Surviving in Apocalypse with Children

Space Artifact Spirit

Bo Yiliang found himself having some feelings for Wen Xiaoxiao, just a bit of liking.

As for why he didn’t sleep with Wen Xiaoxiao, it was because they weren’t even boyfriend and girlfriend, so why bother?

If we talk about sharing a bed, they did share one that night five years ago.

After Wen Xiaoxiao finished her bath, she lay on the bed, unable to fall asleep. Meanwhile, the four children next to her were already sound asleep.

Wen Bei’s words kept echoing in her mind: “Mom, why don’t you sleep with Daddy?”

To be honest, before she transmigrated here, she hadn’t even touched a man’s little hand. If she is a single dog and has never been in a relationship, why would she sleep with Bo Yiliang?

She did have some goodwill towards Bo Yiliang, and he is also her type.

Thinking of Bao Yiliang’s handsome face, Wen Xiaoxiao’s cheeks turned slightly red. Fortunately, the lights were off and the children were asleep, so no one would notice her blushing.

As she continued to think, her mind drifted to the scene where the original owner had a relationship with Bo Yiliang. The whole person felt awkward.

Her cheeks were burning, and the tips of her ears and neck turned red too.

Embarrassed, Wen Xiaoxiao covered her face. She feels so shy!

Thinking and thinking, Wen Xiaoxiao fell asleep without even realizing it.

Not long after she fell asleep, Wen Xiaoxiao realized that she was in a bright and white place.

She felt very puzzled. Hadn’t she fallen asleep?

What is this?

Or had she died again?

These questions lingered in her mind, and she couldn’t figure out what was going on.

Wen Xiaoxiao looked around and found that besides the white mist around her, there was nothing else.

At this moment, a voice rang out from far away.

“Welcome, master, to the land of dreams.” Something she couldn’t identify flew to Wen Xiaoxiao and stood on her shoulder.

It looks a bit like a peach, with two green leaves on top, thin arms and legs, pink eyes, and a peach-like shape.

“Hello, master! I am your space artifact spirit, Peach.” Peach moved away from Wen Xiaoxiao’s shoulder and stood in front of her, explaining its reasons.

“Master, hello. In order to retrieve a trace of your consciousness from another parallel world, Peach fell into a deep sleep and just woke up today.” Peach continued to babble a bunch of words in front of Wen Xiaoxiao.

Wen Xiaoxiao felt a headache listening to it and said, “Stop! Can you explain it in detail? What do you mean by a trace of consciousness in a parallel world?”

Peach noticed Wen Xiaoxiao’s confusion and explained it in detail.

“The body you have now is your true body.”

“And that trace of consciousness is where you used to live. In simple terms, you and that consciousness are the same person.”

Wen Xiaoxiao was shocked. She asked incredulously, “You… you mean, we are the same person?”

“Yes, master. When you were born, a trace of your consciousness went to another parallel world.”

Wen Xiaoxiao was a bit puzzled and asked, “Then, what about the books I read?”

“Peach… don’t know about that either. I just woke up now, and I’ve forgotten a lot of things. I only remember some fragments.”

Unable to get more information from Peach, Wen Xiaoxiao didn’t press on it further.

She continued to ask, “Then, in the novel I read, why isn’t there your presence?”

Peach answered, “Because the jade pendant is in someone else’s hands, and that person is not of the Wen family bloodline, so I can’t appear.”

Peach said with a sense of grievance, “Otherwise, I wouldn’t have ended up waking up only now.”

Peach had spent a lot of effort to bring the consciousness from the parallel world back into Wen Xiaoxiao’s body and ended up falling into a deep sleep.

Originally, it didn’t know how long it would take to wake up, but now it has woken up.

It forgot an important thing.

  1. M&M's says:

So Wen Xiaoxiao’s consciousness existed in a parallel world (her past life) while the rest of it was in the original Wen Xiaoxiao of the novel world? A bit intriguing, but it could use a bit more detail to fully understand what exactly happened and why her consciousness was split in the first place. It might explain her inherent love for her children despite her cold nature, though, since the original Wen Xiaoxiao and her are in essence the same person.

    Thanks for the chapter! 😀
