Wu Xiaoyi was a bit excited, but soon sadness filled his eyes. He sighed and said, “I didn’t expect to see you again, and under these circumstances.”

Wen Xiaoxiao learned from her memories that the man in front of her was the older brother of her neighbor when they hadn’t moved yet. They had grown up together and could be said to have been childhood sweethearts.

Later, their family moved away, and not long after, her family also moved away.

Ever since then, they have lost contact. Unexpectedly, they could meet again now. Fate was truly unpredictable.

  1. M&M's says:

Now that there’s a possible love rival (not), Bo Yiliang will feel more pressure in needing to win Wen Xiaoxiao’s heart, lol. We’ll finally get to see Bo Yiliang make some serious attempts in the romance department, so I’m looking forward to it. I wonder how Wen Xiaoxiao’s brother will react in learning that he has family and if he’ll be able to cultivate because his body seems like it’s a terrible condition so far.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
